CM 6.0.1 has been released - Droid Incredible General

Don't wanna post other peoples work... so go get it yourself through ROM Manager.

Anyone tried this yet?

I have. Great ROM. But the Bluetooth is still choppy. Is there a fix for this. This is the one and only reason I can't use this ROM. I need Bluetooth.
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App

Downloading it now. I've never used Rom Manager before and noticed there was CM 6.0.1, 6, and 6 RC3. Was CM 6 stable release newer than RC3? I've been on RC3 since it came out and it's been rock solid other than random reboots with wifi on.

where?? dont see.. cleared download cache

This is awesome, download now. Koush will update his thread soon, but for those who don't use clockwork app here is the download site

Unlike 6.0.0, 6.0.1 does not appear to be overclocked, and it is much more stable on my Inc. No reboots yet.

Update
I did S-off, upgraded the radio to 2.15 and installed CM 6.0.1.
I overclocked to 1.152 and i got 1450 in quadrant. So far so good.
I connected it to my computer and it asked me to format the internal memory, only 760mb shows up as total space to format though. Any thoughts?
Edit: Now under phone settings it shows 0.00B for internal memory and i get notifications for low disk space.
Edit2: Restarted the phone and now i'm in a boot loop. Back to SR 2.5 for now.

I am still unable to get facebook to sync with my contacts on this? 6.0.1, Any help please, I can get anything else working no problem. Works perfect with the Facebook for Sense...

That's great news! The instability / reboots made the previous versions nearly unusable for me. I look forward to trying this.

Does sling player work yet?

Could someone package an update.zip with the changes? I hate wiping for only a dozen lines of code when I JUST restored all my apps before 6.0.1 was released

Can anyone post the kernel version? I've heard that the kernel that comes with 6.0.1 isn't overclocked, however I'm still able to oc to 1.15
I did an install with no wipe, if the kernel and / or build number differs then I'll do a full wipe.

That's not the same as your 8gb of onboard storage. That's your app storage you really can't get to normally. If you installed the 6.0 final or 6.01 you will see your onboard 8gb storage in Astro File Manager. Main problem still exists though, the OS isn't scanning it for music and photos like it should. That's going to be fixed eventually.
This version is MUCH more stable for those who had reboots and black screen issues. It's only been about 12 hours but I haven't had an FC or any reboots yet. Just look forward to the fix mentioned above and Bluetooth getting finalized.
EDIT - an hour after posting this my phone was stuck with a black screen, no response for several minutes until it finally rebooted... oh well

Not at all. There is similar data in this one, to the one you're referring to.
The image of the one you're referring to is NOT a Root image.
it's a normal image. If you have a problem like that, try reflashing it, checking the md5 hash on that - making sure it matches someone else's that works AND/OR, just re-download the file.
Either way, you probably want to re-flash that PB00IMG.zip. But if you reflash it and the same problem happens, you will want to re-download it, or check to make sure the file is 100% intact.
<sigh> I am flashing more now than with my 6800, 6950, and Omnia combined

No information is missing in my phone, all fields are filled. Just flashed this ROM this morning and so far so good....
how does this compare to the 2.1 OTA root ROM?
I'm running evil eris right now, starting to get fed up with the bugs interfering with the necessary usage of my phone.
I am on the forums daily, but I'm getting confused with all the updates coming out and which one(s) are better than others.

[ROM][BL1.1][BL1.2] GtabComb beta 3.3 (updated 7/27/2011) Gtablet\Zpad T2

MOD EDIT: AS WE ARE REORGANIZING THE GTABLET FORUM - ALL ROMS/KERNELS/ETC WILL HAVE THEIR Q&A POSTS MOVED TO THE Q&A SECTION.
THE Q&A LOCATION FOR THIS ROM IS HERE
Thanks.
---------------------------------------
STANDARD DISCLAIMER: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. By running this firmware mod, you agree that there is the possibility that you may brick your device and neither myself, XDA nor Viewsonic are responsible for supporting you if that occurs. In this case, it is required that you learn and setup nvflash prior to running this mod.
This is a port of AdamComb with pershoot kernel and some tweak for performance and usability. Thanks all the greatest Adam, Vegan, Gtab devs that make this rom possible.
Install instruction:
1. Make sure the version of your bootloader and download the corresponding rom
2. I guess most of you should already be in CWM, but if you are not. update the recovery to CWM first. Stock recovery might work but you need to do some work and CWM is much better anyway.
3. Wipe data / Factory reset. It might work well, but you will most likely have problems without doing this.
4. Using the "install from sdcard" to install and enjoy.
Features: Very fast and stable
For AdamComb features, check its original post at tabletroms.
1. Overclocked by default, max frequesy adjusted by battery level.
-- you could use setcpu to adjust the min, max frequency. The build-in script for cpu management respect the setting from setcpu
2. Tweaked internal storage & SD card read speeds
3. Annoying ads in programs are blocked
4. Calkulin's battery saving script
5. data2loop works super well
6. pre-load some useful modules at boot time, e.g. cifs, ntfs, utf8, tun.
Known Issues:
1. Anything related to hardware acceleration
2. Stock Camera App does not work.
Beta 3.3: AdamComb v0.2 + pershoot's kernel 07/25/11
[BL1.1]
http://dev-host.org/bsnx1bmz8pgy/GtabComb_b3.3_bl1.1.zip
[BL1.2]
http://dev-host.org/k0zcozlozwgi/GtabComb_b3.3_bl1.2.zip
changelog:
1. update to pershoot 26.32.43 kernel. As already confirmed by some users, this version runs faster and hopefully it also resolve the BT tether issue
2. fix the "import" bug in init.rc.
3. change the label of sdcard and mircosd to be the same as in stock version. So far I have not got any issue and it does fix the "install unsuccessful" problem for some app.
4. remove some libs that does not use in gtab to free up some space. now all the libs in pershoot kernel are available in this rom. just edit the /system/etc/init.d/05modules to add your desired lib in the modules string.
5. Thanks all you guys for testing this and digging into issues. This help me a lot to resolve some issues here. It is the effort from all of us that make this rom better and better.
Beta 3.2: AdamComb v0.2 + pershoot's kernel 07/02/11
[BL1.1]
link: http://www.mediafire.com/?sy8oxpcrdufr4e3
[BL1.2]
link: http://www.mediafire.com/?xqoo08e1m49no1d
changelog:
1. battery life improved a lot
2. overall system performance improvement.
3. partially fixed bluetooth. Not sure how much it works (pulling some of bluetooth libs from flashback)
4. remove street and office app. put back camera app (it still fc, put it here so that some power user could play on it to see if we could find a fix here)
5. fix an issue that usb connect and debug notification does not disappear when the usb is disconnected (well, it still do not work if the usb is disconnected when the system is on sleep)
6. code reorganization and clean up. make it easier for some power user to change settings and plug in scripts without the need to unpack/repack boot.img. Hopefully we could have more power user to play with the system and further improved this rom.
7. change the cpu governor to respect on cpumaster, so you can use both setcpu or cpumaster to adjust the voltage if you really do not like the cpu managed by the buildin script.
8 change bootanimation (pulling from the bootanimation collection by thinkdevoid @tabletroms)
Again, back up and wipe data and factory reset (at least wipe dalvik cache) if you want a smooth experience. Almost all unexpected FCs are related to NOT wiping data
Beta 3.1: AdamComb v0.2 + pershoot's kernel 07/02/11

link: http://www.mediafire.com/?0cwkg59u6ict3t2

BL1.1 ONLY
This is the old rom that based on Roebee's BOS HoneyComb. Check Roebeet's orginal post for more detail.
Besides the greatness of BOS, this rom also have some additional features:
1. Overclocked by default (max frequesy adjusted by battery level)
2. Tweaked internal storage & SD card read speeds
3. Annoying ads in programs are blocked
4. Calkulin's battery saving script
Known Issues:
1. All the BOS issues apply here

alpha 1.6 (based on BOS_a6.0)
Note: users in other roms have mix experience on data2loop. It works very well for me, but I do not know how it will work for you. If it works well, you should expect data intesive apps (e.g. email, galary, market, etc) load much faster. If you do not know what data2loop is and its potential risk, do not flash a1.6.2. a1.6.1 already perform very well. you should wipe user data/factory reset before flashing a1.6.2 if you decide to try it.
--a1.6.2 (ext2 data2loop enabled. Very fast. Quardrant score: 3923)

Just flashed this last night and had about 2 hours with it (not a lot of time at all but) I love it!!! It's my first Honeycomb ROM. Great so far... what a learning curve HC is? Just weird but I am getting the hang of it. Thanks all for your hard work!

Loving the rom so far. Really great job, one question though. Is there a way to make it so pressing the home button takes me to the main screen instead of to the large clock? I'm probably just messing an easy setting or something, but I can't seem to find it.
Edit: For anyone interested, unless there is another way that I'm aware of, you can fix this by using titanium backup to freeze the clock in the backup/restore menu. This breaks the alarm clock though. Hope that helps, maybe someone else will have a better solution

Could you explain a bit more what is your issue?
What you mean by "large clock"?
I am on 1.6.2 and anytime I press home button I end on home screen. :-O
First HC rom here too, really nice interface improvements. Thanks to the devs for giving us this!
Is it just me, or is anyone else "missing" the menu bar at the bottom of the home screen with home, menu, back etc keys?
EDIT: Issue was resolved by wiping and reinstalling. Think it might have been caused because I launched VLT Launcher first time I booted up HC and not the default launcher.
hey guys, i just upgraded to this from vegan 5.1.1 and so far im liking it! Its worked fairly well for my games so far including plants vs zombies keep up the great work!

When i would press home either on my gtab or on the screen, the screen would change to a large clock. If you've ever seen the desk clock feature on a droid (like when its in the dock), thats what it looked like.
I had the previous BOS version from this thread of 6/24 (?) and it ran fine. I downloaded 1.62 and it would not run - it would not go past lock screen. 1.61 did the same thing. Did full wipe before and after install, and downloaded both versions again and after install the same thing happened. I am now downloading 1.52 and will try that one.

Same here as Aldo.Caruso - no adhoc wifi on 1.6.1

I noticed this rom doesn't have google talk installed. I pulled the honeycomb gtalk apk from bottle of smoke. So far it seems to work without issue. I have it attached here, just download and install like you would any other apk.
Good so far
Awsome ROM, only one problem so far for me. Facebook for Android 1.6 keeps saying I don't have a connection. While facebook with the browser works fine.

Sorry, I had never seen that thing you are talking about. Picture will help here. But if you have such an app installed, go to application management in settings and check whether it is not marked as default app for home. If yes, reset that setting.

I decided to go back to alpha1.5 because lack of ad-hoc network support is too much an issue considering that Gtab is wifi only and tethering to my android phone is the only way to go online!!!
Anyway I just read this on the Slatedroid forum:
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/18755-ad-hoc-network/
This file and method are meant for the Iconia Tab but I posted a question asking if it could work also on other tablets. Will let you know.
Could someone smarter then me try to explain why the heck you need such weird thing like ad-hoc wifi :-O
I know that Google disabled some useful things in Android, but I am sure ad-hoc was not disabled, it was simply ommited as completely obsolete and useless way of connection.
Every modern WiFi chip can act as AP, so there is no reason to use ad-hoc. Is it possible to secure it? I am not sure, but I doubt it...
Anyway, I am using my other android phone for wifi tethering and there is definitely no need for ad-hoc for wifi tethering...
But maybe I am completely dumb. In that case, please educate me a bit...
issues with 1.6.2 on GTablet UPC300-2.2
really like it, very fast and looks great. i have a few questions:
1. the camera is not working at all.
2. i have no volume control at all, it is full or off no in between.
Any one else see tjis or have a solution to fix it???

[TELUS T959D Fascinate]-Running S.U.R.F.A.C.E ICS

First of all I would like to give credit where credit is due and say thank you to SamHaLeKe for all the work he put into this port and all the other Developers involved to bring ICS to the SGS
If you would like a full run down of this ROM and what is included as any new developments, please visit the ROM thread
Now off to the good bits ...
Install
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG AND YOUR PHONE CEASES TO WORK. THIS IS NOT A DETAILED WALK THROUGH BY ANY MEANS. I AM ASSUMING YOU READ ONE OF THE MANY OTHER TELUS THREADS THAT HAVE THE FULL INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED TO PERFORM THE BELOW STEPS.
Note: I am not going to post all the links to files as I do not have the time to update them everyday when something changes. I will however post links to the ROM and Kernel threads for your reference.
I decided to start fresh (and I mean fresh) from stock FROYO with a full SD format and the works.
Step 1
Flashed back to stock with ODIN. Again I used FROYO but I am sure GB would work. If you want to start fresh as I did, go to options storage and format the internal SD (13 GB).
Step 2
Download the ROM and Glitch V13 kernel (what I used) and copy them to the SD card of the phone. I suggest removing any external SD as not to copy the files to the wrong spot (guess what I did LOL).
Step 3
Flash voodoo kernel from ODIN to root and install clockwork recovery making sure that you do not repartition in ODIN
Step 4 - Note: The older voodoo kernel gave an "assert failed" error trying to flash the ROM through recovery)
Boot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik then flash the Glitch V13 kernel from zip and reboot. At this point you will most likely be boot looping but no worries everything is OK
Step 4
Pull the battery and then boot into recovery with volume up + volume down +power. Wipe cache and dalvik and flash the ROM from the ZIP
Let the ROM boot and then again boot to recovery and flash the essentials zip.
Voila you should be running S.U.R.F.A.C.E ICS, aint it beautiful?
I continued and flashed add on packs 1 and 2 but that is up to you
Now for my findings thus far ...
I am in no way a power user when it comes to my phone but I do play with it a lot. I have to say that this ROM seems to be the one of the smoothest to date and seems to take to our device nicely.
Battery has been nothing short of great for me. Through the week I can easily get 2 days out of it (work all day). Now I also try to minimize the drain by turning off whatever I don't need like WIFI seeing as there is none where I work.
I flashed the JL3 modem and it seems to work good for me but then I don't live where you do so you may have better luck with another.
The kernel included in the ROM (if you read the ROM post) is Glitch V14 pre which runs amazing as usual although still in the development stage. This kernel has a lot of new features that I will let you read up on yourself here
The ROM also includes supercharger and thunderbolt scripts (I admit I have little to no experience with these but I do know they help).
No FC's with this ROM other then the video camera but I have seen some posts regarding this and have not got around to working on it but will be I am sure very soon. It looks like just a file update maybe but too soon to tell.
Live overclock seems to work if I leave the voltage settings alone but that could just be a lack of experience in this area but it never hurts to try. If anyone has settings that are working for them I would love to know what they are. I have set the live overclock to 120% or 1.2ghz and it runs fine again if I do not change the voltage.
It's only been about 3 days since the install but this is what I got so far. I would recommend giving it a try for sure.
I know there are a few of us on this ROM so post up your findings here.
Thank you
Buck
Similar but running Glitch v14
Thanks for the write up Buck. I have been running this rom (Surface) for a few days also but I came from cm7 to this one. I have also been toying around with it over the last few days which has gotten me in a few tight spots lol. I have my Volt control set to 1304, no voltage changes and it runs flawlessly. The modem I put on was the JVT which also seems to work well.
What I have learn about Live OC:
First you set your clock speed in Volt control, then flip over to NStools (that is the easy part)
IMPORTANT.... If you choose to mess with this, make sure settings in NStools is NOT set to apply on boot or make sure you have a good recovery to go back to. Found this out the hard way
Click on live oc and you can make changes here... If you read the articale from Glitch on this it will help alot (found in the OP for T959D).
Live oc clocks up the cpu AND bus so it affects the gpu and memory along with the cpu (very important).
Findings... some settings work fine, 105, 106,110, 114, 116. 115 seems to have issues and provides lower performance considerably lower.
I use AnTuTu to check how things are working. That being said, if you apply set at boot and you hit a setting that first craps out the phone, causes a reboot then your going to be in a bootloop or it will start reboot start reboot. This is why you DON'T do this or like I said earlier have a good recovery handy.
Right now I am only running 1304 and 100% and everything is fine except the prior mentioned FC on video cam. Oh I should mention also I am running the Lazy governor atm which also seems to work fine (default is on demand).
Anyways
Well I think we may have broken the record for the longest 2 posts on the first page in xda history lol. Happy flash year everyone

Didn't notice you guys mention this, but Glitch V14 has an option in CWM to clear NSTools settings. It's right above the option to clear voltage settings under the Glitch Menu.
It works well, believe me!!

I'm on ICS!
Thanks bucky!!
I'm on ICS now, with Glitch v14 but I have a few questions I'm hoping you can help with:
- The screen layout / icons seem shrunken to me? As well as the notification bar. General text and keyboards are fine. Is there a fix I can apply?
- With further versions from Surface can I just flash over top of what I'm on now or do I need to go back to stock?
- Do I need to use TI to bring all my apps back up (I get "App X has stopped working"), or is there a quicker way?
Thanks again.

Well the shrunken icons are because of the DPI setting in the build.prop file. You can change it with a text editor (I use root explorer) to the default value of 240. It is listed as LCD Density.
To flash another version you should be fine to flash over what you have with a factory reset and wipe cache
Apps well I usually just re-download from the market. I have used TI and found I get the best result if I restore without data. Remember not all apps are compatible with ICS yet so that could cause issues as well.
Enjoy the ICS I know I do.

Nothing like that here maybe the way it was flashed I am not sure. Have you added anything?

Only flashed the add-ons, and the launcher pack. Changed the LCD density and that's about it. I'm thinking it might be because I didn't wipe the sd card and start clean.

Thanks for posting your OC and UV values. I'll give those a try.
I've been experiencing random crashes and reboots (woke up this morning to a dead phone). It was plugged in overnight but crashed at some point and did not charge. Battery voltage dropped down to almost nothing.
Anyone else experiencing random reboots?
I was using an OC value of 1304 (no live OC). UV values left stock. Ondemand governor, Deep idle ON, noop IO scheduler.
I did not format my sdcard prior to install. Just did a data wipe/factory reset, format cache and dalvik then installed according to the instructions. Installed Add-on Essentials and Add-on Pack One. All other apps were reinstalled from the market (after using market enabler and changing DPI back to 240 using ROM manager).
Everything works great except for the random crashes and reboots. I'll probably start from scratch again when v1.3 comes out (except I will format the SD card). Maybe even start from stock Froyo as recommended in the OP.
EDIT:
Tried the settings and my phone was not happy. It froze when setting the UV values. My phone seems to have a problem with any live OC value other than 100%. As soon as I increase it I lose all stability.
1.3 released and I am running it.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Settings
I'm on Glitch v14 pre5 and I just clocked it up to 1300 and added 104% live OC for a stable 1352, no undervolting battery sitting @ 68% 1 day 22hrs. I did turn off some stuff I dont use and had data running on and off for the whole time.
For the guys that are having problems with flashes, I generally wipe everything I know its a pain but I don't experience any problems either. I also wait until i have a full battery too. It seems to pay off in the long run...
Happy Flashing!!!
Phone and contacts are working well now, but I can't get app data to save. For example some apps t's&c's keep asking for approval everytime I open the app. Also beautiful widgets skins keep reverting back to default. I'm going to wipe, format the SD card and install 1.3 from stock Froyo. here's hoping.

Updated from previuos ROM (120202) wiping only partition cache and dalvik cache, I don't know what is wrong but ROM was really laggy, USB storage mode didn't work, so I'm backing up to previous version. Maybe should try updating with full factory reset, but it would be to weird.
with full wipe USB mount storage working normally.
flashed this firmware but do not see any changes.

[ROM][Lollipop][Omni 5.1.1] P5wifi (DISCONTINUED)

Hi all, here I wish to continue porting OmniROM from the P4/P4wifi over to our device the P5/P5wifi.
*Please note that this is simply a port of an already built rom. It was not built from source therefore anything that you may find to be broken will more than likely remain broken until it is fixed in the parent ROM.
-Many thanks to the builder of this rom @AAccount. His hard work made this ROM possible. :good:
-Thanks to @jolinnard whose kernel is being used in these ROMs. :good:
*On first boot the keyboard will not be showing. The fix is simple. Go to settings>Language & Input. Tap on Current Keyboard and flip the toggle next to Hardware. The keyboard should now be fine.
Working:
Everything works on the P5 AFAIK
Not working:
SELinux---------Need a recovery that supports it.
To those looking forward to a P5 3G rom then please note that there will not be one any time soon. AAccount has stopped building for the p4 3g so that means we don't have a 3g rom to port anymore. So unless AAccount starts porting for the p4 again there won't be a P5 rom.
Flash Instructions
Wipe data, system, cache, dalvik if coming from another ROM. If ugrading to a newer build then a simple Dalvik and cache wipe will do
Flash the ROM zip
Flash GAPPs (Thanks to @jolinnard)
Flash SuperSU
Reboot and enjoy
Original ROM thread
Credits
@AAccount - for the ROM
@jolinnard - For the kernel
@decatf - for his work on the p4 kernel which is used here that delivers great performance
If you helped out and I missed you in the credits then send me a PM and you will be credited
This port has been discontinued!!
"See why
Hey! Maybe some day I will back to Omni. I'm planning to erase my Gtab of Google stuff and enjoy a clean Android experience.

Awesome!! Erased my internal sdcard by accident last week. Luckily I have the same files on my Nexus 9 so I was saved. This port works great for me. Should I even port for the P5? AAccount stopped building for the p4 as of May 23. Reason being that 3G doesn't work but oddly enough it does work on the P5 using our modified KK kernel and your data_on script.

Did you try with advanced wifi configuration? Try not use dhcp to assign wifi. Use a fixed ip. I had the same issue and that was the solution.

I have no such problems. My WiFi connects just fine. Try turning airplane mode on for a moment then turn it back off and try connecting again. Could it be the kernel? I'll p.m you a kernel to try and see if it fixes anything later on. Any logs?
OP has been updated with links to the new build released by AAccount today. According to him there were no major changes, just the usual Omni sync.

I'm sorry to hear that. You can use adb to push a zip file to your sdcard for installation.
Use this command
Code:
adb push romname.zip sdcard
Or you could use sideload to install one as well. in twrp go to advanced then select adb sideload and connect your tab to your pc. Open up windows command prompt and type
Code:
adb sideload romname.zip
This should get a rom installed to your tab.
File has been re-uploaded. It opens fine now and should work fine.

I have absolutely no problems with the ROM. No force closes or anything. Can you try a clean install of the 0716 build and see if it fixes anything?
Just before your re-upload I installed aosp-5.1.1-p5wifi-20150513. (Jollinnard). This ROM runs better than the UltraPlus I had before.
What are the advantages of your ROM over Jollinard's?

There aren't any huge differences but here are a few notable changes
1) Ability to change battery icon
2) Battery color changes based on charge level
3) Pre rooted
4) Performance settings app included
5) Omniswitch recent
And a few others nothing big. IMO I prefer the browser in the omnirom over the aosp browser and the omni keyboard over the Google keyboard in the aosp ROM. But that's personal preference. Try both and pick a side *twix ad*

Edit the updater script and at the top where you see p5wifi simply delete the "WiFi" part so only p5 remains. Save the file put it back into the ROM zip and flash. Or you could simply flash the p5wifi recovery and you'll no longer have to worry about editing the script.
For future ROMs I think I'll remove the assert lines in the updater script so nobody else will have to worry about them.
