Hello all,
2 hours of fruitless searching has prompted me to post here.
Does anyone know of a program that will rotate/cycle/change your Today screen background/wallpaper at a time interval? (10mins, etc)
(I suppose I'd pay $10 or so for it?)

I use StocksAndWeather for that. Not only does it cycle through your today screen themes, but it's a weather (and stocks) manager too. Gives you weather updates and warnings, but the kicker is that it comes with weather themes and changes the theme based on the weather. So if it's raining outside then the theme will be rain related. If it's snowing then the theme will show snow. It's a pretty neat program. You can also install your own themes to rotate in. Here is the link

The weather icons are also animated so it makes your today screen look good, and you can instantly tell what the weather is like outside based on the theme. It's one of my favorites.

Unfortunately seems you could be right. These tools are readily available for PC but it seems not for PPC.
Anyway lets not give up the search and if either of us finds something we should let the other know.

Hi PhonePhun,
I believe that program only rotates themes, not wallpapers/backgrounds.
Which would mean you would have to create a seperate theme for every wallpaper you wanted to use.
Besides being inefficient, it wouldn't actually be all bad, but considering you can't create themes with wallpapers that work in both portrait AND landscape configuration, setting a wallpaper is still the best way to go.

Diamond theme

first of all: great work!!
i've got an HTC Touch Cruise with the SPB MS2.1 and your diamond theme layout F with the colored menu buttons.
Now screen:
- the cellphone provider's name doen't come centered in the middle of the top line and writes over network cover symbole and battery indicator.patch please.
-with layout F, profile icon moves from top bar to bottom right just above screen icons but internet connetion icon in top bar is not available (very usefull)
-new profile icon is difficult to hit.touch area too small.
-is it possible to have the upcoming appointments from the agenda on the now screen? it would be cool to have all the general information in just one click and one view.
Other screen:
-the forum explaination how to add the 9' menu button is hard to understand for me as i am not an expert at all.please make a patch or plugin to download.
-very important:customizing the menus,it does not allow to add the adjustment blacklight icon to the menu (does not come on the list?)?? In the SPB MS2.1,this came on the second page top left, very practical!

Hey man, sorry but I dont know much about spb. But I am downloading what your using as we speak, and going to see wat I can do. I'm pretty sure someone else will beat me to the answer though, but if not, Ill try. And thanks for using this thread. It makes searching alot easier. I wish everyone was as enthusiastic about stopping unnessicary threads. Most complain about it, but wont help when somehting like this is created. theres a cab file somewheres aswell as the registry key for the 9th tab in that 2.1 theme thread.if you open the thread then search that thread for 9th tab cab it may show up.if you don't find it i'll look when i return from the hulk.

Changing wallpaper problem
Hello,
I've got an Artemis (P3300) and whenever i try and change the wallpaper nothing happens.
I view the picture and click "Set as today wallpaper" and choose 0%, then click ok. After this nothing happens - the wait symbol is supposed to come up while the wallpaper is changing but this doesn't happen. Then, when i check the today screen its the same as before.
I've also tried changing the wallpaper from the today settings menu, and this works but the opacity is 65%. Is there any way to change the opacity setting (to 0%) using this method?
BTW, this problem occurs with all roms i flash.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Today I saw an Sony Ericsson W890 and it has animated wallpapers(.gif), which is pretty cool.
Is it possible to use animated wallpapers on the today screen? If not, is a good idea for a new software, something like a "Wallpaper Manager", isn't it?
In that app, many things can be ajusted, like random wallpapers(per day, per week...), or even something like the PlayStation 3(The color background gets dark slowly when the night comes). And of course, the option to use animated wallpaper.
It's just an idea that pop's up in my head...

Yes, but I only found .gif wallpapers for Slide 2 Unlock.
I think what CHAMP was trying to say by asking his question was a actually a polit sarcastic statement of, you haven't searched enough.
Just using the search bar at the top right of this screen just under your user name this is the hit I found. i search using the keywords "animated today wallpaper".

Guys, I don't find ANYTHING useful in the topics of the search(and i did a deep search, now!)
Everything that I've found is a Animated Today(it's not a wallpaper, it's a Today Plugin), and I've found the TodayGif, it's a Today Plugin too.
Nothing of this works like a animated wallpaper.
And I saw many topics like mine, without a true answer...

I am looking for a developer to write a small utility that will remove the black lines on a Today screen that surround/delineate each Today item. The attached picture should help people to understand what I mean (see where the RED arrows are pointing).
The end result should be that any item seen on the Today screen will not have these black lines, leading to a clean, seamless look.
I was certain there was a registry hack for this; however after 2 months of fruitless searching on here and requests in other threads I have not found what I am looking for.
So what's different this time? Well, I will now pay someone to create a utility programme to achieve what I am looking for.

But it is not the tool asked, it is only to change the theme and the entire color of your phone
You could use Ultimate Launch. It doesn't display the lines between plugins.
It offers a few other perks too

Many thanks for the various responses. I have used UI Tweaker several times to try to achieve what I want and while you can change the colour of the lines you can't entirely get rid of them.
As for Ultimate Launch, have also used that as an alternative UI but I don't like it I'm afraid.
The request is therefore still open for a developer to take me up on it unless someone comes up with an existing solution that does the job as I set out.

Yeah. I originally asked here about this on XDA-Dev's about 3 or 4 years ago. The only response that I really received was that the lines are coded in to the shell32.exe or possible gwei.exe [sic]. I know that Wisbar Advance Desktop and a few other programs will remove the lines. However, those programs have a lot of other functions that some people may not want.

I can't believe you made your request so long ago and are still waiting for a solution.
I agree with you that all that is required is a small utility to achieve this. Just looking for a talented developer on here to take this on. I am absolutely serious about paying someone to do this so its worth their while.
There are a fair few people who want this so its over to you guys, unless Nir36 finds the tool he says he knows of.

apparntly i got theme to be "transparent" because my background was black
You can achieve this, if you don't change theme too often and if your theme (TSK) file isn't with draws, with a tool like UI Tweaker from Victor Wong (http://mobile-sg.com), with the excellent ThemeGenCE (PC tools to modify the TSK file or with SKTools (in color tweaks)
Put the 'Today Screen horizontal Bar' at a very close color of your theme... The bars will be 'erased' (you won't see them...)

Here goes, I have an HTC touch pro 2 and my boyfriend has different bookmarks/icons on his touchflo 3d (the line at the bottom with home, contacts, photos/videos, texts, emails etc) and I'd also like to have those on my phone. I tried using the search but nothing came up. I wondered if any of you knows where I can find those different icons/bookmarks?
And a silly other question, if found, could somebody also please explain how to install it?

Just to clear it up, I meant things like that, not neccesarily the one you posted, I also know someone who for example has a Hello Kitty-theme, and Ive seen Fire-themes, but Im just looking for other themes aswell, so I can choose which one I like most.
