Hi,
I am a big fan of MIUI but i awfully hate its default launcher.
I was wondering if there is a way whereby i can replace the stock MIUI launcher with the launcher pro?
Thanks!!
Just download it from the market.

Thanks for the reply fiskenigaten.
But i was actually wondering of integrating it with the rom itself.

There should be no miui launcher left!!
thanks.

Just set it as default when you install it. Then you'll never see miui launcher ever again.
Or if you want to take it to the extreme, you can use titanium backup to fully remove miui launcher after you've installed launcher pro. But honestly I don't recommend it. Just stick with the first solution bud

If u decide not to keep miui don't move launcher pro to SD. . Or use a root explorer and move /data/app/ launcher pro (I think its a different name but same icon) to /system/app and long press it, hit "permissions" and unchecked all 3 on the 3rd row, and the 3rd one on the second row. Save. Reboot.

Titanium backup pro has the option to integrate into the rom, just find launcher pro and long press and you will see it. I do this all the time with go launcher it lets you still do a factory reset safely, whereas it would disappear and you would have no launcher if you didn't D:

install launcher pro... select as default after pressing home button...
use a root enabled file explorer e.g. root explorer...
navigate to & mount system/app/
rename Miuihome.apk (think that's its name) to Miuihome.bak...
done ^^ no more Miuihome.apk a.k.a MIUI stock launcher :highfive:
Using launcher pro, I have a black screen and can see only the dockbar after unlocking defy, just for me?? I have wajkiui.......a mix of miui an cyano

Maybe its the rom, try a different launcher like ADW or go launcher and see if they work

Questions go in the Q&A section
How do I set APEX to be the default launcher. Android used to prompt me which launcher to use but no longer does.
I had the previous APEX release which kept on crashing and have just installed the APEX update and would like to re-use APEX as my default.
I thought that I went into Settings / Launcher but there is no option there for APEX.
Thanks
I wish I could delete this post Answer is : APEX Settings / Advanced / Set default launcher.
Edit your post and and add [Solved] to the title. A lot of forums use that convention and I've seen a few people use it here.
sorry for this newbie and off-topic question..
im the poster of another thread, but i cant seem to edit the topic subject..
when clicking "Edit/Delete" button, i was only given the textarea to edit the topic content.. cant find a way to edit the subject!
Goto Advanced and then edit the title
How do I make it non-scrolling? I've used other stuff, such as apps...but how do I make my own?

Please be more specific!
Which rom you use? (stock, rooted stock, CM10 or CM10.1)
Which launcher you use?
Any type of skins?
etc
If you are rooted and use another launcher than BN, check the launcher settings. Often there is a setting somewhere to choose wether or not to scroll wallpaper.
First of all I should say that Carl & the guys did a fantastic job with the new ROM. My question is more of a stylistic issue, but is there an easy way to change the home-screen icon to the one shown is the first picture of the following thread? I would ask directly there but I'm a new member and apparently that's not allowed...Senior member PwN.CraZyTagZ also shared his holo toggles which totally rock and were easy to install (just replaced hyperion-res.apk in system/framwork). Could there be a similarly easy way to swap the home-screen icon?

Many thanks in advance

So u want to change the launcher icon??
Follw the steps
1.Take the launcher.apk of the final build
2.Using 7Zip browse this
Code:
res/drawables-ldpi(or whichever it may contain...every launcher has a different ones)
3.Find icon.png
4.Replace the one with your desire
5.Done.....Enjoy......

thanks a lot...it's good to know that. Presumably the aforementioned procedure won't work if I've odexed my Hyp.8 GM final, will it? I've not actually tried it but I'm expecting to find a launcher.odex file instead of the apk...
many thanks again (pressed it also)
Hi guys , it would be great if anyone could tell me which file to install from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405982 this mod to get only the "options" part (image attached below), also i only want those menu options nothing else from the ics mono black mod.
I get notification bar when i install system ui.. and settings from the settings file.. confused in tw-framework and framework-res..
and if editing is needed then i dont wanna do any editing of this mod so if anyone knows a mod where i only get the "menu options" then that would be very helpful
Ps. im new to xda so if any mistakes den sowie
thats to do with the launcher - use what ever launcher is in that rom
