searching for a solution to change the name in the Flash Tool, in BlackStoneCustomRUU.exe
And, how can I change the name in first boot screen, the red numbers in line D
I see some ROM´s who have the owner name there.
Can anybody help me?

I understand that you are new to cooking world but for Search some words in the "search" at the top of the page its not necessary to be a MasterMind.
You said "I see some ROM´s who have the owner name there." so my guess is that there are already threads that explain this issue....dont you think?

Hi,
yes you´re right that I must first look at the search bar. Sorry for this.
But my english is not so good and at some topics I didn´t know how I must search for? Which keywords I must use to find a solution!
Anyway, I try to find my solutions in the future about the search button.

Ok look at ur all OEM rgu's there are many interesting entries and u can change ....
Hmmm,
I try to use this tutorial:
1. Open ROM/OEMXipKernel/nk.exe/s000 in any Hex Editor.
2. Search in Unicode for the current Version of the Rom, eg-5.12.88.
3. You will find 2 such results, Change both cause sometimes one is required and sometimes the other one.
4. If you are not able to find it then search for the Unicode string "Kernel Built" (Hex String4B 00 65 00 72 00 6E 00 65 00 6C 00 20 00 42 00 75 00 69 00 6C 00 74 00), shortly after this you will find the Current version of the Rom.

But I don´t find eg-5.12.88 in my Hex Editor. The Kernel Built was found, but I don´t see there any Information to change?!
Is it possible, that the file didn´t have this Information? Perhaps the informations are in other files?
Sorry, i dont remember if you already said which kitchen you are using,anyway , change the name in the CustomRUU.exe it is easy with osKitchen,let me know if you are using it and i will explain otherwise i dont know for others kitchens.
In the S000 in NK.exe you dont have to find "eg-5.12.88" but what is wrote in "D" when you boot up your phone( its called splashscreen)

on ma mdac is win mobile 03 running and i got 05 from a d00d, can i easyli update to 05 cuz that win version is from t-mobile, so do i have to make sure that the 05 is compatible or not?? and, ma 03 is running in german, and i think that win 05 is in english or is that hardware unique??

hey, please upload the rom file.. i can easily tell if the file is compatible...

if i start the install it says all in english (do a softreset blabla), so would that on the phone be english too or would i get it in german then???
Update won´t work.
It´s for the Himalaya-Device and not for the Magician.....

Sorry guy for my post....i'm a new member, and maybe somewhere ther is the solution to my problem but i didn't find it!!!
I have a HTC Wizard with WM5.
I installed iConatcts v0.2 with softkey configs and doesn't work....i uninstalled but the softkey is remained changed with the "iContacts" link instead that the normal Contact link !!!
How can I restore the deafult situation!?!??!?
I tryed also with a reg editor but i don't know what reg key i ahve to modify..... ...so...if u can please help me please!!!

So guys...also if nobody replied to me, i found the solution in the Universal forum!
This is the key to modify in the registry:
If you want to change the right-hand softkey to start Contacts you would set
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113\(Default) = Contacts
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113\Open = \Windows\AppButtons\Contacts.lnk

After read lot of thread, I think the solution is very near for me. But I block in front of the last step...
I would like to run Blackberry Connect 4 on my Artemis (SPV M650)
I have read on the General Discussion the different solution.
Now I think I must change the Device-Type-String: HTC-Artemis to HTC-Hermes.
I have extract the ROM in NK.NBF file but after when I want use HTC64.exe for decoding the file...The message is : It is not for your phone and I don't find the string.
Please If I don't know how I can find the Type String on the Rom for changing the name

High why cant i change/rename the shellres.... .mui file
reading searching alot and everybody says rename it to shellres... .mui.bak i try to but has no effect on my blackstone and it is my 3 time do to a hard reset

my phone got soft bricked recently, and luckily i was able to revive it. however it has no imei and baseband registered. Can anyone please help me how can i fix this? i dont have any backup of it
troubleshooting done sp far:
1. downdrade to LL stock firmware using raw files via AFT
2. flash new stock firmware via recovery.
3. factory reset.
nothing seems to work. please help me out. TYIA
