how to vol up in calling? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

how to volume up in calling?
WHICH file in the /SYSTEM? driver the sonud?

I think this question should be on the Android General.(next time post question similar on the general section)
basically the in call volume is already low that's all you're going to get for now, however you can go to settings>sound and remove the auidible touch tones check mark, your should get a higher tone when dialing out.
also, I've seen this questions answer several times please use the search button next time.

[Q] End Call with Button

Hi Android experts,
is there any possibility/app/hack/mod/etc to end a phone call with a "hardware" button?
I couldn´t find anything here in the forum or at the market.
Thanks in advance!

No one an idea?
On the Droid X, you can do this in the settings, but only so much as to make the power/lock button end your call.
Settings > Accessibility Settings > (last option, "Power button ends call")
Edit: Wow, this was my first post on the forums. I am such a despicable lurker.
On the samsung captivate running perception 9 also has the option to end call with the power button. It works good but I turned it off since if you on a long phone call you can end the call but now the screen was locked so I could not go back to unlock the screen to check something ( like directions or such while still on the call.

Maybe I got something for you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880844
probably only works on Nexus One.
EDIT// Oh and if you are using Cyanogenmod (I have 6.1.0, I think 6.0 had't implemented that feature!) you can go to
Settings -> Accessibility (fourth last option) -> last option (dont know it in english, my phone is in german
if you activate it, it will end the phone call - however it will not answer it!

An app similar to Invisibright Pro but for Volume?

I use the invisibright app because it gives you the option to stick it in the notifications bar so you can access it whenever you need to change the brightness. I'm looking for a similar app that does the same except this time, its the volume settings, not brightness. My volume rockers have been modded to be used as menu and back buttons, which I find really handy, so I'm left with using recent plus to access volume settings. Sometimes it takes a while to have recent plus start up, and pulling up the notification bar is faster. Is there such an app?

Have you tried this one? Sounds like what you're looking for:

in recent plus you can set it for both volume and brightness all in the same long press

That's what I'm currently using for volume. I don't like it that much though because sometimes it takes forever to show up. The 'long-press' on that app seems to be a 'press for a lifetime' for me.

Your link returns as 'The requested item could not be found.' What country are you in?

I emailed the dev about it. Received a reply 5 minutes later (talk about excellent customer service!) He acknowledged my suggestion of being able to change the volume as well, and said that he'll get it working pretty soon.

Hey guys,
I'm working on this today and ran into an interesting issue. Normally, volume rockers can are "smart" by sending a volume up/down event to the currently open app. You'll see this when you hit the rocker while playing music and it knows to adjust the media volume, not the system volume. If I implement this in the slider, I have a bad feeling that the key remap mod will kick in and it'll send a menu button action or something. Can someone (with a Nook) willing to test this out for me give me a quick PM? I only have a Droid Charge.
UPDATE:
nvm, found a much better way of doing it
Thanks.

This is great news, danny. I'm willing to test anything for you, but the thing is I've got my NC bricked just yesterday. :'( I've been up all night trying to fix it! T_T Once I get it up and running again I'll be 100% supporting this project of yours! ^_^
InvisiBright updated
3.3 now has options for volume and new slider height settings (both for tablets). Enjoy!

[Q] Independently adjust notification and ringtone volume?

I'm sure it has been asked before, but reading the "similar threads" search results, I didn't find my answer.
Is it possible with stock 4.2.1 to adjust notification volume independently from ringtone volume?
Thanks

Only ways I know are with a custom rom or an app. I use lightflow to do this.
I've got light flow and adjusted the settings. Good tip.
Question now is, does it actually work?
I'll wait till I get notified to check... I'm not very popular

Change the recent button back to the menu botton

Hi everyone,
I've currently got a note 3 and a s5 and I cannot stand the recent button where the menu button should be. I know you can long press to get to the menu but it drives me crazy!! Is there a way to swap them back? I noticed the new note 4 has the recents key too so any tips would be great so I can change that when I get it too.
Cheers
Kev

Asked and answered more than a few times in existing threads. Long press for a temporary reversion. Or edit the keylayout files for a permanent change. If you do a simple search you'll find all of the details on how to do this. Or have a look at my post history, I described how to do it (again) just a few days ago.
.
Using xda app and the search finds absolutely nothing to do with what I'm looking for. As does clicking your name, I get the option of threads started by you and again nothing to do with what I'm asking. Could you post a link directly to what you've written please?
I just did a cursory search and stopped counting at 14 threads, including two posts by me that do exactly what you asked. To wit: Change the recent button back to the menu botton [sic]
Don't see how you could miss so many threads or dogmatically state that they do not answer your question.
.
Never mind searched on Google and found it
Just searched xda app again for : change the recent button back to the menu button and found only my thread. My search must be messed up

How to put moto g2 Lollipop into silent mode

press the volume key down until you feel vibration, then below the volume bar u can see options like "ALL" "Priority" "None". Select None and indefinitely, now your phone doesn't ring or vibrate.
Ok, but you still miss alarms and notification led.
Or if you have Xposed, you can use true silent mode module. If you don't, well, I'm sorry, not much out there.
One more meaningless thread...
Thread Reported
Kindly read FAQ Guys or search the forum stop creating useless threads
Personally found this information very useful. Can't understand why this is a 'useless thread'!
Because Most tech sites have already reported this issue and i think even xda has made mention about and this being a common issue for lollipop has been addressed many times in many threads and people should search for answers before asking a question so only i think it is useless
