I have a friend working at google, which when I complained about how they canceled the nexus two, told me not to write-off a successor for the nexus one just yet...
At the time i thought he's trying to cheer me up, but really happy to learn there's some truth behind it!
And the best part is - it'll be released just in time for when my contract on the nexus one finishes

The planet does have thousands of languages. The count is currently 6,909... but languages change and some die. Check out www.ethnologue.org if you want to know more.

I'm sure some people are limited to the languages on Earth, but C3PO said ' I am fluent in over 6 million forms of comunication". With this phone, it will make a C3PO Droid absolete!

Not only is the commercial straight comedy in the best way possible(at the expense of Apple) but they keep it 100% real, no disclaimer required. I say bravo, wish T-Mobile had launched a campaign like this when the G1 rolled out, the commercial will play Sunday during the NFL games so people who missed it can view it in HD. Would be funny if R2-D2 and C3PO ran android. I suppose R2-D2 would have a Hero rom and C3PO would have a motoblur rom, what with him speaking almost every language.

yeah, Droid is a registered trademark of lucasfilm, so it's licensed but unless I'm getting Obi-Wan'd this is definitely the Droid I am looking for. The specs on it are awesome, and allegedly it's as thin as the iphone with it's sliding qwerty, can't wait till HTC matches this and throws it on good ol' T-mob.
looks like the htc dragon will be, or at least the phone they are suspecting to be the dragon. it has a keyboard too, that is what i am gonna go for

man i love this phone. its design is close to perfect IMO. this one is a keeper ever long after it is obsolete, simply because its a rare smartphone, is from google, and will be a nice little web tablet to keep around for nostalgia. its going in my permanent collection.
most phones i buy then sell after a few months and move onto the next thing, and i recoup about 50% to 75% of my money and use that to buy the next phone.

That could easily be 2.1, the development emulator that runs 2.1 looks exactly like that.
Not my next phone... also not a game changer...

If it had a SnapDragon, I'd totally go to CS, they've got great coverage in my area.

I'm looking for a snapdragon also.. won't move from the Hero until then! They say that this is the first of many... so hopefully the next one will be the Shadow.... or Desire... Incredible... etc.
Hints from some CS reps point towards the Desire to come out soon after the Milestone...

And the best part is, Android is at or above the market share the iPhone had in it's first year of release. And it's outsold the iPhone for the past two quarters. It's impossible to compete with a multi-phone platform

PLEASE let this alleged hardware issue be the addition of a trackball/trackpad and a better casing than cheap plastic that gizmodo reported.

Google needs some damn designers...lol. People with vision...the Nexus S/2 should looked like the HTC ONE concept some design student mocked up...with a few additions for usability.
You guys know Google doesnt' actually design phones right?
They basically call up sony/htc/apple/samsung and ask what new platforms/devices they have coming up. The respective companies show them a line up, google bids on them, and then they tweak it slightly (color/finish/very minor hw changes).
Cool, so rumour was true I hope it will be released soon...
I really hope it lives up to the nexus name. Not just a galaxy-S running stock android with an unlockable bootloader...

But that's the point. Love it or hate it this type of advertising works... It keeps the product in your mind and also makes you draw attention to something others might not watch...
I just want the facts...not the other one hour, thirty minutes and 14 seconds of hype and crap that video offered.

I completely agree if it wasn't effective it would make them idoits, but for me personally I found it incredibly annoying. I switched off as soon as that actress opened her mouth deloris, delila what ever her name was you know the one that looked drunk and I also skipped much of what happened prior to her appearing on stage and after, the only thing I can remember about the actual phone is s health or something, which I think sound like a bad idea having your fitness/health levels on your phone. Just sounds like another piece of data for companies to mine from you. Yeah yeah I know I'm paranoid.
