How to stop SMS/MMS pop-ups

Where in the settings do I have the option to turn off those annoying SMS/MMS screen pop-ups? It’s like a violation of my privacy sort of! Lol .
I am running the latest stable Energy rom on my T-Mobile HD2.

Have you tried Windows Settings > Sounds and Notications > Notications > New Message >Unclick Display on Screen?

My mother told me there is no such thing as a stupid question! That was a fairly easy fix. Thanks again.

Lock Screen Help

Hey all,
I tried to set up my lock screen, and when I go into settings, I can configure a PIN or password, but I can't enable it. It is set to "off" and when I tap it, it dumps me back to the main settings screen.
I have done more flashing than a Republican Congressman, but nothing seems to work. I'm also good with going back to stock (I think I tried that), but I have to have a lock screen for work.
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

I did not post this in development forum... Have posted under general forum...

Settings > Location & security > Tap on PIN or Password to set the lock method.
That's all you need to do, it will automatically enable the protection for you.
To disable the PIN or Password protection, select the Off or Not secured option.
Using Off will display directly the main screen, while Not secured will display the swipe circle.

Have already tried all that... didn't work... I set the pin and still says it is off.. Turned my screen off and lock screen doesn't appear when I turn it back up...
Don't know what is going on..

Are you using a vanilla 3.1 ROM or creepy TouchWiz?
Settings > Location & security > Configure Lock Screen > PIN
Enter PIN > Continue > Confirm PIN > OK > Tap Home > Press Power button

I don't think so... It is a factory stock 3.1 ROM.. I didn't change anything... I have the rooted Droid 1, never had this prob with my phone.. Don't understand what is going on... Have tried the typical steps but screen lock not enabling...
Only thing is that, mine came from Europe as a gift... Maybe this was how it got set up over there? But don't know...

I have a brazilian one with the sam problem. I think it's a bug.

I had the same problem. Go to the security page and chose which method youwant to use, pin, parties or pattern. Once you enter it don't click anything else in that screen. Click the back button and it will be saved.

is there a developers mode for the moto X i only have 2 choices for when i connect to my computer. thank you for your help.

It is not enabled by default. You have to go into Settings, select about phone, and then repeatedly tap on Build Number until it activates developer options. Once you have it activated, press back, and Developer Options should be listed in the main settings menu.
Also, in the future, questions should go in the Q&A section, not General.

DEV Q: How to Toggle a Global Setting Programmatically (Bluetooth, Location, etc)?

My Question:
How can I turn *OFF* one of a user's Global Settings, (such as "Location" or "Bluetooth", or "WiFi", etc)..?
(Back in the earlier days of Android, there were plenty of "Quick Toggle Settings" Widgets out there)..
But these days, you can no longer adjust those settings so easily..
However, I came up with a couple of ideas/thoughts on possibly how to do it, and need some clarification!
( 1 ) - Would obtaining "Phone Administrator" privileges, (similar to the way Launchers like NOVA do to perform certain actions) work?
NOTE: I'm referring to the App's you might find in (Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > Phone administrators).
OR..
( 2 ) - Would becoming a "Device Owner" (like in the "Device Owner" Android Code Sample in Android Studio) be of any help?
I'm at a total loss for ideas at this point, and can't figure out how to do this..
Note that I am actually trying to turn OFF a setting, NOT on.. But I doubt that makes any difference..
If anybody could please provide me with some answers to my questions, I would greatly appreciate it!

Because in the way I intend to implement it, the user would have already asked for it to be turned off.. I just dont want them to need to go to an entirely different "System Settings" screen or whatever in order for them to do it.. I just want them to have the option to do it from within part of my App..
But your followup question which I've just quoted and answered, does nothing to help answer MY question unfortunately
Does anybody actually have any answers that could be of assistance to me?
I'm thinking if my App requests access to be added as a Device Administrator (similar to how NOVA launcher does it, for gestures and other things), it could open up my ability to do what i'm trying to do..
Can somebody please verify this, or give me some additional info?
I would greatly appreciate it..

Set ON Vibration feedback on taps

You can enable vibration feedback on taps at :
Settings -> Sound&Notifications -> Advance Setings -> Vibrate on Tap .
