How did you sync your music ... ? in your music folder or on your sdcard , should have an albumthumbs folder... just delete it , and ( to make things simple ) restart your phone , (you can also go to settings>apps>music player>clear data) , then you should be good to go ...

Need help with music...

Ok so I've spent over 4 hours trying to find a way to move my music from iTunes to my HTC HD2 with album covers and all...no luck... why in the hell is it so difficult just to put music on your phone...All my songs are mp3's and they still won't go on properly...I tried just dragging them to the music folder through My Computer. I tried using double twists software I downloaded from the phone and I tried the one from the official website.
This is ridiculous considering that my old ass samsung flip phone can sync all my music in just 35 minutes with everything i expect. So much for the Entertainment phone...I would really appreciate if someone can help me out with this before I go on this road trip...
I also tried the music from My Music instead f iTunes and same problem...I have all the songs on the phone but they won't play. Does anyone also know why when your in the Windows Media Player all of your GAME sounds and videos and just random sounds appear if its suppose to be a music player... i am disappointed in this damn phone everything is great except the music players...
Personally, I keep all my music very organised on an external hard drive at home. On there, they are all stored in the folder structure X:\Music\Artist\Album\nn Song Title.mp3. I also have album art for each of them as folder.jpg in the album folder. I'm a bit of a pedant, but keeping it tidy has proved to be a godsend no end of times!
When I want to copy something to my phone, I usually make a temp folder on my desktop so that I can keep the folder structure intact inside that, and copy the albums I want, into their respective artist folders - Desktop\Temp Music Folder\Artist\Album.
Once I've copied everything there, I connect my phone to my PC with the USB cable, and I select "Disk Drive" as the connection type.
Then I simply open my phone's storage card in windows explorer, open the music folder on there (that's obviously already there as I've got loads of music on there already), and I copy the contents of the temp folder on my desktop into that folder.
It's really simple, and it works 100% of the time.
I've seen no end of threads where people are using different software for synching & tagging mp3s, or trying to put mp3s in weird folder structures (or even all of them in 1 folder!!!) and I just don't see why you'd bother.
This method has worked flawlessly for me on a Nokia N95, Touch Diamond, Touch HD and HD2.
Hope this helps mate
PS. I'll ask a mod to delete the other thread for you.
Hey chek out this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=647136 May be it can help u
i tried the folder thing and nothing it sill wont play my songs wtffffffffff

Two questions on Music Player and HTC Album

I've been proud HD2 owner for about some time now and worked around it long enough to start asking questions ...
Anyway, I will start with only two involving Music Player and HTC Album (on home tabs).
1. Music Player: when scrolled via HomeTabs slider when on Music, player has read all of the audio files and I would like to get it to read only certain folders - how to do this? I know there may be only the way to exclude folders from being recognized as storing audio which is fine by me - just need to know how to set that up - so if anyone can assist in this I would appreciate much!!!
2. HTC Album - this one is not as urgent as it may be ROM bug: I keep taking pictures with my phone of course and HTC Album when accessed via Home Tabs Slider it shows 1/99, 5/99, etc - whichever pic I have on - it won't show more than 99 and I know Ihave over 180 pictures. How can I fix this so the Album reads correct number of pictures I have?
Thanks all for all the help!
bump.. any1?
not sure about the album bit mate, but as far as music goes i have a few games that have music and got into my player, so i used total commander to make the files i didnt want to appear hidden, hope this helps,
The Album Tab just cant show more than 99 Pics. In order to see more you need to go into album view. Theres no workaround for this, its simply a memory-saving-feature not to show all 1000 Pictures directly in the Tab.
sounds good...
Album is good to go - 99 pics don't bother me... Now music player - I still wonder how to do it - I do have Total Commander.

Music app

Hi all!
I have a question for everyone willing to share their knowledge about this.
Here's the deal. I have about 60 songs directly in Music folder and about a 100 more in folders named after albums. The problem is that about 30 of those 60 songs in Music folder show the same album art which is the album art of one of them. I would like these songs to show their or no album art if you know what I mean.
P.S. That 60 songs are various artist so I don't want to create a folder for each of these.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone?
Anything?
It may be a longshot but if you install the Cubed (just search for 3 in the market) music player and use that you can choose to always use the ID3 art embedded in the MP3 files themselves.
If it still shows up as the same with this option enabled then it might mean your files have actually all got the same artwork attached to them and you'll need to manually change them on your PC.

Giving up freakin tired of this !!!

I tried everything to have the good covers for my musics on my phone the problem is my songs where downloaded from many different sources thus having like many folders like /musicbox / unknown and stuff like that i cleared them more then 100 times and personally picked the covert arts but they all get mixed up never shows up the good ones im a about to commit suicide ! I use torrent and never faced problems
Well, from my understanding you are looking to have the correct album art for each song/album on your phone correct? This problem plagued me for a while, I couldn't find an easy way to automatically embed the album art into the id3 tags for songs on the computer... so I starting looking at apps for android. easiest way BY FAR is to buy the donate version of Cover Art Downloader. It will embed the album art into the mp3 file so you can copy em all to your pc and the album art will stick with it.
The free version of the app doesn't embed the art into the mp3's id3 tags but it will still work to show you the art on your phone if that's all you are wanting.
I also did album art grabber its because when i download them the description is not well filled out even if i change them whit mp3 tag it still mixed up

you don't have to format your sd card; probably wouldn't hurt.
You should take all your music off of your sd and consolidate into one music folder on your computer; Music-->Artist-->Albums and/or Songs-->Songs.
Throw it into either itunes for that what ever fixer finder thing it has, or better yet throw it into winamp as local media and go through song by song (you can select multiples) ctrl+e to open up up the file(s) to edit the metadata so you can format each/all the songs to uniform artist/albums/titles.
also for artwork you can select songs and press alt+3 and click on the Artwork tab and then download artwork there's also an auto-tag feature on the default tab (doesn't always work)
So i should grab winamp on my pc ? Ill try that and my musics are all into sdcard/music there isnt any other folders in it should i add ? Album>artist >songs?

[Q] [HELP] My Picture is displayed as a track cover in my player [HELP]

sorry for my bad english
but whenever i play music on my galaxy y ... the songs/tracks cover is showing my personal pictures !!! some of them are fine .. but some songs is displaying my presonal pictures as coverart .. !!!
(Hope you understand my problem) (sorry for bad english)
Tnx !!!
honestly it makes me embarrassed xD
Place each album in its own folder with the picture you want
Make sure the id3 tags are correct - these tags set the song name artist album name and cover art for the track
with correct tags you can display music by artists or by album with all the correct cover artwork
There several apps or free pc programmes to edit id3 tags
Bro, use iTag from playstore to edit your id3 tags.
You can change your music tags with mp3tags editor on your PC. Is a freeware software and it doesn't need installation.

You can personalized that thing just go to
My Files and then create an album My Music next move all your music to the album recently created that was My Music. That's it. Then Reboot your phone to remove the photo as album cover.
TIP: You must separate your Photos from Musics to prevent the photos used as cover.
What I did was I installed an app called "Apolo" music and you could also get it to download a cover photo
