video recording issue! - HD2 General

Hello i have this problem while video recording the image gets stripes trough and just flickers cross the screen than its visible in playback and it gets stuck after 2 secs but sound keeps on going! it happens all the time! what can i do?
can i reinstall that camera app or something? picture taking is fine! some help please! =)

I get a similar issue occasionally when taking video. Half the screen (usually the bottom half) will be green with lines through it for the first 1 or 2 seconds before everything becomes normal.
The android video recording never does this for me, so I assume its a bug with the manilla camera software.

hmm strange... any solution for it yet? iv tryed the pink fix maybe i thought i could handle the fix for it too but it didnt =/... grrr..

sigh....i get the same darn thing!

Could this be a corrupted driver for camera? can we try few drivers see what happens! maybe it would work!

Which Radio Roms are you all using?
The radio Rom also controls the camera, perhaps changing it will help you with your problem.

You.
Are.
Perhaps.
A genius.
I was just thinking about this very thing. Since I had to flash a new radio when I installed android (went from 2.06 to 2.12) I have NOT had any glitches in video recording. I was just going through some of my recent videos and they all look perfect (including all the ones taken in WinMo.)
/solved
good call Wilco

Could some 1 tell me where can i find the NEWEST RADIO! and do i need to flash hardSPL3 to use it? im still kinda lost in this :/...

Newest radio? You should probably read THIS thread. The best radio for you is not necessarily going to be the "newest" one.

interesting i just flashed a new rom athemis v33 and 2.12 radio and now all is fine! seems the rom has made me trouble! i left the radio on 2.12 :/... complicated stuff haha

Music speeding up in android?

New here, dont think this has been brought up. Has anyone else had the problem where music played in android sounds like its been sped up? It has a high pitch and the song seems to be a couple seconds shorter than it should. Any ideas?
The same thing happens to me. Weither it is from my sd card or through pandora.
same thing here. it sounds like alvin and the chipmunks!
I'm not entirely sure but I think this is because of the same reason which makes the clock go faster than it should be.
This is because android is set to turbo mode, so that it runs faster and smoother for you guys, but i'm sure the devs will have something sorted out soon so that its at normal speed.
sorry if i'm wrong, but i think that's what the problem is

WHEN this is the problem than guys who have this should read the right posts. You have to try the different Zimages,or in best way the latest. There are no problems anymore with pichtin tracks or turbo mode.
no problems with dan's v1 2.2 froyo build with music. I've always started up android manually via explorer instead of using one of those dual-boot solutions... maybe that'll help you guys?

Which ROM and Radio are you using?
I am running the newest version of wm6.5 and radio version 2.10.50.26. im just too nervous to brick my phone by putting a new rom on it, should that help?
This is related to the robot noise in calls issue.
It is fixed by using a tmous 2.10 base winmo rom.
Search could have told you this....

I had this issue (Chipmunk-esque music playback and robo-voice). Flashing to my current rom fixed both problems.
My radio version is 2.10.50.26 on the stock tmo rom (2.13.531.1) and still get the sped up music and robot voice also running the latest zimage from cotulla.
same here, zimage seem not to solve the problem its also not the turbo mode cuz mi clock is working correct but the tracks still sound to fast. Would really like a fix flashed about 5 roms now but nothing seems to work.
I also appear to get this problem, could this be due to a change in hardware in recent models (i got a replacement HD2 in June).

same here. i just stopped listening to music while on android. the songs sound 10x better on winmo right now.
OK, an update seems i managed to fix it by flashing Dutty's latest test ROM

Is it a microphone issue?

Is it possible that I have, as I saw after intensive reading of forum, microphone hardware fail? I have bought used TMOUS HD2 with stock rom 2.10.531.1 and as soon as I used it in Serbian network, microphone gets low in volume with background noise. The same is happening as I upgraded to latest stock rom 3.14.31.1. If I use bluetooth, everything is quite nice, which tells me it is not radio or network issue.
Here is a sample of my voice recorded by Voice Recorder.
Thanks for any help
Did you install Android? If you have the same problem in Android or some custom rom its probably defective.
I am thinking of doing that. Well, your oppinion is if it behave tha same, it must be hardware. Weird, no posts at all complaining mic!
Thanks anyway, keep you posted.
Happy New Year to all
After installing Android, mike becomes slightly better, but not OK. Could it be some driver issue? As soon as I get back to WM6, it got worse!

NAND Builds: 2sec Wakeup LAG

Hello and sorry to open a new thread but i find that problem on every build!
Have you notice Wakeup Lag in all Nand builds?
It whant 2 seconds to light up the screen after i press the power (or any other) button.
Also the same lag ii take from sensor when i make a call.
Is that Kernel problem or is from MAGLDR?
I try SD and NAND build's.
Also i find that thread but....?

Flashing MDJ's Revolution HD Super Light v1.0 NAND ROM fixed this issue for me, it's completely unnoticeable on my HD2 now. I had a little bit of lag on the non light one, and always had it on any other ROMs I've tried. So glad it's fixed now
Even with wifi on it doesn't lag, I'm on an euro HD2 also
I have the same problom but someone doesn´t have this problem.
Many of the kernals had this issue in the past for me on the hd2. Good news is iv never had this on gingerbread releases.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
This doesn't belong here, it belongs in discussion or questions forum.
Just to add though, I haven't experienced any wake up lag.
I still have this issue with my HD2...Sd builts takes about 1 second lag on wakeup...
Nand builds have less than 1 second lag with a green line on the screen... I might try the GingerBread build to see if the problem is fixed!
Just recorded a video (ignore music, heh) showing how this lag is eliminated with my current build. Wake up lag and during call "black screen" is no longer an issue. Just noticed that proximity sensor doesn't work while having the speaker "on" during the call as you can see in the video, but I guess this is normal.

Even I have this wakeup lag while turning on the screen and during calls on EVERY build. Tried almost every rom on SD. Haven't tried Gingerbread yet. This is the only reason for me not switching entirely to Android. Previously the SD card was blamed for this. But if its still there with the NAND, this should be a kernel issue. The minimum lag was with the RAM built, but nowhere close to WM.
I guess the DEV's never had this issue, so they never fixed it. But as far as I know, there are many many people having trouble with this and still waiting for a fix.
I have this issue with my EU LEO. Is it specific to the EU hardware?
Yeap! It's very weird but yes...HD2 devices are not the same!
As is said on other threads ...My friend gave me an EU HD2 and Android didn't lag on wake up at all!!!!!!!!!!
I upload a video to show my proble in first post.
Sorry for the bad video quality.
we all have the same problem mate! Ok...sorry...the most of us!

Yeah, I see that extra 1 sec delay. Try this ROM, see if it changes anything.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893675
And this lag gets worse, if something is getting downloaded or installed and I try to turn on my screen. This really sucks when you have to use your keyboard in between the calls if you are not on speaker.
This will be present in every single build.
It needs to get fixed on kernel level...
To tell you the truth guys! I don't mind that 1 second lag on the wake up... My built is the Nand Froyo something(cmn 6.1 nand) I got the BEST BATTERY DRAINAGE.... Before 2 days i had 75% and today i left with 25% with a few calls, sms, wifi!!!! This ROCKS!!!!

Yes that is the true but how is gona fix that? Cause the Android cookers may dont have that problem, so didnt care a lot.
I see the US hd2 doesnt have that problem.

RESOLVED : Problem with autofocus in standby mode

Hi,
For two days, I have the autofocus of the camera that works all the time in standby mode only This is "click" at regular intervals
Including when I reboot, I hear just before you see the first screen of boot ...
By cons, as soon as I leave the standby mode before, no problem except that the camera is no longer the point, the autofocus does not work ...
And really weird is that this "click" I think varies according to the occupation of the CPU because if I leave an application running and I goes to sleep, I do not hear it!
I made a task29, wipe all over the place, install new rom, and also an original rom ... Even removing the phone to see if something was not disconnected but I have not found.
Do you have an idea how to cope ?
Or maybe a way to reset the memory lowest level because I think it is software, not hardware (well I think).
Thank you to those who can give me help.
Regards.
good post
good post
lol
Always the same problem with a fresh install of sense 3 with last kernel of Rafpigna...
no one has ever had this problem of noise camera in standby mode or to boot the phone?
Is it possible that this is a hardware problem?
What is really strange is that as soon as I get out of standby mode, the noise stops! And when I want to take a picture, the autofocus does not work ...
Task29 can't help me... Always the same issue... I tried WM7 I know it's sad but it does not change (I did not expect less).
No one can help me ??
...saw a post of a xda member with the same issue on the typhoon some months ago.
He made a video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46hRUY89A0E
..do youve got the same issue?
will it also autofocus all time when you dont got a rom installed?
Hi j4n87,
This is exactly the same problem, I can see the lens moving like that...
this is just since a week. it worked fine before !
This is after installing a version MIUI (when I had already installed several versions before without problems).
I try everything but I can not recover the normal operation of the camera.
Can you help me more ??
Thank you.
Regards.

I found that if I put in airplane mode, so no use of radio, there is no noise of the autofocus ...
I will try to degraded version of the radio to see if it changes something.
Alas no, it does not change, still the noise of the camera.
RESOLVED...
yay it works thanks to Dimension2035 (thank you very much for his invaluable help).
This is what to do:
- To MAGLDR
- Download the version of tytung
- Make the phone operational by using a little (there is always noise)
- Remove the battery overnight: miracle, everything works.
I'm really happy.
Here is the solution.
Regards and again thanks to Dimension2035

[Q] Phone is frozen after a call

So I switched to GB from WM65 and found it's pretty slow but usable. I don't have time to switch back to WM65 so I'll stick with GB.
Now, one big issue I have is the phone app (not wifi app, just plain phone). When I dial a number, the screen goes black to prevent pressing the wrong button with your ear etc. Problem is, I can't get back to the screen, meaning I don't have access to the dialpad. Annoying when you're on queue and you need to press a key to get to a menu... like repeat a message on your messagebank for instance.
Second issue, is after the call, the phone is frozen for about a minute or two. Nothing responds. Then it comes back alive.
I haven't found any threads on this, though users seem to complain about wifi calling, which is not my case.
Anyone has seen this ?
Txs.
Can you please tell us which ROM that is?
I know that this issue was fixed, but maybe your ROM is just too old. Or maybe the developer didn't include the fix.
I had this problem with almost every gingerbread build on my HD2.
Im not sure what's causing it, but i fixed this issue by installing screebl lite from play store. While this app enabled, phone would wake up normally after a call in 99.9% of the cases. You should try the same.
Strangely, i don't have any issues on ICS or JB roms.

Okay, I have looked throughout that thread's pages, and it seems that you're not the only one with that problem. So apparently the ROM doesn't have the fix (which is weird, because tytung almost always fixes everything in a rom before moving onto another one).
You're better off changing the ROM, or maybe trying to figure out what is wrong with your device and those who're facing the same issue.

Well, the fix wasn't a flashable zip, it was implemented. It was a problem with the proximity sensor if I recall correctly. And since I don't use this ROM, I can't really help you much.
I tried googling the problem (it's fun, you should try it) and this came up : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1376251
Your sensor/screen could be dirty making it hard for the proximity to detect. You can try another non-GB ROM and see if the problem is still present.
I am sorry I can't help.

Right, I'll go with the hypothesis that a dirty screen hinders proximity sensors. That should affect a black screen DURING a call (issue I'm also facing) but that should not affect the phone once the call is terminated, should it ? What I mean is, in my case, when I hang up a call, I can't use my phone for a couple of minutes, until it comes back to life. I will get a new "screen protector" and see what happens in the meantime though.
As for a hotfix, seems odd there is none out there. Thanks for trying.
