Hey
i just delete all my contact number of my sim card without i know, it was a mistake
can somebody tell me how to get it back i buy one sim card reader but i still cant get it back
if you already have the numbers on your phone, you can always save them back to the sim card with the sim card Apps on Android Market like http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.happydroid.c2s
It happened to me also as I was playing with SGStools. Quit sgstools and boom no contacs.
Updated the. Cvs file I had from old phone and done.

so when I first got this phone, put my sim card in, looks like all my contacts from the simcard got transferred to my phone, so now I see duplicates of everything... one set is on the phone, the other is on the sim card... how do I delete the ones from the sim card and copy the ones on the phone over since I have done some organization from outlook contact when synced?
THanks
Sorry if this has been covered but i have my contacts on my sim card but need them on the phone to sync to "my phone" (storage place) question is how do i delete the ones on the phone afterwards without going through all 200 contacts manually?
Paul. (yes there is allways one!....me.)
try sim manager
Sallcho thanks for reply but i still cant do it, (sorry)
i have gone on sim manager but cant seem to delete the contacts on phone but leave the ones on the sim. there is to many options!
Paul.
Oh, I thought u need to delete the SIM ones and leave the phone ones. So if you need to delete the phone ones, and leave the SIM ones, just take out the sim card and try going to sim manager again(I think it should still work with SIM card taken out) and try deleting it there Your SIM contacts will be saved cuz no sim card is inserted
Wicked! thanks mate, btw couldnt go on sim mnger cos there was no sim! so just went on contacts and deleted there, thanks for sending me in right direction
Paul.

can't seem to get any help around here....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427092&highlight=Airtel
found by using search for the word Airtel if you need other hits
well i've tried dat b4, but it doesnt seem to help, my phone is not detects the SIM card but its always on 'off'... i can't access STK or SIM contacts either...
These problems started appearing after I fitst flashed over the original ROM that came with my phone(why didnt I take a backup ),
It actually started I think when I messed with the EXTRom, I feel this cos now my extrom does not auto execute after a hard reset or after a flash... 0
So i feel some necessary files aren't being installed...
Any ideas?????
same thing with my htc vox. wont detect sim card.
Clean the contacts.
flyboy
do u mean SIM card contacts??? or phone contacts?
I don't really have any contacts on the phone memory cos I dont use that phone now, for obvious reasons..... but the SIM card works perfectly on any other phone...
And what do u mean by 'cleaning'? As in just delete all the contacts or sumthin???
Thanks
errmm....
metal contacts on sim and phone!!!!!
lol
flyboy
well it does detect the SIM card so I dont think theres any problem with the contacts of either SIM or phone..
The problem is it just says 'phone is off' with no option to turn it on...
The reason why I know it detects the SIM card is cos when I remove the SIM card the network icon says 'No service', and when I insert the SIM card I get the message 'The phone is off'..... So that obviously mean it detects the SIM card on the phone but its not able to turn on...
Any ideas?
Hello guys
I'm having an issue when my x10 says there's no Sim card inside and the problem isn't with my Sim card since I tried in my old phone and it works. Even other Rogers Sim card don't work. Anyway I tried taking the battery out and after 3 attempt its working again. So, I want to know anyone else having the same problem and what's the solution?

I had the same issue but mine was a little different. My Xperia would not accept my rogers Sim ( 3 years old ) but it worked fine in all my other handsets.. it was the Sim card in my case and I was surprised to have it replaced free of charge.. also I found that some of the Sims are thinner than others so they would not have enough pressure to make a good contact. A quick fix from my friends Nokia was some clear tape on the back of his sim and it worked perfect.
Good luck!

TMobile's customer service department told me to bend the sim card very gently to ensure good contacts are made. Did this on first day and not had any problems since (famous last words... I'll be digging out the tape by tomorrow!)
My Sim card is like 5 year old anyway It's working now

All u guys with 5yr old simcards need to get rid of them! Those have like 28kb of storage on them, so their phone books are so, so limited!
I know! U use the phones memory, which is a whooooooole bunch! But if your phone ever crashed, all your contacts will be gone! U cannot always copy the entire list of contacts to the sim card, but with a newer 3G simcard, you can copy a lot more than your 5yr old sim card can hold.
These are free! Just walk into your provider's store and request a new simcard. U dont even have to show them what kind of phone u have (ahem!... those of us who are skimming with grandfathered data plans ). Just walk in and say "left my phone at work, but I need a simcard".
I think this thread will help you
as it does for me

I checked that thread, but I hadn't rooted my x10a yet. Going waiting until something extraordinary happens
Someday I will change my sim card lol
Please I do not know where to post this question for help, but since this is the ROM I am using, I figured I should ask here first.
OK here is my scenario: I had an old sim card I Was using frokm a Company that was later bought by T-mobile. Some of my contacts stayed on the SIM, and I wanted to have them synced with the google contacts so I could get them all together. So I put the old deactivated SIM card back in my old mytouch and imported the contacts into my google account, and then put the New Sim card into the mytouch to get data sync , and get the contacts onto the server. For some odd reason, I put the old SIM into my HD2 (7), and now the phone is deactivated and asking me for the Activation code.
Mind you, this does nto scare me because I have my activation code. What scares me is that my emails are gone, text are all gone,, and most things are greyed out.
Is this a Security Feature by Windows Phone 7? If so, how do I recover my texts especially back? There business documents, contacts, all that gone.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP.
Put the card you used to set up WP7 back into the phone and all should be well. WP7 uses the card as core RAM and does not distinguish between card and phone storage. If I understand you correctly, you have effectively taken away a big chunk of the phone's OS and replaced it with an empty (for the purposes of WP7) card.
Reactivate the phone and maybe you will be fine. I guess this is an anti theft feature of WP7. Go to your live account on your PC and check the status of the phone.

I would have thought that should work, and that it how it should be, but NO. The phone wiped out everything. Including my Music. This is a feature that is badly implemented. What if someone has 2 SIM cards and they travel out of the country and want to switch sims? So, it just wipes out all their Data?
I am so sad at this point I don't know how to feel. None of those texts were even backed up anywhere, including my created documents.
well that's odd, I have two sim cards from a different provider that I swap quite frequently and they work just fine
Just tested a SIM swap and it works on my HD2 too. Seems your problem is different.
