Any chance we'll ever see this ported? I'd love to see it. Or at least an appropriately modified Handcent or something...
I would also love to see this, someone please hook us up?

+1 to this post
FYI guys, pandroid did a handcent mod that with the right colors, you can pretty much get the DX/D2 look:

I haven't seen anyone else post this if its redundant my apologies and I will delete the thread. One of the coolest features about the Droid X I have not seen on any other Android phone is the bubble that comes up and lets you navigate through text. I spoke to several other Droid owners and they didn't even know about. Here is a pic http://bit.ly/ctnvLS thoughts??? I want to get the Droid X forum more active and even though we arent flashing roms yet we can sure root and customize our devices. Would love to hear feedback good or bad.

This is the single greatest thing ever
Not sure if that is an inherent part of Motoblur or the new multi-touch keyboard, but it's a godsend!
It's a shameless ripoff of the iPhone text navigation system, but it's so brilliant I can forgive them.
Yeah the DX is the only android phone that can do this, along with the red bubble marker.

is is like the crappy retina display of the iCrap but 100 times better.

This is pretty cool. But, i just came from a droid incredible and it does this with a bit more flair. Once you get the bubble you can do things like copy and paste. Or, select the text you're navigating.

It works with the Swype keyboard as well
this is my first android, but i figured all androids did this. my storm 1 had a similar feature
how do you get it to pop up?
If I hold my finger over the text it brings up a pop up menu with edit characteristics

Nice!!

Iphone has done that since 2007. Wondering why only one Android phone can do it. My Captivate cant and I severly miss that feature from my old iphone 2G. Makes navigating text sooooo easy.
Has the droid x messasing app been ported? i REALLY like it, android stock messasing app is weak, heres a pic:

Um currently I'm using an app called handcent sms, where you can config your screen to look similar to that screen shot you posted. Might help if you wait for a port....

Oh dear, that looks iPhoneolicious haha.
Handcent is a good alternative as posted above though.

yes it does look like the iphone messaging app, but the stock android app is too simple for me , this is better in my opinion, the htc one is pretty nice too

Anyone try this on their non root droid yet? I will in a bit
Doesn't work, since he probably didn't do any type of editing to MAKE it work with the Droid 1..just tried it. I get nothing but force closes. Every 2 seconds. In fact, it force closes so much, I can't USE any other aspect of my phone, as it stays right in my face. So now I have to restore from a backup.
Good job.
damn, sounds like my htc ime keyboard when i got froyo, i was finnaly able to get into settings and kill it tho
I told you that's a stock mms app

I love all the gingerbread color options in the Liberty toolbox. I believe they were all done by Draya, correct me if I'm wrong. I would love to update my fiancées phone to 1.5 but I know shes going to want pink. Is there any way that a pink version could be made and added to the toolbox?
Anyone willing to do this for $20? I would imagine it would take an expierienced themer less than an hour.
Draya strikes again. I know where my $20 is going.
