AllShare - Galaxy S I9000 General

hey everyone,
has anyone got AllShare working correctly with WMP/XBMC? Been trying all day and my SGS can't see any files at all.
Cheers

Mine works fine with windows media player.
What are you doing?

I can only really get it working with WMP and my Samsung TV.

Mine works fine with XBMC running on a Acer 3600 using the minimal Linux install.

Pyv Player

I just bought a movie from the samsung media hub and transfered it to my computer. I know I am able to watch it on my tab, but I was wondering if anyone here has heard of a program that can play a pyv file so I can watch it on my computer and possibly also on my tv.
Thanks

I tried vlc player and even that doesn't work. Apparently the built in video app on the tab works though...

Click to collapse
I spent some of the $25 google gave me on some play store stuff including, plex, bubbleUpnp, and already had imediashare. For rendering i've got n7, galaxy nexus and an un55d7050 tv. Media players include vlc, mx player, and weeded out a couple that I didn't have much luck with.
What works best for me, the easiest, and least amount of dicking around is a combination of MX Player and BubbleUpnp. I'm streaming from an NAS on my home lan and everythig else is visible on the lan.
To make this work you'll have to screw around with handbreak (or at least I had to) to figure out what codec works best depending on what your streaming and to which renderer.
Good Luck!
Edit/ Twonky Media Server works really good as well, installed to my NAS......Yup, everything these days is pretty much dlna capable.

[Q] xbmc remote control nexus 7

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if someone has a home media pc and they use the nexus 7 as the remote control, for that computer, if so how do you find the usability and how well does it work?
I use it with XMBC on my Raspberry Pi, works good.
Via my HTC Rezound
And how do you find the controls?

I use mine all the time as a remote for my HTPC and my PC which has all my media on it. I use the official XBMC app and it works well, you just have to remember what buttons do what since they are multifunctional depending on which screen you are on.
I have an actual windows media center infrared remote that I reprogrammed which I prefer but the app works great too and its a neat thing to show off. Give it a try.
Well it works the same as on any android device i guess, its nice with a little bigger screen. I used to use it on my S3 but now only on my nexus 7.

Dnla client

I'm trying to play videos from my humax freeview recorder on my note 10.1 but everything I've tried so far has choppy playback.
I can get good playback on my HTC Desire S using Skifta and VLC, VLC also works fine on the PC. So it's not a problem with the Humax. Even the IPad plays the videos ok.
Anyone got a suggestion on what will play via dlna smoothly on the note?

Turns out the problem is the JB update,
Downgraded to ICS and it works perfectly.
I was running the German JB update, might try to update with the uk OTA as it's offering that now and see how I go.
Upgraded to JB via Kies and everthings ok still

Stream videos to Xbox 360

Hi on my galaxy s3 video player there is an option to stream any videos playing on the phone to my Xbox. I assume it does this using DNLA. Does any one know if there are any apps that will do the same on my nexus?
Thanks
Steve
Bubbleupnp works great
Thanks. I'll give it a try
I've installed bubbleupnp but for some reason I can't get it to find my Xbox.
Thanks
Steve
