Hi everybody,
since yesterday I'm also an enthusiastic HD2 Android User .
But one thing i've recognized is that the Handsfreespeaker is too quiet even if i turn the voice to the maximum.
With WinMo it was very good loud and clear. But i want to use Android. And the Handsfree speaker is very important for me.
Has someone an idea to fix this?
Thx and best regards

Your question has been answer many times since the android development started.
Its not just you this is a known issue however updating to the latest zImage should fix that.
please use the search button next time.
oh and do me a favor, if you don't know where to find the latest zImage the search button is at the top right corner, please don't start a new thread.
Hope it helps!

Quick question, I have downloaded the froyo android for the hd2 and it runs really well. My sound and everything else runs fine. The problem i'm having is making phone calls. When i make a phone call, the person on the other end sounds really cluttered and scratchy and i can't make out anything they are saying. I'm posting this in hopes that someone can provide me with a solution to this problem. If there is something i need to do internally or something i need to download i'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
Robot voice calling. Upgrade the radio to 2.12 and switch to a new ROM.

thanks dude, i appreciate it. 1 last question, what rom do i need to run to make the change and how do i put it on the phone.
I have the mattc Leo sense build. I ran clrcd or w/e its called lol! I have audo on my speak and such. But when I make phone calls people can hear me, BUT I can only hear a outline of their voice. It's barely understandable. I have this problem my first attempt of android on the hd2, but I really wanna use this. Everything is great for this, but if I have to, I close the rom to make a call! but any fix would be greatly appreciated, I did some searching but found nothing. Thanx in advance

Have you tried flashing a different radio? Most of the time, your radio is the cause

No sounds either
sent PM as answer, as this was posted in the wrong forum.
Depends which build your using, the newest update works with Mdeejay_FroYo_Sense_v._2.4_NextSense build from my experience
download Louder volume Hack on the market. That should do the trick. Worked for me. Also I would just pull the battery out and the issue will me removed.

Hi there Experts ,
I hope this finds you all in the best of our health.
Im a newbie and this is my first post on this forum.
I have a little issue in both my android HTC HD2s.
All the people that I talk to complain of a lot of Echo( they hear their own voices echo) when talking to me on HTC HD2/Cyanogen 7 Gingerbread 2.3 on SD and it only happens in Android. Seems like there is a lot of Microphone Gain. I can hear even tiniest sounds reverberate and bounce back ad forth.
I've tested it and call quality is OK in Windows Mobile( remember im running my Android on an SD Card on top of Windows.....its not a NAND Install) .
Have you ever come across a situation like this?
Is there a config or a setting that Im over looking?
I know Cyanogen 7 Mod/GingerBread 2.3 is awesome.
So must be something Im doing wrong.
Help folks!!!!!!!!!
thanks,

so i renamed default.acdb file in /system/etc/firmware to XXXdefault.adcb and restarted my machine.
Its half past 2 in the morning right now , so i could only test with my other phone and works great.
Ill post more results tomorrow morning when i call my buddies to test it.
I hope this is it !

Hi I cannot rename this file but I dont have permissions.
Hi all!
First of all i'm sorry for my english!
I think that a lot of people will agree with me that HD2 (with android) have many sound issues.
I may be patient with most sound problems, but not with microphone issue couse no one can understand me when talking with me.
My friends told me that they don't hear me clear, but i wasn't paying attention till i gave my phone to my friend for a week. When i called him i understood what are they talking about.
I heard him like FM radio with poor receptivity.
It feels like microphone is boosted to 100% and most of words aren't plain.
I tried to search the web and xda forum and didn't find any solution.
Someone in forum found issue with audio libraries in /system/lib (libaudio.so ; libcutils.so ....).
I tried to replace them with his files, but my rom was stuck on boot.
Does someone have similar issues? Knows how to repair? Something?
Unfortunately I have experienced robot voice both on Pongster's CM7 v1.0 & GBX v8.0 roms.
So, I tried gpc hd2 gb v2.0e rom which was released on March 9, 2011.
Absolutely NO robot voice & high mic gain from the 1st boot on two hd2s(tmous Leo 1024, Radio 2.15.50.14) in my home.
I didn't neet to turn off audible touch tones in sound settings.
Hopefully it will work for you too, mate!
