Mad team has ported Gingerbread to Galaxy 5...it is in testing progress....I saw a tweet by them....and they are looking for developers who can help him porting gingerbread to Galaxy 3...Hope we get gud news soon guys

i think the same... and i think that Froyo it's good enough for our phone.
Sad to know that the G5 is an inferior phone to the G3, yet they have had more sucess than us at getting updates and modding. It is thanks to motafoca, a G5 developer that Kyrillos now has his amazing G3 ROM

Hoping our tab's will be getting something sooooooon.
Samung UK announced the SGS2 will be getting ICS in January. Hopefully the Tab won't be far behind.
Hopefully we'll see a port soon in the ROM's.

I am moving to Motorola Defy community as someone gifted me a Motorola Defy+, so I gave my Galaxy 3 to one of my friends.
I would like to thank all the developers here for making my experience with Galaxy 3 incredible with awesome ROMs and kernels and various mods. It really helped me to use my phone to it's maximum potential.
Recommend you use MIUI ROM on your Defy. My friend had it and it's awesome!

I changed from Samsung Galaxy S2 to Samsung Galaxytab 7.7 3G.
In xda-developers forum there are many Roms (Custom and Stock) for the S2 but only a few for the Galaxy Tab 7.7.
What is the reason for this?
Will there be more roms if ICS for Galaxy Tab 7.7 is out?

I think because it is such a new product and also development is focussed on ICS and there is a fair amount of work to port from CM9 from other devices and build a working rom with no issues.
It is close though! I can't wait.
The custom tweaked and stock v3 is soon to be released and if anything like v2 it will be even better and run very well.
Lets support our devoted devs!!!
The answer probably is:
GS II sold a ton of devices (10 millions at least) and was brought to Us early
GT 7.7 is selling few devices and in Us came only trough verizon few time ago

recently i bought a new Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. The device is amazing!
The problem is that there isn't any vanilla rom for the tablet.
I'm a big fan of Paranoid Android, used and still using it on another devices of my.
I'll be more than happy to see a PA rom for that device (the Wi-Fi version).

Might want to post your request in your devices section where there are likely some devs willing to port it. You won't see anything official
