I am able to sync my exchange email, but for some reason the calendar appointments and reminders are not comming through. Is this a common issue or there a fix? My entire office is pissed because they all went and got this phone because of my recommendation
Go here and get a free license of Motorola TouchDown Exchange best exchange option out there...

Hi guys
I'm wondering whether it is somehow possible to override the limitation of Activesync in WM and sync mails with more than 1 server?
I use mail-push for corporate mails, but would like of course to sync also my private mail2web - account.
what's the latest on this? sorry to revive such an old topic.
As far as I know, you'd have to use an alternative client to sync with multiple servers/
What if I want my handheld to sync to one exchange server just for email and another for contacts, calendar, and tasks?
At this time ActiveSync only supports 1 server.
mail from one exchange server, calendar/contacts from another...

Thought I would share it as i've been trying to figure out how sync my corporate email & calendar via one activesync server (company) and google contacts via another (the google server). So now I have both personal email (gmail IMAP) and work email (Exchange) and my personal contacts imported into the native contacts list.
Hope someone else finds this useful.
BTW, I also set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\EnableNonLocalCrossPollination to "1" instead of "0".
And now???
No news about multiple accounts setup?
As gmail is now provideing push access this becomes more than frustrating to be limited to one push server!!!!!!
You're too lazy MS!
Activesync does support multiple servers if you are not syncing the same items with both.
For example:
I sync my calendar and contacts with google sync and sync just my email with the company I work for.
You just have to go into the pocket outlook and create a new account as if you were creating a pop3 or imap account and then select Exchange Server. You however can NOT sync contacts or email or anything with both.

Thx for your answer. That's what I am using.
Bu I want to use the push mode fo both accounts and Activesync does nto support it... Which is a pity!
For those who use Gmail and had problem with IMAP before, this is now fixed! I'd just tested it on my Vogue, and the problem of not seeing HTML body of HTML emails is no longer happening.
IMAP access is much better than POP. Google 'IMAP vs POP' for more detail...
Yup, it’s true… I can confirm that this bug is fixed. I am using IMAP with my “Google Apps” account and it’s finally working just fine.
Now if only Google would implement their own home-grown fully compatible version of Microsoft’s “DirectPush” technology we could all synchronize our email, contacts, and calendar we wouldn’t need Exchange Server anymore
RE
you can always use MAIL2WEB.
my gmail email gets fowarded there and then the syncs wirelessly with my touch. also sync tasks, contacts, calendar and all.
works pretty good
The main problem with MAIL2WEB is that it uses Exchange 2003. That means you don't get HTML messages. IMAP can.
Just picked up my Tmobile MyTouch Slide 3G and I have my Exchange server activesync setup on my phone however the calendar will only sync one-way. If I create a calendar event on my phone it will show up on the Exchange server. But my phone will not grab my calendar entries that I create on the Exchange server.
Anyone else using this phone to sync with their Exchange server?
What version of Microsoft Exchange are you using to connect to?
I've been trying to setup active sync on mine and it always returns with a message that says "Unable to create account. Please try again later." Thats after choosing what I want to sync and all settings are setup in the server to allow Exchange Active sync and also the correct setting are on the phone.
We are running Exchange 2010. Everything connects up fine with it except for the Calendar sync from the Server to the Phone.
You have to buy a third party app in order to sync the calendar, like Touchdown.

Well I am also using Exchange 2010 but I can't get the Exchange sync to work it always saids "Failed to create the account. Please try again later."
Also I have to use SSL, does your exchange require SSL?
Hmmm, that's odd. I'm using Exchange 2007, and the calendar syncs both ways.
HTC's customizations allow full sync functionality, so I'd be careful to go buy Touchdown or whatever, as if it doesn't work with the built-in sync, it probably won't with Touchdown.
My initial thought would be that it could have something to do with using Exchange 2010, or a setting on the server.
still having issues with the calendar. Anyone else?
Ok in my case I found out is a problem with a setting on the exchange server. That option is with the pin number being required for iphone users which is to add a layer of security on the phone. I'll have to wait for 2.2 froyo which adds more support for exchange.
Created a corporate exchange account to sync with my work account. While the contacts and email sync over successfully, no calendar entries were synced over. Anyone knows why?
hmm... intersting, i've yet to try to sync it to an Exchange server.
but my stuff on Google Calendar syncs perfectly fine.
because Gmails server = my Exchange server
too lazy to install MS Exchange just to test this out.
but as far as i recall... Exchange doesn't really have a calendar service, the calendar invites and alerts are from Outlook
if you use Exhange without Outlook, it's just a plain mail server, no calendar no memopad
But that works on my wife's iphone 3gs. Her phone is able to sync the calendar entries directly from exchange
have you tried the TouchDown App?
that should do the trick
supposedly Froyo will come with better Exhange support out of the box
I am running the GPE 5.0.1 ROM by @Danvdh and I'm having a problem syncing to my new work email account. I haven't had exchange on this phone before so I don't know if its a problem, or just not possible. In my searches it looks like I might need a few different apps, but that's why I here asking.
I have installed "Bluemail" and added my MS Exchange account info. Email syncs fine, but I'm trying to get my contacts (google) to sync with my work email, along with my calendar. The rom doesn't have a calendar installed by default so I installed "Business Calendar", but I'm not married to it at all, and am more than willing to switch to get it to sync. I also tried "Nine" email app but it doesn't seem to be syncing contacts TO Exchange, (maybe just from it?) And I don't know where its trying to sync the calendar to, but it doesn't appear to be working either. I hope this is all possible because on my old work phone (iPhone) everything would sync up easily and I really don't want to go to an iPhone.
