Hello,
I could not find anyone sharing the same issue. From time to time, I lose my email account settings. When I tap "Inbox," it looks as if there are no accounts set up. But, when I tap "Menu>Account Settings," from the main email Home Tab, the accounts are there but I cannot send or receive email. This happened most recently after running Android for half a day and then reboting back into WinMo. If I delete the old accounts and reset them up all is fine but its a hassle. I have 3 accounts I use. This also seems to happen other times even before using Android. I think BSBtweaks is behind this mess but cant remove it as it is cooked into my ROM.
Thanks for any comments in advance.
You need to do the following when this happens. It happens to me 2-3 times every day.
1.tap start
2. tap settings
3. tap menu on the bottom right
4. tap all settings
5. tap connections
6. tap connections again
7. tap manage existing connections
8. tap edit
9. tap next on the bottom right (do not change settings)
10 tap next again on the bottom right (do not change settings)
11. tap finish bottom right (do not change any settings)
12 tap the yes button
13 keep tapping the x on the top right and keep exiting to the desktop on the phone
This will reset your 3 g settings and it will work now. This entire process takes less than 5-8 seconds and it has been working for me when my connection drops. This was given to me from a T Mobile HTC specialist.

Click to collapse
when I get to step 7 I must choose a connection.

hello
i have a 8125 and was hoping one of you unbelievably smart techies out there could whip something up for me or explain if it cannot be done. i was hoping to add a "Select all" option in the "Menu" just below "Delete" in my e-mail interface. basically if i have say 10 -20 e-mails i want to select rather than using the stylus and selecting all of them manually i would like to press "Menu" "Select all" then "Delete" can this be done??
any help would be greatly appreciated. also on another off topic note, when i use the "Meaasging" button at the top of the phone (the actual external hard mapped button) my phone switches to the mail accounts (i can see the name in the top menu) however there is no display the today screen is still visible where the e-mails should be. i have to close the mail and reopen it with the messaging shortcut from the start menu then all displays fine. i had a similar problem with the Pictures viewer and accidentaly came across a thread to rename 2 dll files, i did and that is now working. does anybody know how to fix this display issue with the messaging button
thanks again
Hey guys,
I've come from the Diamond1 and I've noticed with the Diamond2 that when you send a text message and you want to send the same text to another person, you can't copy and paste from the sent window.
For example, you can't highlight previous messages sent to you and ones that you've sent and copy them. I find this very annoying, anyway to fix it?
Thanks
I can do it fine if I go into MENU and do SELECT TEXT.
If you don't get the copy/paste options in the menu, you can always set the keyboard to the default wm one, and push CTRl-c, CTRL-v.
It CAN be done...
Under Sent Items, open mail. Text is greyed.
Select Menu\Select Text
Select the text you want
Press & hold on the selected text. Menu pops up "Delete..Forward...Mark as Unread..COPY..Select All" select copy.
Exit message by the back hard button
start new message by menu\new\sms
tap once in message area (not "To:")
Press & hold next to cursor and wait a second - the dotted circle will come out and give you the option to paste.
I have a Diamond 2 Win 6.5 Hellenic.
None of the above can be done with this operating system. Copy-Paste is totally missing.
juz press n hold in the sms
the menu will show "Make Selection" as the first option
select that n select the text u want, press n hold again n you'll get the copy option
I came across this problem yesterday, If I tried to paste more than 640 characters (length of more than 4 sms) it would not paste.
It seems to paste fine if the lengh of the sms is less than this.
Why do my emails disappear after a few days, even when i move them to another folder other than inbox?
sorry for a dumb question, but this is the first time i have used email on a phone other than my works BBerry. I only get 3-4 a day, and only want to keep 1-2 a week.
thanks
Mark
Hi,
I think that the default value is 3 days. I try to describe how to change it, but please note that my phone is in italian and I'm translating menu names, so you could find some different text:
-From the MAIL page, press the "Menu" button
-Select "Account >" and then "Account ..."
-Press "Menu" and then "Options"
-Click on the "gmail" item in the list
-Click on "modify account settings"
-Confirm all settings by pressing "Next" several times, until you get into the page for the send/receive modality and (finally) the number of days.

In MMS options->There is a tab called Blacklist, in this tab nothing is displayed and how to use it?
Can i block some mobile numbers so that i wil not receive any messages from them? Is it any thing like that ?
i would like to know this as well..i've spent a lot of time going through menus and setting trying to figure out how to use the blacklist..
any help?
Has anyone figured this out?
I just messed with it for 10 minutes.
I'm a computer technician, and I've used EVERYTHING but WinMo.
Totally lost, trying to set this up for my coworker.
solution
taken from the htc mega manual:
1. Open and view the message.
2. To avoid receiving MMS messages from this sender next time, hit Menu >
Show > Message Detail.
3. On the Message Detail screen, hit Menu > Show > Contact Details.
4. Tap Menu > Save to Blacklist.
5. Tap Done.
btw its for mms only
For some reason in android messages I need to tap back button twice when being in the chat to be able to go back.
1) After launching android messages, there is a list of conversations.
2) I then pick a name and tap to see the conversation, then without typing or scrolling, I tap back button on the phone, although there is a vibration, but screen doesn't go back, I need to press back button again to go back to conversations list.
3) But if I pick a name(as in step 2) and tap to see the conversation, then will interact with the window, meaning by scrolling up the list, then I am able to go back.
In other words if I do not interact with the conversation, then I need to tap back twice, but If I do interact then pressing back one time is enough.
Yesterday the issue went away, but came back today.
