is it possible to somehow add rosie on top of cyanogenmod? all i really want is the lockscreen, and (especially) the dialer. i was told the apps wont work without the sense framework but i was wondering if it was possible to add/merge that with cyanogenmod.. or get atleast the dialer without all the hassle?
ive tried third-party smart dialers but nothing compares to HTC's version

no its not possible..
but workarounds.........
1.for launcher.. use he launcher. and select sense like homescreen from bunch.
2.use widget locker, you can get sense 2.1 like lockscreen
3. there is a dailer in the market like in sense , i forgot the name..
search for dialers ....
4. overall, use nt sense theme with cm theme engine..
and thus u'll get most sense features.
im already using ntsense
i guess dialerone is the closest i can get..until android comes out with a smart dialer of its own?
ill check out widget locker
Plaese post your best dialer and phone with link and photo in the way that is possible to avaulate and decide what we would be installed in our phone.
Thanks everybody

best dialer I've used. The Sammy's one is just crap.
I get a constant complaint from friends new to Android and the SGS II: "I tap the phone icon, but I don't get the dialpad - where is it??"
I guess it's not so intuitive to just scroll the pane at upper part of the screen...
The ICS (CM9 one) is better, but Dialer One is still the one I choose.
Dialer One does not work for me. Although I like the interface better, it takes to long to start. Maybe it is because I have to many contacts in my phone.
I have a stock rom installed (2.3.6)
Anyone else experienced this problem ? I am now back to the stock dialer.
Go Dialer Ex
It has some options that I missed from the Stock dialer such as vibrate on when someone picks up the phone on the other side and Speed dial.
exDialer works very well for me. I used custom one and go contacts too but this is way better.

+1 .
Sent from the valley of the shadows....
TouchPal dialer is the one after trying many dialers, take a look, you will not regret it.

I have them and I only have the stock dialer.
Settings->Call->Call Alert->Outgoing call vibration
I don't know if those settings only affect the stock dialer or if they are system settings and affect all dialers - I think the latter.
Speed dial:
Dialer->Menu button->Speed dial setting
exDialer takes too long to load call logs and contacts. Went back to stock dialer, fast and functional.
touchwiz rom and slide to call or send messsage is the best
Stock dialler with ICS theme. Maintains functionality of stock but adds the sexiness of ICS
Prefer stock due to left/right swype on contact and SNS integration only for FB to sync contact pics. And has T9 compared to stock CM7 dialler.
Stock dialer for sure (on ICS ). go+ keyboard is a must.
exDialer
I've tried all others, but exDialers is the best one. Fast, stable and highly customizable without any unnecessary garbage ...

Hi
I am using Tytungs ICS rom at the moment and I really like it.
Everything runs great but i dont like the CM9 style messaging. Can someone tell me how to get the Galaxy S/S2 type threaded view colorful messaging on my phone.
And yes I have tried chomp but that doesn't work quite right for me
GO SMS Pro has loads of customisation and themes on the market. I couldn't find any Touchwiz themes but there are tonnes of others, and it's very functional. You can also make your own themes, e.g. a black background with yellow/blue bubbles (I think this is the Touchwiz colour scheme, right?) and it also has much more functionality than the stock app. Apparently Handcent SMS is also good, but I haven't tried that one yet.
Hi all,
I really want to use the Google Edition ROM on my i9505 - but a couple of things keep me on the bloaty Touchwiz ROM.
1) Touchwiz Camera
2) Touchwiz Video Player
There are other things, but if these 2 were working on Google Edition I would be there in a flash.
Does anyone know if these are working?
The other alternative is to get Google Now 'OK Google' working with my Nova Launcher .... but looks quite far off.
I recently updated to the S5 video player and that works perfectly on the S4.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks.
I was in the same boat, would like a rom like cyanogenmod but I was to use features like gestures, air view etc and the camera app is way better than the stock app.
Anyway I installed Omega rom which is the same as the s4 stock rom with touchwiz but lets you deselect all the bloatware before installing, so I've got all the samsung features but without the crap. Also downloaded the google launcher which is nice
Thanks a lot. I've used the Omega ROM a while ago, but didn't think about it for this.
Does the Google Launchers allow you to change the grid layout on the home screen? I want 5 columns and 6 rows if possible.

You could use Nova, looks like the Google launcher but way more customisable (you can change the columns/rows), dont think there google now integration on the home screen though.
Another couple of options are to try the AOSP themed touchwiz roms. You can keep all the touch wiz features and have the vanilla android look. Or you can also dual boot a touchwiz rom and CM11 to get the best of both worlds.
Thanks.
I'm already using Nova ... even paid for the extras. What I really want is Touchwiz with the 'always on' OK Google command.
Is there any way to restore the default dialer like on CM 10.1/10.2? I'm not necessarily a big fan of the new Google Dialer. Thanks!
