Whenever the games or applications are installed, they will be installed to the SD card (most of the time) for Froyo 2.2.
However, when I try to search for where these programs are installed I could not find them. Which folder in the SD card are all of the games/apps installed to? I need the name of the folder/directory.

Download AppMonster or Astro from the market. These will allow you to copy apks to your SD card. But note, you can't run apps from your SD card, you can only swap them in and out of memory.

Settings > application > open the app and make sure the second block on the right says "move to phone"... if it says that, then you then application is on the SD card. Or you can check the market for one of many free applications
Ok tried that doesn't let me save to sd card, now is that the only way or is there an app for that?

Ok got that I understand but I want to know if there is a way to move the apps that are not highlighted. The ones you can't move is there a app for that.
all apps cannot be moved to the sd card. if you used the method that was explained to you before and its grayed out, but not on the sd card, then chances are it cant be moved! an app has to have that option built into it in order to be moved to the sd card. you can contact the developer and see if the have plans to or to request that option!
Try appmonster it backups your apps if that's what you're asking

The themes should automatically be stored to the SDcard. Are you talking about the "theme setup"?
Yeah their not going to my sdcard okay I will tell you what I'm trying to do. I wanted to get one theme to put on my computer then use that theme to customize it to the way I like it. Would be easier than trying to figure out how to make one. Or if there is other way I'm all ears.
If it won't move to SD card, since you are rooted you can find it on your phone and COPY the folder/file to another place on the SD card, then connect to computer and drag and drop the copied file.

I have also done this guide. How to format your SD card
But even so i STILL cant get my apps to work when they are installed on the SD card. Had the same problem on the former ROM i had. I dont know whats wrong. If i move the app to the phone it works just fine.
PS. have installed app2sd (dont know wich one just googled one)
some apps just have this problem those apps (like angry birds) just only work when installed on phone memory

when you are using an ext partition, you dont choose to install to sd card, or use app manager to move them to sd card, , . Just leave them set to internal memory, and the OS will put them in the ext partition.

Your rom already has app2sd+ built in, (i think most do now, , note the +,, app2sd and app2sd+, not really sure of the difference, except the built in ones are +) you dont need to install it. It mentions app2sd+ in your roms second post, look out for that when you pick a rom, and you know it will automagically use the ext partition. No user input required.

do that, move an app back to the phone, then use a filemanager to browse to the sd-ext folder, you will see the app is there, , on the sd card, in the ext partition, even though the system says it is installed internally.
Thank you all for the awsome replies i will stick to it as it is..
God i love this phone....

May be a silly question but do you clean temp files of apps?
You can also try Move2SD Enabler from this post.
It allows you to move certain phone only apps to SD.
Eg. Fast 5 will become 264kb instead of 22.7mb on the ROM. The rest is installed to SDcard.
Remember to thank the guy if you do.

It changes a string for the installation location to be on the sd card.
So that apps that normally install to rom can be installed to sd.
However, it's not retroactive. After you changed the installation location to external memory, you can manually move apps to sd by going to settings and applications.
It's on the market but that version only works on Froyo. This one works of on gingerbread.

Now my phone is using just 200mb/380mb
I want to know where App2SD moves the files. I have flashed my device with RUU (official) and before I did that I had lots of apps moved to SD and now am not sure if the files from those apps are still on the SD card or not and if they are, where ?
It moves your apps to a magical place where they can roam free and happy

I could have guessed that myself (the name gives it away). What I meant is which directory on the filesystem and is it system directory that I can not access from the phone itself (unrooted)
If you are asking about Android's built-in App2SD functionality, check the .android_secure directory of your sdcard.

As far as I know 2.2 doesn't have this functionality

Here's the thing - Froyo DOES have that functionality. If you're rooting you should try to know a bit more about your device before attempting something so drastic.
Now, that app does NOTHING that stock app2sd doesn't already do. Only if the dev allows the app to be moved can it be moved. If nothing is in the .android_secure folder then no apps are on your sdcard - plain and simple.
a2sd (a2EXT) is much different. It moves every bit of every app to an ext partition. You need Linux or a program capable of reading ext partitions if you're on Windows to see the apps and copy them over.
You could just get Titanium Backup and save the apps so you won't have to worry about any of this while switching between ROM's or whatever else you decide to attempt.
EDIT: Just to make it clear - the RUU doesn't touch your sdcard so whatever was on there before is still there, or should be unless you updated while on LSD and hitting yourself in the head with a hammer.

Here is the deal, I rooted my phone and found out that I have no Arabic after downgrading my firmware to 1.34 so I got the RUU with Arabic (1.85) and updated the phone. before all that I used App2SD to move some apps to the SD card to save phone storage and after going toe Arabic RUU, the apps are not in that directory but everything else (photos, documents, maps, etc ..) is still there which means the SD was not wiped. I also used astro to backup my apps before doing the downgrade but it only backed up the ones on the phone storage and not everything.
I am a bit of Android newbie but am an expert in Linux (which is what Android is). I would love to root the phone but it is not possible to downgrade to 1.34 without losing Arabic .
Maybe I should mount the SD card on my laptop and do a find
