Hi,
I have a small problem wit the landscape mode with HTC Sense's music player in landscape mode on HD2: Album covers are sorted by album name, not by artist.
Is there a way to change or hack this?
I have searched this forum, but haven't found anything - maybe also used wrong keywords...
any help is appreciated

I think I know the answer to this one but...
Is there any way to change the sort order of the albums in the HTC Music in landscape mode.
Currently everything is ordered by Album what I would like is Artist->Album (very much like iTunes {sorry for the swearing!!}).
Or is there anything I can install as a replacement?
TIA
This happens alot when I try to make my music player go to landscape mode...
I have searched the forums, and couldn't find anything on it, so hopefully I didn't just miss it...but hopefully there is an easy fix. And this has happened on the 2 different rom's I have tried...
That happens to mine also, but quite rarely. Quite often no music is found and the music player hangs while showing the album cover. After a reboot everything is fine again. I was hoping for the 1.66 rom...Anybody else?
GER 1.48 rom without branding
have the same problem, would really appreciate help
i've seen album no music found maybe three or four times, i found if you go into library, all songs tab, , set a song playing (which loads all songs into now playing), switch back to album view and the albums view repopulated itself.
I've been proud HD2 owner for about some time now and worked around it long enough to start asking questions ...
Anyway, I will start with only two involving Music Player and HTC Album (on home tabs).
1. Music Player: when scrolled via HomeTabs slider when on Music, player has read all of the audio files and I would like to get it to read only certain folders - how to do this? I know there may be only the way to exclude folders from being recognized as storing audio which is fine by me - just need to know how to set that up - so if anyone can assist in this I would appreciate much!!!
2. HTC Album - this one is not as urgent as it may be ROM bug: I keep taking pictures with my phone of course and HTC Album when accessed via Home Tabs Slider it shows 1/99, 5/99, etc - whichever pic I have on - it won't show more than 99 and I know Ihave over 180 pictures. How can I fix this so the Album reads correct number of pictures I have?
Thanks all for all the help!
bump.. any1?
not sure about the album bit mate, but as far as music goes i have a few games that have music and got into my player, so i used total commander to make the files i didnt want to appear hidden, hope this helps,
The Album Tab just cant show more than 99 Pics. In order to see more you need to go into album view. Theres no workaround for this, its simply a memory-saving-feature not to show all 1000 Pictures directly in the Tab.
sounds good...
Album is good to go - 99 pics don't bother me... Now music player - I still wonder how to do it - I do have Total Commander.
I have the T-Mobile USA HD2, latest stock ROM.
I really like the HTC music player that comes with it, due to that cool feature when turning the phone to landscape, the way that one can scroll through album covers.
The only problem--it somehow cannot see a lot of the cover art, and shows a default blank cover for many albums.
The cover art for those albums is there--for instance, if I play the same album in Windows Media Player or TCPMP, one sees the cover art. But the HTC Music Player shows that blank album cover for many albums.
I do the command of "Update Album Art", and it shows it is connecting to Gracenote, but that does not help.
Anyone here found a fix for the problem?
In doing a search on Google, I found a thread where the problem was discussed concerning a different HTC phone, I think an Android model. One poster found a solution to delete the database through Managed Programs, then reboot, which rebuilt the database. (Some others tried that, and it did not work though.) Anyhow, on the HD2, there is nothing in Managed Programs about deleting the database. Anyone know how to do it? Find the database file in File Manager and delete it that way?
Anyhow, if anyone has solved the problem on the HD2, please share your solution.
Hey Everyone
has any one come up with a fix to sort out the albums in Sence music players yet,in windows mobile it worked fine but in android it just get a bit anoying scrolling through when its seperated 1 album into like 5 parts.if anyone has a solution or a fix that would be great, dont really like using 3rd party music players
I believe most album display related problems can be reduced by correctly tagging the music collection.
