Where the hell is my phone from ???? - Galaxy S I9000 General

I bought my SGS here in the UK from a well known second hand electrical sales company called CEX, I decided to investigate which provider it was originally with (although I purchased it provider unlocked) I can tell the phone was purchased new at the beginning of august, and though that the CSC would help me, IE was it on voda with a VOD csc, but when I went to look, there are no clues and I cant find my CSC mentioned anywhere on this website.
I90000XAJF3

It has been mentioned in this thread:

"My phone came from Vodaphone 16gb Unlocked near enough day of release FW JF3 and CSC XAJF3. "

Thanks dude, I was searching for the whole thing !

Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 shopping in store? Austria, Hungary, Germany ...where?

Hello,
In my country (Serbia) this phone will show up for maybe 2-3 months or later. I can't order online because importing is too complicated (radio frequency etc..blah blah..) so I would like to buy this phone somewhere in Hungary or Austria. I will go on trip for few days from 3 july. Can anyone tell me is there any store in Austria (can't read germany) like vodaphone shop or something to buy this phone. I will visit Austria and Hungary. If there any place please let me know.
I made contact to this website
http://www.zippzarmobile.hu/
and they told me for 20 days they will have it but I need before that because I will be on trip before that.
Why is importing difficult? Amazon.de has it already in stock, sells it for 484,97€ (the 8gb version) and it uses the same frequencies as everywhere else in Europe. They charge 6€ for shipping to non-EU european countries, which includes Serbia. If you have difficulties navigating the amazon.de page, use www .amazon.co.uk as a guide, they look the same.
To look for stores in Vienna, see: geizhals.at/a535151. html. currently, nobody has it in stock yet. I bought it last week at an A1 outlet, but they only have branded versions.
In Hungary, i have also seen some ads, like www .220volt.hu/Samsung+GT-i9000+Galaxy+S+8GB , but it is expensive, almost 100€ more than in Germany or Austria. This was the same with the HTC HD2 back in 2009. It was available in Budapest some weeks before in Vienna, I even went by the store, but it was way too expensive to not wait for one or two weeks longer.
So I would recommend to use amazon.de. They have very good customer service if the device should turn out to be faulty and ship very fast. If mail order is really not possible, check out the geizhals.at/ a535151.html page for Austrian shops: if any of them turns green, it means, that they have it in stock.
importing is very difficult because they are asking me for some document from radio regulatory agency + for new products you need to make some test in some special facility + will cost me like 400euros....for 2 phones.
Anyway I ordering online a lot ...but when you order something with radio frequency that is ....really hard.
I will consider this Hungary. Thank you!!!
I bought it with 381GBP at HandTec UK
I would say it depends on when you will be in Austria. At the moment the phone is just launching, so most stores handle their pre-orders first. Here in Germany more and more shops claim it "in stock" so things seem to relax. But for now I can't find a shop in Austria. Are you in Austria before or after July, 3rd?

Galaxy S 16GB no longer available in Europe!

I went into my local Vodafone store with a friend who is after one the same as mine and we where told the 16GB version is no longer available in Europe , is this correct?
We tried a Phones4you and they did not even know there was a 16GB version for sale.
On the plus side he said Vodafones version of Froyo 2.2 when it comes out will not have all the Vodafone crap integrated into it this time around.
Paul.
they did have 16gb last week in holland though =/
When I was looking to upgrade through either Orange UK or Phones4u there was no option for the 16gb version (which I really wanted) so guess it's not that readily available

In Ireland they are waiting to re-stock soon. People can register again to be notified when it's available again in http://comingsoon.vodafone.ie/register/galaxys

I think the 16GB version is exclusive to Vodafone. Other operators here also sell the SGS but the 8GB (as in the phone stores)
No, there is an unbranded 16GB available for Portugal. I have one that I bought in Holland ( http://www.studentenmobile.nl ). It came with English and Portuguse manuals.
Product code is : GT-I9000HKATPH
Build Number: ECLAIR.XWJM2
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
I rang Samsung Netherlands, and they said that the guarantee is valid in Holland, and everywhere else within the EU for the I9000.

yeah, some of the first batch of notes sold online were the polish plus carrier locked model. i bought mine online here in australia and it ended up being the polish model, we've been slow to get updates. our last update was KKA.
just completed the update.
we are now on.
PDA - N7000XXLC1
Phone - N7000XXLB2
CSC - N7000PLSLB1
Baseband - N7000XXLB2
about time we got a beefy update. sucks that it isnt ICS though.
so its lc1 - polish plus released it few days ago
ahh yeah, I think I got lucky, my wife bought mine for me in November and I got the Debtel German model... so while I too am in Australia I've been getting pretty regular updates...
besides i get polish Orange carrier (non branded) Note and its still on kka officially ;p thanks god for odin
It's also sad what happened here a few weeks ago. Samsung spent a lot of money to promote the Galaxy Note, renaming the main subway station with "Sol Galaxy Note" and putting there people all day showing it. The problem is that they had only 3 units and all running KKA firmware. I pointed out that to the people there and they did not seem to even have an idea of what a ROM is.
If they want to show the device, load it with the best firmware available and up to date programs, not just the demo video.

New Zealand SGS3 prices...

Im sure everyone is getting their hands on a SGS3...for those kiwi XDA members, blue is basically unavailable...Ordered my 32GB today haha...at Noel Leeming...
Noel Leeming has the 20% off deal for all Vodafone handsets...$839NZD for 16GB and $919NZD for 32GB...cheaper than Ebay offers at the moment! Official New Zealand stock, not parallel imported...Vodafone stores are still taking orders for $1049 for 16GB...a few of the dodgy parallel importers have it for about $1019...not far from New Zealand stock, so you might as well get stock with valid New Zealand warranty...**** Smith has it for $949? from what I have heard...not sure if its New Zealand stock, I suspect parallel imported since **** Smith do not sell Vodafone?
My friend working at a Wellington Vodafone has confirmed that they are out of stock...though I suspect that JB HIFI still have stock as they were unwilling to disclose stock numbers but insisted that stock was still available for purchase lol...
I have heard that some people have managed to get another 5% off $839 at Warehouse Stationary? Basically $797NZD...can anyone confirm this??? sounds wayyyy too good?
cant wait to get my hands on it!!!
16GB White ONLY:
Warehouse Stationary: Not listed on website / have heard some have purchased for $797NZD
**** Smith: $949NZD (confirmed) limited stock (suspect to be Telecom stock)
JB HIFI: $1049NZD (confirmed) Vodafone stock
Noel Leeming: $839NZD (confirmed) Vodafone stock
Vodafone: $1049NZD (confirmed)
parallel importers: $1019~ refer to Pricespy.co.nz (patchy stock...)
The ETA for Blue 32 through Noels and Bond + Bond is mid June, I work at Bond's and ordered the Blue 32 aswell I will update this post as soon as I can confirm we have stock in quantity
Please use the new zealand thread for this, ask the op of it to update with the info you need. Else we end up 20 threads per country and loose track of the important ones..

pre ordering.

Hi all just a question I'm from UK and pre ordered the s8 from vodafone but my question is.
If I've pre ordered the phone and get it 8 days early before they launch it in the shop do i get the phone from vodafone with there stuff on there or do they take so many pre orders first then order them from samsung to deliver straight to customers?
Not sure how this works
from previous experience . I have always found vodaphone phones always come with there own custom firmware not the generic firmware direct from Samsung. so will have vodafones own apps etc and proberly wont get updates as fast because when Samsung delivery a new firmware Vodafone will then customize it with there own things before releasing
Oh well looks like I be flashing it with Odin when I get the chance.
Thx anyway
