recommend an ebay seller of HD2 t9193? - HD2 General

always cautious of international purchases. I'm in los angeles county. Anyone have a successful ebay purchase of a new t9193? thanks. I've already bookmarked a couple of ebay sellers to watch.

If you're willing to wait about two weeks, I'll sell you mine in person! Still have the box and everything. Perfect condition save for a tiny light scratch (<1mm in length) on the screen which is only noticeable because I'm all OCD about the state of the phone
PM me if you're interested.

Just snagged this for $399 from ebay user jennemede:
HTC HD2 (Unlocked) *NEW* & AT&T 3G + 16gb MicroSD
Works great!

wow!! you got a t9193 for $399?? cant believe there were bids on it, I would've BIN asap. I will watch this seller. Did you receive the phone already? Is it as described? thanks.

bumping this thread as I am ready to purchase.
how about this ebay seller, anyone bought from them?
zozocellular
thanks....any other sources?

eBay sales can be tricky, especially if its International. I do have experience with one seller in Australia (I'm in the US). I purchased two T9193's and they arrived fast and in pristine condition and exactly as described.
He sells on eBay under the name "vi.tck" and regularly has HD2's for sale. He's not always the cheapest but I put a lot more weight on honesty and consistency than just price. Here's one of his HD2 auctions: Here's one of his HD2 auctions.
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT affiliated with this seller nor do I receive compensation of any type from him. I'm just a very happy and satisfied customer.

Universal wanted, any flavour

Sick of ebay wasters and the insurance company who seem to think that I need a laptop [-]
Well, I smashed the screen on my MDA pro two weeks ago and it's hardly useable. If there's anyone in the UK who wants to sell me theirs (any brand: QTEK, Imate, o2, Orange, T mobile) then PM me please. Cash waiting.
Got one
Update:
OK, I've ordered a couple of units which I should have next week. Although my insurance co have finally coughed up and I should have my replacement on Monday!
So, before I ebay the BNIB XDA Execs, anyone here want them? They will be treated as a trade sale (my company will not provide any warranty) and the price is £255.32+VAT (£300 including VAT) + shipping each. If you are outside the EU, you won't have to pay UK VAT.
This is assuming this deal goes through and my orders from the supplier are honoured.
First come first served - this is not a money spinner for me, although I'm not intending to lose out on the deal!
To clarify, I ordered two before I knew the insurance co would
1) replace my old unit
2) Not want my old unit
So they are sending me a new one and I'll get my old one repaired (been quoted £139+VAT by www.turnonyourmobile.com)
So that means the two I've ordered will be surplus to requirements. I reckon that's a cracking deal and I'll sell them on if anyone wants them. If I don't get any replies before my order is confirmed, I'll just cancel my order.

Australian buying HTC Touch HD

For Aussies who are looking to buy HTC Touch HD, you might like to know that a Melbourne based ebayer is now selling it bundled with TomTom6 and 8GB MicroSDHC card.
We also get local warranty for buying it here.
I just won one at about AUD1225, after being unsuccesful in the first attempt (the winning bid was AUD1250). All prices are inclusive of GST.
I thought it is not a bad deal. With the current exchange rate, it actually works out to be cheaper than importing from expansys Singapore assuming we can escape import duty. Depend on the exchage rate, it is quite close to importing to UK.
A couple of sellers are offering to let you buy it without bidding at about AUD 1350, also with TT6 (full license with latest Aussie Map) included.
I thought some of us here might be interested in this info.
Cheers.
thansk for yours info

I think that depends on your conversion rate that your credit card charges you.
The key reasons I bought it here was, at worst there is no significant difference in price (Many actually bidded successfully at got it at lower price than I did), you are assured GST is already included, hence no more import duty, local warranty, and inclusion of Tom Tom 6 (legit copy).
Are you sure you get better than that?
I bought one on the Buy it Now option for $1299. Mainly because he has TomTom with AU maps included. Many others are removing the 8Gb card, some even adding a 2Gb card as an offer having taken the 8Gb out!
I bet you were the bugger who outbid me for the 1225 one! ;-)

So, you were the bugger who drove the price so high!
Actually, those who bidded later got it a lower price.
We should have conspire and bidded one at a time, then all of us would have got it for 2.50

Well the phone you bought was not Australian stock. Either was mine but i know that. The guy you bought it from basically imported it and is now selling it for a premium. The way i purchased my handset is cutting that middle man out. And since it is not Australian stock it would be interesting to see how this "local warranty" will work out for you. My handset came to under $1000 so i had no gst or import tax. And i have tom tom 7 already so 6 doesn't really appeal to me

Okay, of course, all stocks came from China ultimately. HTC is a Taiwanese company which had manufacturing plants in China. So is Iphone for that matter. IPhone is manufacutred in China by Foxconn, which is another Taiwanese company with factory in China.
Everyone imports and sell for profit. You have paid a differet middleman by buying from Europe, that's all. Unless you buy directly from HTC China, you will have middleman.
I get your point regarding the so called local warranty, though. I hope HTC Australia honor it. If not, this guy might be just be paying for my freight to HTC Hong Kong for servicing I guess.
Have you received your credit card statement, or check it online to find out the conversion rate yet? Usually credit card company's rate is highly unfavourable, so am just curious what did they charge you with.
You're right about TT6. I'm not going to use it either.

Well all up once shipping was paid for i believe it was just under the $1100 mark. I highly doubt that htc will honour that warranty which is why i suggest you contact them asap. Even if my warranty isn't honoured in Austrlia i have a 2 year manufacturer warranty with a store i can send the handset back to. If i need to send it back of course i will pay the cost which is unfortunate. BUT, it is better than having no warranty and no place to send it back to.
i did what davecash did and got mine from Handtec
my credit card came up at AUD$1081
very happy with it so far, exactly what i need for my use. now just gotta suss out some tweaks :-D
Your credit card amount will be an uncertainty especially in this highly volatile time. At the time when I looked at it, I would be paying more than you guys if I had bought it from Handtec.
Another uncertainty was the import duty. Because the amount was bordering around 1000, it may be slightly more than 1000 or slightly less. I would have to live with the possibility of an import duty.
So I decided to bid because I would know for sure what I was going to pay, whereas getting from Handtec I did not know at what exchange rate I would be hit with, and if I would have to pay import duty.
Another thing to bear in mind is, just because you guys paid that amount is no guarentee that another person will be able to get that exchage rate. You know very well that AUssie currency is sliding downward these days.
So, I bidded in ebay.com.au.
I realised that I was impatient and bidded a little higher. This guy got it for much less at AUD1176

If you're able buying for business, there is also the benefit of the 10% GST input tax that you can offset, I think.
This seller advertised himself as operating in Melbourne, and I made a call to Melbourne, and there was a person there speaking to me. So...
I guess that shop might not be around when I need the warranty, but that would be just the same for Handtec I guess.
So, for all who are buying, weigh all the pros and cons and decide for yourself what you think is the best.
Cheers.
I was bidding on some of those phones too. But was outbid at $1200 at the last moment.
I wound up paying full price.
However, I don't mind as it has local warranty, and given my past experiences with smart phones, that is a must. I can also claim GST, and at today's exchange rate, it would be over the magic $1,000 mark if imported directly.
Bought my Xperia X1 and HTC Touch HD through MobiCity. It was shipped from HK via FedEx, next day delivery.
Prefer the HD for those wondering.

Did you pay $1349 for the HD? A little expensive I thought.
I get $2000 a year for mobile phone purchase (I own) ontop of my pay packet. The Sony Experia X1 was rolled over to a Director who wanted it after we finished testing it, his Audi Q7 wouldn't sync correctly using bluetooth with Touch Pro (the X1 syncs perfectly). Never had a problem with HTC's phone and my BMW.
My departments budget includes funding to buy, test and use (or not) mobile phones that we believe may be usable within our organisation.

Lucky you, mate. How does Mobicity do the warranty? Do they have to send it overseas or whill HTC Australia do it?
I bought my HD for $1050 total from handtec but that’s no longer possible with the current exchange rate and handtec's price increase.
Note that if you buy it from a "local" seller and need to send it back for warranty, it is highly likely that they will have to send it back overseas to get your phone fixed/replaced. It's not like they stock up on it and can just give you a replacement sent via express post nor can they send it to HTC Australia. That could result in an unfavorable turnaround time.
Regardless, if you want the phone go buy it because once you have it the price is all forgotten. Don't worry about how much you paid or what others got it for and just enjoy the phone.

Did you have to pay any GST or Duty when it arrived here in Australia ?
Looking to buy one soon.
What do you guys think of this ebay seller?

Your email was from a Mary? She told me that her stock has already been all returned to her supplier because the 8GB MicroSDHC and user manual are missing and she has sourced for the unit from another supplier but the stock are yet to arrive. So she currently has no stock. The stock is shipped out of Hong Kong, and not Sydney. Seems that everyone in Australia is advertising that they have stock, then ship the item out of Hong Kong.
I cancelled my order from the last one I ordered 10 days after payment (supposed to arrive from Melbourne 1-2 days after payment). He has has the wrong stock being returned to his supplier story. But I got the full refund.

Cheapest/Best Place to buy an Xperia? X1i or X1a, doesnt matter

hey guys, I have been wanting an Xperia for a while and I finally have enough money to buy one but I was just wondering where was the best place (located in the United States) to buy one? I am on T-Mobile USA so 3G doesn't matter, an X1i will be perfectly fine. I am trying to avoid the 700-800 dollar premium price as I have seen many for 600-650 new.
The best place atm in my opinion is...
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Ericsson...sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1234846501&sr=8-1
Just a question though, do ALL xperia's come with a 4GB MicroSD? Amazon doesnt specify what the package contents are. I can only be sure of the phone, manual,ac adapter,etc...
ebay would be your best bet. i saw "experia x1" goes around $640ish with free shipping... they are all x1i
place to buy x1
I bought mine on craigs list for 500. People are selling them cause they need the cash.. The guy had it listed at 600. He took 500 without any question.
I love hard eco times
ah I have been looking on craigslist for weeks! No one has an xperia for sale in my area (Sacramento, California)....
if the international versions do not have US warranties, how will the warranty work? I'm sure there has to be some kind of warranty in place.

yoou should be able to find it cheaper from

Nexus One for sale Tmobile $400 [Edited with pic links]

Hello,
I was an early adopter and got my N1 the day it was released even though I'm in Canada and cannot use it with 3G in my province of Quebec. I am going to purchase the Rogers compatible N1 and need to sell my current Tmobile N1.
It has always been in a rubber case with a protective plastic on the screen. There are no scratches or cuff marks. I have the original box, charger, usb cable, earphones and the 4GB SD card. I may have the original documentation but I would have to check (I'm at work now). The N1 is rooted with cyanogen's latest.
I am selling the phone for 400.00 USD. I payed the full $520 plus duties on it.
I will also be listing the phone on ebay so it is first come, first serve. If you have any inquiries, let me know.
I will post pics in a bit.
Thanks,
George
the forums will not allow me to post links to outside sites since my account is new.

16GB T-Mobile Dell Venue Pro for sale!

I have a newly received 16GB Dell Venue Pro (T-Mobile) for sale. I just received it this afternoon. It is factory refurbished from Dell. They swapped out my bricked DVP for this one. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
Shawn
I see this is your second post. I'm new here myself, but I have a feeling that posting a thread that you're selling a DVP is probably frowned upon.
There was a thread posted on here earlier, entitled "your unwanted DVP," with someone in India I believe looking to buy one. but I'm guessing he's looking for the AT&T/international version because of T-Mobile's incompatible 3G band.
My advice -- post it on ebay, get paid through paypal, ship it with delivery confirmation. That way you're covered if the buyer files a non-receipt complaint. Also, don't list it as an auction. Find out the high end of what a perfect condition one has sold for recently and set that as its buy-it-now price. Make sure to get the unlock code via [email protected] (Send the request with your IMEI and Service Tag.) A newish unlocked T-Mobile DVP should go for about $160.
Or you can post on craigslist, but at that point you're just hoping someone near you wants one and they don't know how to use ebay.
Good luck!
ebay listing looks good! Now that I see it I feel like you could raise the price another $10 or so, since it has all the accessories as well. The last one I sold was a 18-month-old 16GB T-Mobile DVP with significant wear, and that went for over $160, but that was also just before the non-upgradable-to-WP8 announcement. That may be affecting prices.
Thanks! To be honest, I really like the DVP and WM7.5 OS. I never had any problems with the phone whatsoever. It's just sad that alot of people soured on it after the initial batch came out. If T-Mobile didn't give me an Amaze 4G for free, I would still be using the DVP.
TechoSquid
The DVP I sent back to Dell was T-Mobile and the one they sent me is a unlocked generic carrier version. Think I can sell it for a little more??
Out of curiosity, if "It has never been turned on or used," how do you know dell updated it to Tango build 8773? P.s. you accidentally said build 8337 in your listing.
Buy-it-now listings almost always go for more than an auction. Why would a potential customer bother bidding on an auction? It's because they're trying to get a lower price than similar listings available for with buy-it-now. Just for future reference.
