Im using an L3 E400.I had the exact same problem and found that trying to update firmware using the official lg update software did not work. I tired many times on different computers. The only way to update is to downland the latest firmware from the blog site and flash it, you know use kdz, as if your bricked your phone, but flash the latest firmware instead. This is how I went from 10k to 10Q
I just updated my LG G3 D855 to V10l-IND-XX (from V10j) via LG Mobile Support Tool. This update is still not available Over The Air. As usual LG Mobile Support Tool downloaded whole software (KDZ), about 1.19 GB and then updated the phone with it. Fortunately no phone data was lost by the update process (in contrast to what LG Support Tool predicted). After the software download, the actual update process took only a few minutes. As for the change-log of this update - I have not still noticed anything new or changed, only the battery performance seems to improve a bit.
Note - If you are going to update your phone via LG Support Tool then make sure to run it as Administrator in Windows. I did not do it and got the error "Unable to extract software archive, check your PC settings and try again". Frustrated, I had to repeat the whole process again. Also your Windows installation drive must have at least 8-9 GB free space (required for downloading and extracting software files), otherwise Support Tool will give error.
Thanks for the info.. :good:

The possibilities of a soft brick cannot be ruled out. Especially of you have custom recovery installed as well.

Preparing to flash KDZ now.
I recently bought a new gionee elife e7, but its rom (it didn't have the stock one) had a lot of problems so I want to change it. I downloaded GNQC DownLoad Tool and tried to flash the stock rom I found here : pan.baidu.com/s/1mgoIgha (pass : vt1a) . This rom is from gionee. My problem is that I get an error "The phone ver is different from SW ver" on GNQC DownLoad Tool. I tried to flash and other roms but I got the same error message. The version of my gionee elife e7 is GBW8901_A_NORIOS_094 (I can't find it anywhere on the google).
Can someone please help me flash the stock rom on my gionee e7?
EDIT : Stupid question, I found the solution. I had to disable SW check...
Good it is working!
What kind of Windows u have 7 or 8? 32bit or 64bit?

I have windows 7 64 bit.... But I think it doesn't metter...
Just a note, I noticed that in the 4.4.2 update the COM ports are not working for some reason and you can not use GNQC DownLoad Tool. In my case I had to downgrade to a 4.2 rom (using CWM recovery) and then use GNQC DownLoad Tool because I can only see the COM ports in my PC when my phone is on android 4.2. Correct me if I am wrong.
Nice!
Every body talks about the GNQC DownLoad Tool is not working under windows 64bit.
What kind of CWM and which ROM 4.2 you flashed?
What was that SW check are you talking?
Thanks a lot!

First of all, I have windows 7 64 bit and GNQC DownLoad Tool is working fine. I used the english version from here :
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51788389
The only case it is not working is when I update my gionee e7 to android 4.4.2 (the latest official india rom update, I update it through the official "System Update"). The latest update was charging my sim card (I lost 9 euros) for some reason I don't know (I guess they put a pre-installed virus? Not sure). It seems that, with the new update the COM ports just stop working, so the GNQC DownLoad Tool can't find them to flash new firmware. To fix this, I flashed TWRP recovery (forum.xda-developers.com/elife-e7/orig-development/recovery-t-r-p-recovery-2-8-5-0-t3050958) and installed the official china 4.2 rom (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648457). I only do that to get the COM ports back because they are working in the china 4.2 rom (most of the things in the 4.2 rom I install this way are not working so I only do that for the COM ports). And after all that, I use the GNQC DownLoad Tool to flash a firmware from the beginning.
I hope this will help some of you!
It is really helpful post! Thanks for your detailed guide.
I alredy helped some e7 users with COM error problems.
All credits goes to you of course!
So which ROM is "the best" in your opinion?
Kitkat is best.
He is charged because this rom has 2 programe that sends automatic messages and need to Be deleted.
Salestatistic and
Salestrack
You need Root for that.
Also You can shut them down by modify build.prop lines:
ro.gn.oversea.salestrack.gi=yes
ro.gn.oversea.salestrack.gi=no
You should do both for safety.
The messages are sent to
00918527214747
00919880938662
Also, for fun,You can change those numbers with any so the messages will Be sent to that number.
The messages contains phone imei, operator code and other things about phone.
The messages are being sent every time You power on your phone and yes,IT charges your phone bill.
Sorry for my bad english.

Yea, i'll stick with a custom ROM instead of this oficial update (that [email protected]!)
They are so late that i'm sure SaberMod, BlissPop, etc are better optimized.
Has anyone confirmed this to work on the XT1039? I assume it wouldn't be possible due to different LTE bands?
EDIT: Comparing the bands, it seems like there's little to no difference between the XT1040 and the XT1039, I assume like the Falcon, we wouldn't be able to restore to an older firmware via fastboot if we flashed this
Congrats motorola, it's been just 6 damn months.

Okay, so I took the risk and tried flashing the XT1040 firmware on my XT1039, I wouldn't do it unless you use your peregrine as a wifi only device

Yea, motorola took so long to bring it that i'm kind of glad as it made me try custom roms and the work all the teams make on the ROMs is amazing.
Now i'll always support them instead of motorola

anyone update to 5.1?
can you do a twrp backup
i am using xt1042 i think the backup should work for 1042 without flashing baseband

Hello , i make all steps , but when i flash ota 5.1 with custom recovery i get error , and installation aborted
help please
Hello,
I took a captured OTA of a 5.1 Lollipop ROM and when I launch the update process, I also get an error, it says that the fingerprint is not the version expected. But I have the KXB21.14-L1.56 as mentioned in the error message.
But I have an other question, why flash the 4.4.3 instead of directly the 4.4.4 version of the ROM ?
Thank you.
Hello again,
Yesterday I could update my XT1039 to Lollipop 5.1 via OTA on a fresh install of a 4.4.4 KitKat version. I just had to go in Google Play and to update the Motorola update service.
After the update, I could see that the build number of the update was LPB23.13-17 and the System Version is 23.21.17, different from the 21.11.56 of the captured OTA given here, which gave me the error.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
Ok

What is the best way to solve this,I read try to found on google but no one give the answer hot to fix this problem ..
Should I try to install another firmware?
no one have an idea how to fix this, I am waithing fort a week for someone to help me..

According with your model - you may try to download "4 files firmware repair" and flash with Odin. - this is an example, search for you model!!!
You may try Smart Switch for PC - it's a Samsung program which will help you restore the last original stock firmware according with your phone S/N (located under the battery).
Hoping that there is no emmc failure...
When I download this 4 files I flash one by one tru Odin or all files put together in odin?
My model is sm-n910t, tmobile, can I downlaod and flash other sm-n910f clean, without provider?

Mate, I don't advise to flash the 910F model, as it may break some features which are dedicated to your 910T model. SO better try the 910T repair files. Ans yes, all of them in the same time - your check the boxes in Odin and the phone will be flashed one after the other. Odin knows the order.
BUT!!! As I said before - try first with Smart Switch - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70652492&postcount=10
I believe you have more chances to get it done this way faster and cleaner.
Also (disclaimer) - as you will do all this on your risk, please search and read a lot before.
I download and flash through Odin latest firmware that i found, security update is from 1 july 2017..
Than I try to install TWRP
I also try to root with CF auto root
And after all this its the same, nothing of this not solve the problem..
I have bad and old Pc, and computer wont install and open Smart Switch.
First thing when I found better PC is that I will try with Smart Switch and if that not help me the last option is to flash that 4 files that you give me link..
