Agree.
I had just bought this device and hope there is a place for discussion and technical sharing.
I second that. A dedicated section would be great.

At this time, the i5800 doesn't seem to be popular enough to warrant a forum. We'll keep an ear to the ground.
Hi. Yeah dedicated forum for this device would be really great. Thanx
Bought one too, so a dedicated section would be awesome
As other people here, i own one of these phones (the i5800 version, selled by SFR, France) and i'd be very happy seeing a dedicated section.
thanks and regards

Hello all XDA Members,
I have been watching at the Android Development Section of Galaxy 3 for the wonderful development helping our phone to be a legend. First of all thanks to all the Dev's. Despite of requests by FORUM MODERATOR AND SENIOR MODERATOR some people (only some) are continuing to post General Questions and asking for help in the Android Development Section. Its a request please help to keep the Section clean and co-operate with the Dev's who are making out best from our phone. If the Galaxy 3 Sub Forum is divided into 4 Section that is they all have their own different purpose. You all should follow the rules of Forum.
Thanks for reading. Hope that you will follow and help the Dev's and provide all of us with a better Forum Experience.
So who all support me?
Yea i am with you and sorry for my dual posts in general and dev..but i really need help with partitioning...
Sorry again and hope i will solve my problem

While I agree with Athavan on that you probably shouldn't have made a new thread, it's done now, so, welcome to the forums! If you've got any questions after reading the standard FAQs and such, feel free to PM me

I guess it pays to re-read posts
Welcome , great to know there's someone else to help me
Always willing to help newbies when required, however it is strongly recommended to search the forum first and you'll most likely find the answers you need, if not by all means post and we'll be happy to offer assistance.

Why don't we have our own place in the xda forum?
It's a totaly different phone we look the same as the i9000 but the hardware is not a like at all!!
That's right. Totally different.

I think it's a good idea. Combining the thread here is not very neat.
Existing threads are easily overlooked.

Next question are there any rules or specific things that are required to get a main section? for the i9001.
What wintel_mac say's it is now very cluttered
Yes, please, different section for us please. The community is starting to grow. I have made a thread regarding a problem with my i9001 and it got lost with the i9000 threads.

+1 this phone is unique and needs a home of its own.
if this phone had been called a Galaxy Brilliant it would of got its own place.
why did the galaxy W or Galaxy S2 get a place they are all Galaxy phones.
A Galaxy S isnt a Galaxy S Plus, Get it sorted!
Maybe due to lower popularity of the phone and activity? When i first heard about the + i was thinking they are not different at all xD.
Well, we got 3 stable roms, 1 ICS in progress, couple of kernels, recovery mode, root, deodexe, etc. I would say we got pretty much everything, so we deserve a new section.

I agreed. Although one mod has explain it, I still counldn't help but to say this,
even galaxy R gets their own thread and not us? If someone wants to say S+ is almost similiar as S, then take a look at galaxy R and S2. why don't combine R along with S2 since according to XDA "The Samsung Galaxy R is a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II that is less expensive". well?
our phone might be less developer but gives us time. it's not even a year yet. If after 2 years and our section is still poor then I understand if XDA decides not to gives us a section. But for what I see now, it is growing.
and this, maybe someone could convience mod to add our device to the list http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416406
+1 for i9001 section
Lol, our phone is not even in that list...this is not fair.

Alright, let's finally get all this off topic chatter out of development forums
Welcome to the place for us to hang out when we want to talk about things other than phones
This is posted in the SGS general because its intended for us to talk as an SGS community, not in the off topic forum
I think it would be best to keep personal things like where we go to work/school out of this, as this forum is a public place that anyone can see
Also try to keep things clean, as we have young people among us
Any SGS user is welcome here, don't be scared by anyone Australian, feel free to ask questions too
I'm thinking new topics every now and then, or we can just go where the thread takes us
Again, anyone is welcome, please feel welcome, and if you like, please contribute to the thread
But don't see it as a place to get over your 10 post barrier
If you are spamming to get your 10 posts, we will dob you in
So, what to talk out?

Finally I have created a petition for separate forum for Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
Sign The Petition
I don't know how it will help, but lets see by signing this petition up !!
Advantages of A Separate Forum
Better organised development.
Lesser spam.
Better understanding for noobs.
No more silly questions in development forum.
More recognition of device.
How You Can Help !
Share, share share...the more the signers the better !
As a ROM Developer : Add the link of petition in your ROM OP.
Add a link of petition in your Signature.
Guys, I don't know if it will help in the development for Samsung Galaxy S Plus or not, but we need a separate Forum !! So please be positive, and don't say that there is no use of a petition !
Signed. Will share on social network accounts in my signature.
Signed. This is really a good movement, I hate seeing my awesome phone is just a sub forum of i9000. Slaps in the face.
Signed! We deserve this!
Signed because we deserve that.
Signed. Well deserved.
I aint gonna work. Why:
1: Wrong place to ask.. There is a section on xda where we can ask this
2: Ive aske a moderator several times and got no answer.
I doubt we even get one but i signed anyway

Oh, please, stop making these kind of threads. this is like the tenth thread about getting a full subforum in the last year, and none of them have worked, and this one wont either!
The moderators of xda have made their decision a long time ago (see one of the sticky threads), and wont change their minds about it. I9001 will simply not get a subforum and especially not now anymore. The device has been out for 1.5 years, and new forums are only given to new / recent devices.
Yes, i know, having only one subforum is far from ideal, but sometimes you just got to live with things like this...
