Hi. I need help with mp3Tag Software. I got it to tag all the songs with Cover Art but when I pulled them up on my phone, they Cover Art was there but it was individual songs instead of placed into one folder containing the Album Art.
Basically, I got a collage of Sade Songs (Around 10 or so) that I want to place as an album on my HD2 and I got the Cover Art on the songs to show up, but when I place them onto my phone after Tagging them with My personal Cover Art, they are not in one folder for Sade, they are individual songs and I need to know how to combine the songs so that it will show up in one folder with the Album Art I chose like Normal Albums that have the art in them. Can anybody help me?
Also, when I went back to the folder on my phone, I saw that it had made individual .jpg images of each individual track cover art.

you need to get the ten songs and tag them all with the same album name.
Sorry if it sounds noobish but I put the album name in the "Album" Text Field or "Album Artist" Text Field?
Nevermind. I got it. Thank You Soooo Much.
Whenever i launch the stock sense music app, all album arts are a picture of eminem reloading a silver gun, which are completely wrong album art.. I've tried to delete album thumb from sdcard and rebooted my phone many times. Its pretty annoying when i got 1100 songs and all of them got slim shady album art!
Please help :/
Haha no one needs that much Slim Shady.
I have similar strange issues with the Music app. Not that severe, most of my art shows up properly, but some of it just won't show up no matter what I do. I've even formatted my SD card and put my music back fresh. I'm wondering if the Music app has some sort of cache for album art that's stored on the phone itself. Next time I flash a new ROM, I will try formatting my SD card at the same time to make sure I get rid of any cache, plus any album art that's stored with the music on my SD, and I'll report back here.
I was having problems with art on the stock music app. Bought Album Art Grabber from the market and solved it. However I have now changed over to MixZing as my music player and that grabs the art just fine.
I had enabled the option to "exclude from media scan" various folders including the music folder, thinking this would stop album artwork from appearing in gallery.
I've now reverted back after realizing google music player is not recognizing the music folder. But this to no avail.
I've rebooted numerous times. I've taken out the SDcard and reinserted it but nothings working.
I've searched the market thinking an upgrade might solve the issue but no more google music player is on the market.
I've installed Player Pro, same story.. Not working.
But PowerAmp works! It can see music from folders but not from library.
I just switched from HyperdroidGBX to HyperdroidCM7. I don't know if I have done something wrong but any ideas on matter would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I just did a wipe data/factory reset and reinstalled the rom and it's still not updating the music folder!
Can someone please tell me whats going on?

UPDATE: FIXED!
I just found a ".nomedia" file in the music folder. Guess what I did with that.. OK I will stop talking to myself now. But now you know what to do if this happens to you search engine person.
Ok guys, question - every time I do a full wipe I have to reload most of my album art through the app "album art grabber" - it works well and doesn't take TOO long....but how can I save my album art so I don't have to grab it fresh every time? Do I have to save the images in the music folders individually? It's just a bit of a pain to grab them every wipe/flash as I have 100+ albums on the phone and seem to be wiping twice a week recently
Looking in my music folder, there is a folder named .imagecache where all my art resides...not sure what created it as the folder says it was created in dec...am currently using google music beta as my music player...worth a shot trying to create the folder and during it all in there, otherwise, yeah, having the art in each album folder should work too
I've recently updated my Moto G4 Plus to Android 7.0 Nougat. But a problem arose after updating and it's annoying me. Most of my music lost some information like album art, artist name, track duration, and title after copying them to my SD card. The weird thing is, they play fine.
Not all of them lost information but many of them did. The tracks that lost information show durations of 0:00 but then again, they play fine. This happens to all of my music players on my phone. (Phonograph, Google Play Music)
Here is another weird thing. When opening the music in a tag editor, the info finally shows up correctly (Album art, track info, duration, and all) but out of that, even I save it, the same problem occurs.
I have tried:
-Rebooting device
-Recopying music from PC to SD card
-Force closing music player apps
-Clearing data and cache from music player apps
-Editing them on a tag editor and saving them
-Removing and putting back SD card from slot
-Using ID3Fixer
-Deleting (com.android.providers.media) folder and rebooting
-Clearing cache partition
Try clearing data in Media Storage (com.android.providers.media). Then reboot.

It didn't work!
Install ID3Fixer from Play Store. I had the same problem and with this app I was able to fix it.

I've tried that and nothing worked. Sure, the artist names were fixed but not the track titles and album art. What charset did you choose?

US-ASCII (English)
For me it fixed the song titles too...
Try This
Is simple to solve, look at the TagScanner program, download and install it. Copy all your songs to the pc and open them in the program, note that the songs that are presenting the error are with album covers in png format and / or very large sizes (the ideal for the android is 600x600).
Change the png covers by jpg, and before moving to the phone again, force stop and clear the app data "media storage", restart the device and pass the songs to it. Apparently the android has an incompatibility with album covers at very high resolutions, so this bug happens.
Sorry for the bad English.

If that's the case, then why are my other songs with large album arts fine? Again, the problem didn't apply to all of my music. My other albums with 1000x1000 or more still show up the way they did before. Also, this is only happening to my current phone. When the files were in my old one, they didn't have these problems. (See attached screenshot)
Dude, I do not know how to explain what really happens. Just noticed that Android does not recognize the PNG format if it is over 600x600 in size, JPEG may be up to it to recognize in large sizes, but not PNG. Try switching the covers of the songs that are with the bug to a 1000x1000 resolution JPEG version.:good:
Happens with me sometime. For me, i simply copy the music files to other NEW FOLDER. & It got fixed. To be more sure just open ES Explorer & navigate to the music folder, it might show up the album art. Try once.
via: G4 Plus
I know this is late but I've discovered the reason. I now know what's causing the problem. For those who still use Moto G4 Plus to this day (or any other phone with the same problem), chances are it's because Android Nougat(?) doesn't support music files with cover art/album covers greater than 1 MB. It's not about the resolution, although it's what was observed by a user above. It's actually the image file size causing the problem. Compress your album images to about 800kb and your good. 900+ is okay but edging it may raise the chance of the problem reappearing. I do think this problem is already fixed on the newer versions of Android, and also I'm not sure if it's Android's problem or something about Motorola's software. Anyway, yeah, that was the problem. I discovered it myself, hahahahaha
