It would be really super helpful if you could post it biotch

this is very much in the wrong section. there is multi page thread about swype in the apps section.

Thank you ryan but your post was worthless. Just as worthless as me posting in the wrong section.
Now bck to the topic. Post that file link plz

Well, if you can muster up the courage to look for yourself, (I can't post links yet), go up to the top left of the page, and click on "HTC Aria" by the house button, and then click on "HTC Aria Themes and Apps", and from there click on "Swype v1.56.30.7625 HVGA for Aria". Here in the 5th page of this thread, is the link to the newest version of Swype for Aria (that I am aware of). Ryan's post was very much not worthless, as if you weren't the way you were, you would have realized that his post contained all the information you needed to find the answer.

How to get Swype on Android

The only thing I like about winmo is Swype, is there an apk file or something so I can use it in android?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
There are some downloads floating around for it, but were not supposed post it on xda cause its still in beta and not a public release...so you prob wont get it here. Might get lucky though....
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
That's not why we're not supposed to post it, it's because it is proprietary software and I think XDA got a C&D on providing it so it's technically considered warez even though you can't buy it.
If you look elsewhere though, you can find it.

Lol, yeah just swype policy, but it's ok if it's on the phone from the start
Looks like good stuff. Has anyone tested most the features? enterprise mail? google apps? all the basic stuff? Who's first to compile a list of what doesn't work?
I'll be looking forward to someone getting this fully functional. I'm sure it won't take too long now that the discovery was made.
I have the physical keyboard 100% working Im trying to figure out the camera right now. Im not the smartest guy in the world, and i figured this out, so i give it til next weekend and we should have a few more options...
Rumm_Rx 100% working on D2
I been messin with it over the weekend, and FINALLY got it. Physical keyboard, swype, camera and video playback work. I know someone else already ported this rom to the D2 and hes tryin to get Rumm to put it out, but if anyone knows the guy, help us out

Just to add to this. You'll find it under ROM Management then under Nightlies.
It's the .6 build. It appears to still have some Blur in it, like the T9 Dialer, which I'm very happy about.
I don't see a way to change the skin at this time from the Yellow to something else though.
Their app. Learn to google please
Actually they said they'll start releasing it on the forums more promptly as well. The plan is to get v0.6 out today while v0.7 gets into the nightlies.
So you have two options:
- get their toolbox and access to the nightlies as soon as they become available
- or follow the forums and get the builds a few days after they are released in the toolbox

I agree with JMoney... google is a very very very good place to go to get answers that probably have already be answered here many times over.

No actually I think it was quite necessary. Almost no droid x roms are hosted here. If people could search before posting here a lot of questions could be easily answered without making a new thread

Thanks Pzyborg!
The truth is that I did search for the answer on google and on the forums... maybe I didn't do that well of a job since mister smartass (jMoney) thinks it was so obvious, but apparently I wasn't the only one either that had the same question.... but in any event thanks to the people who were useful by answering my question and helping make this a great website

Yes, it is really nice to have liberty toolbox, however, after you have installed GB you cannot open it -- also if you could open it - how did you do it?
Thank you.

ICS for GT-p1000 NOT confirmed

Hey guys!
Great news. Just read an article in the German Bild-Zeitung that HTC and Samsung confirmed a "limited feature" version of ICS for SGS, HTC Desire, our beloved Tab and other "older" android-devices.
New years first good news!!!

hey spike thanks for the heads up but I would like to read it with my own eyes. do you have any link, since google gives me zero results.

yup, i have checked there also.
Its not a limited version, its just plain Android without Touchwiz.
That was a translation error when they translated it from Korean
Here is a link (Sorry, german, don´t know a english source and I am to lazy to use google right now)
telekom-presse.at/Galaxy_S_und_Galaxy_Tab_bekommen_doch_Ice_Cream_Sandwich.id.18079.html
PS: Can´t post links because of stupid XDA forum rules
@ Sadmod
Thanks for the source. I read something similar a few days ago. Unfortunately, it is still nothing official in my pov. It is mostly a translation of what has been posted on XDA news a few days ago. This all is still based on rumors. Until there's no official confirmation I am trying not to get my hopes to high.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
here it's confirmed no ICS:

that is also old news.
