hi guys, i flashed my touch hd blackstone with the maryone 23112 rom and all i get anytime receiving sms was no sound/alert. i was disappointed anytime my friends gives me call me and say "do u saw my text" please can someone help me on what to do or what app to install in order to get my sms alert sounds.
go tools find regedit

and change the value from 1 to 0

Why don't you disable "message sent" notification?

I have a HTC Wizard 100 (VPA Compact 2) and my new Notification Sound for incoming SMS and MMS is a Air-Raid Siren Sound wich goes 1 Minute. When i receive a SMS the notification Sounds starts, but when i opened the Message quickly the Notification plays the full minute. Is there a Registry Key or value to change this? I like to use this Sound but i dont want to hear the Sirens going on even the Message has been read. In the Moment i open the new Message the notification sound has to stop!

Hello there, back to XDA after using Nokia for more than a year. I bought today my HTC TOUCH HD, everything was fine until i noticed that i got 5 sms without any notification. I tried to send sms to my HTC and suprisingly i get no notification although i set everything correcting in the Text message notification in settings.( flash , vibrate , tone ). Please i need help as i feel not going to keep using it if no solution can be found.

i guess that something is freaked up somewhere. Hard reset and eventually reflashing ? do you actually HAVE the sim available? like making calls and everything
btw: the correct setting in the notifications window is not Messaging: new message, is messaging: new TEXT message.
Never Mind i got it working using some registry tweaks.
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <--set to "1" by default. Change value to "0"

Please Please will somebody help me change the SMS tone. i can change the alert tone but this does not change the SMS tone and i am buggered if i can find a setting for SMS alert tone.
i put sms pop up on but it just interferes with the default tone and they clash. cant seem to turn the default one off.

if you are using SMS popup, you need to switch off SMS notification in the message settings.
Messages > Menu > Settings > Notifications

I send a lot of sms in a day and it's very bad too delete the send box!
On my HD with WM 6.1 i can choice do not register send sms!
Please help me what i can touch in registry to not register send sms!
And when i send sms i want to view notification of send it! not a rapport sms juste one notification

i have a .cab for disabling the 'sent sms notification' for manila 2.1 in wm6.5, but i dount it would work for manilla 2.5 in wm6.5
i want notification!
