I would like to know what would cause a distorted menu while trying to choose to have my email listed in order of when it was "Received" instead of "Conversation"? It use to work fine, but I have made changes to my kitchen and obviously I did something thats causing the menu to be distorted which is shown in the screenshot I provided. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
That's probably because you messed with the reg entries in the Menu Enhancement package. Namely, the size settings to resize the menus. Take all those settings back to stock and your menu will look normal again.

Thanks NRG. You were right. It was a Smaller Menu tweak I got from the Sense 2.5.2016 VGA Port thread.

You have to get the correct settings that are (almost exactly) developed for the version of menu enhancement you're using, otherwise you get that problem. Cookiemonster has a couple of threads with smaller menu cabs floating around if you want to keep that mod..

I've been searching for awhile for the registry entry that controls the color of the selection highlight when you scroll thru different selections. An example would be when you scroll you start menu or contact and such.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
EDIT: Here is a link to most (all) of the registry entries for theme colors

Scroll down for Custom Manila cab file
I did this a long time ago with SKTools, but im sorry because dont know the registry key for this.
Thanks for the reply. I've since then managed to find it and was actually looking at the right key all along but for some odd reason my phone would not respond to that particular key change. Finally I decided to cab up the theme and install it with my registry edits and it worked great Now I have a Manila theme without the ugly green highlight. It's grey instead
Bump due to updated info...

lllboredlll: may i ask what font you are using, and more importantly, how you were able to make the start menu font non-bold?

I'm pretty sure you download it within HHC. That's how I get it now even though I have the file on my PC. Are you running HHCv10final?

I extracted an OEM from PPCGeeks OEM package and tweaked it. The font setup is the same as it was in the manila theme pack but I changed the color.
Other than that, here's a link to the thread that explains some font changes.

Not sure what I have. I'm almost positive it's final though since it's in the PPCGeeks kitchen. But thanks for posting it! It wasn't there.

That one is the final version. If you goto the download tab, click connect to download server. Once connected select Icons from the drop down menu then scroll down. It's right under all of the baseball sets.
I tried itje's 4.0rc3.1 and it is awsome. For me not ready for daily use though. Question, is there a cab for the new dialer (because it works flawlessly in landscape unlike the blackstone one). Also, can the new start menu be used without TF3D? Is there a cab for that, or does that come with TF3D 2? How about the youtube from the TP2? I am guessing/hoping that has landscape support.
bumping this up - have the same question A cab would be awesome

To answer my own question, it does come from TF3D. The programs tab from TF3D has become the new start menu. It is possible to revert to the old start menu and reinstate the programs tab. Also, if you disable TF3D, old start menu comes back.

So I would have to install the new TF3D(from Rhodium) to get this running, right?

Yes, install and you must enable it.
What about the dialer? Could that be available as a cab install for Xperia R2A stock ROM?
Does anyone know about any other way to set the start menu to display a bigger menu - easier to tap while driving - then the enlarged menu?
Thanks

Quick Menu (Try the Menu item edge option in the View tab.)
im trying to change my icons on the manila but only some of them change does anyone know how to fix this proble thanks
Which icons have you changed and which ones are not changing?
the weather and the calender changed but the others did not music, internet search, settings, people, home
What program are you using to change the icons?
I have been using cfc-gui to change my icons and they are grouped together depending on what they are (i.e. - tray, hero, people screen, weather screen, etc.).
Are you trying to change your "tray" and "hero" icons or icons within each tab?
no programs just cabs from different people on this site
You're not making the rookie mistake that I made and installing a cab (to change the icons) on top of one that is already installed?
yup, so what do I do? Help me learn
Just uninstall all of them and soft reset. You should be okay.
how do i do that? where do i go
Click the Start button in the upper left hand corner.
Start>Settings>System>Remove Programs
Select a program and click "Remove" in the bottom right hand of the screen.
sorry for the missunderstanding i knwhow to remove programs i want to change the icons but i dont know why only some changed and would like all of them changed
It depends on the cabs. Some people change all of them and some only change some. For instance, my cab that I have installed doesn't change the photo, music, or AT&T tabs because I didn't include them in the changes.
can anyone post these? im trying to change the calendar and history icon under my clock.

So it won't just uninstall what it can "find" and not worry about what it doesn't?
Also, when unintalling a program/theme, how does it know what to revert back to? Are the original files not overwritten/deleted?
When HTC Sense is enabled the "settings" link in the program screen is linked to the settings tab/pane in HTC Sense. When Sense is turned off in the Today-settings, the same link points to the standard setting screen of windows mobile.
What I want is to make the "settings" link in the program screen to point directly to the standard windows settings (used to be "control panel), or better yet: a standalone HTC settings app then can run outside the Sense environment.
Why? I want to turn of the settings tab in the HTC Sense interface. Something that easily can be done by editing the registry. This way I can manage to minimalize the amount of tabs to 5. Just enough to prevent the disorienting scrolling to the left and the right when selecting a tab.
Can it be done? Is there an easy way to open the windows settings screen while Sense is enabled?
Thanks
You should try BsB Tweaks, one of it's options does just that.
Find it here:

Is there a way how to set it through registry instead of installing a special app on that? Thanks

For who wants to know:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Configuration\12
Setting Enable to 0 hides the Settings panel in Sense.

BsB Tweaks does much more than just this.....Just check out the page and you will find that BsB Tweaks is a MUST HAVE App
Besides lots of tweaks it also makes it easy for you to Add Rotation for programs that do not automatically rotate, and/or add Pinch-to-zoom for programs that by themselves do not support pinch-to-zoom.
If you don't want to install the app, you could ask makeveral how he does the settings Tweak (I wouldn't know).
Pappagallo: Ok, thanks for tip.

Set this to zero:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo:HideSettings
and reset.
But there will be two identical icons for Settings after this. You can delete settings.lnk from the Start Menu to get rid of the HTC Settings.

That's fantastic. Now do you have any idea how to create a quicklink to the new windows settings? Can't find it for the life of me...
yes. noob here. All the *setting*.ink's i can find lead back to the sense settings, or handle different/specific settings entirely.

Same here. Would like to change some icons in standard WinMo Settings but can't find it in the Start Menu folder.
Hi guys, just got my HD2 few days ago,
I haven't modified the rom or anything just applied the following:
Dutty's Taskmanager
DJC Taskbar
Cookie's Home Tab
I don't know how the quicklink or shortcut text looked before but I noticed that the text is not as clear, I mean the white color of the text of homescreen shortcuts is not as clear, I have no problems with reading anywhere else except on the home tab....
The white text is bit hard to read... I don't know if everyone has this problem?... is it normal?... Also is there a way to change the size of the text because I think if I make it like bold text, then it would be much easier to read....
again the Start button text, menu and phone at the bottom (which are quite thick letters) look very fine its just the text of shortcuts and weather temperature...
please let me know if anyone else has similar text that is hard to read..
thanks
is cleartype enabled?

Hi.... I don't see "Screen" icon when I go into system... ?? Which option are you talking about?
Please clarify
Thanks
p.s. this issue is the same as one discussed recently about pixelated home tab...
I am using stock rom with Cookie's Home tab....
If anyone knows about any .cab files that can be installed to solve this problem, please let me know.. .thank you.. again the problem is hard to read quick link text and weather text below the clock on the home screen (when I say hard to read It is somewhat blurry but readable.. this is not a serious issue but it doesn't look very good on the huge screen of HD2) any help will be appreciated thanks....

seems teh screen settings are hidden by default in some roms.
With a registry editor, browse to
HKLM/controlpanel/pen and change the value of 'Hide' from 1 to 0.
Soft reset, then go settings tab - menu - all settings - system and you should see screen settings icon.

You are a life safer! it makes such a huge difference I can't believe it wasnt on by default! amazing!!!! thanks thanks thanks!
pleasure
Nice, this should go in the tweak list!
While I agree that ClearType makes a huge difference, I second the request to make quicklinks text in Cookie's Home Tab larger or adjustable. ClearType or not, it is quite hard to read as of now.
