Real HBO + more = Free - Nexus One General

http://www.shadownet.info/channels/usa/hbo.html
You can also Google shadow.net and get the whole list of channels that are free and work with flash. I recommend that you download tv listings from the market and put in a east coast area code because almost all the American channels are on eastern time. I use 10001 and get the listings for time warner in southern Manhattan uncheck all then select the channels you want. this is the real deal HBO so you can watch boxing and NFL programs (documentaries).

thanx man. I was a bit suprised because I clicked the link and first thing I see is porn and I'm like wtf so I go to HBO on my tv and see it was "Real Sex" lol but other than that it works thanx good find

is there one for showtime? NEED DEXTER!

http://www.shadownet.ro/channels.php
This all the channels available free. All flash channels work on Nexus. Fx, TNT, USA, SPIKE, ABC, NBC, MTV, CNN and more. You can't beat free. Especially HBO.

Any way to get it to not open the channels in a small floating window? Full screen would rule.

Double tap my friend while in landscape or hit the fullscreen icon in player while in landscape. Once again you can't beat free.
What I did was create a bookmark for each channel and put them in a folder with each individual channel named. I go straight to the channel I want from my homescreen.

There's another link someone posted awhile back. Any additional links that work with live tv for flash please post here. Maybe the moderator can fix this thread to be more advantageous to all.

Good find. ESPN would make it ultimate.

My bad I should of said they added ESPN 2.

even better when I don't have cable at my apartment. Yay for having an HTPC!

Espn 2 and hbo movies link.

One new and the other just in case the other ESPN 2 stops working.

Heres link for Fox News + History Channel + More

They added Showtime. It's down now, but it will be back up soon I'm sure. They switched HBO to windows media player. I wish there was a way we could import a windows media plugin in our browser. Skyfire does for Windows not so for Android.

(Couldn't resist) This app works GREAT!!! I have had reminders comming in every night this week, I have only had it since earlier this week, so I can't say anything on the 'reminder for every episode' part, but the reminders do come in via texting reliably enough. The only 'bug' I have noticed at this point is that the texts come in doubled, so I think this will only affect people that pay for texting. I would suggest unlimited texting and data for this app.
OK, I'm downloading this and will see if I miss American idol.... Just kidding! My wife makes me watch it! Wait, I guess I watch it anyway. I'm a Sap!

clear channel radio station player?

i'm looking for an application that can play streams of radio stations that clear channel runs. currently, they have the iheart radio app for iphone and blackberry, but nothing for windows mobile. i'm hoping that somebody can change this, or find a workaround to enable streaming on applications such as spb radio.
Kinoma Play has Clear Channel stations. Just go to Guide/Radio/Clear Channel.
However, as someone who worked for Clear Channel for many years, I strongly urge you not to support them.

Police Scanner for Win Mo?

Ive seen it for both the droid and the (stupid POS) iphone, theres gotta be a scanner for windows mobile, anyone seen anything?
you mean something like trapster? http://www.trapster.com/
Jeyo Wunder Radio aggregates scanner feeds from ScanAmerica.us., RadioTime and others.
I myself bypassed the third party applications and copied the asx files to the respective internet streams I wished to listen in on. . .and execute them with the appropriate media player.
Whenever I want to listen to the police feed for example, I simply click on a shortcut in my start menu and within seconds - I'm tuned in.
I had to do this since my towns radio system switched over to digital and apco25 scanners are a bit on the expensive side right now. . .hope it helps.
Scan America is great. That's what I use. Do what surroundedbydrones said and just save the asx files to your device.
How do you save the asx files? When I go to scan america it's an MP3 file that will not download because it's being streamed live. Therefore, I cannot listen to the feeds...
Maybe they changed something. You need to do it from your phone fyi. MP3 isn't a streaming format though so...
Police App for hd2
im STILL looking 4 an app for police scanning in Tucson, Arizona as well ......

I have been trying this out. It is great. Really good site. Let's you have several methods to streaming the audio live.
I recommend this for anyone looking for a scanner concept. Until there is an app for this out there for your phone's model in particular, this seems to be the best way to go. If you are having trouble accessing streams with your browser on your phone, just try using Skyfire browser. It is the best to view tricky sites.
If you can get a .pls or .m3u for your local PD/FD/EMS, you can stream it in coreplayer. If you got coreplayer, try this file Ive attached. Its for the Massachusetts State Police. I listen to this when I drive to work so I know where they at lol.

Police Scanning on TP2/WinMo
Great thread with cool tips- I have been listening to Seattle Police on my TP2 for months just using IE. To find the feed, I just did a search on Seattle Police Scanner and came up with a link to a local TV/Radio station that streams live emergency frequencies. My suggestion, if you are unable to find the feed on the site listed in the previous posts, is to do a google search for "city/state police scanner" or similar search terms.

XITruthiX, use Seattle Rat's method and grab the mms://, rtsp:// or http:// address from your cities website and plug it into either core player or the streaming media app. For instance, mms://video.whdh.com/live is for my local news in Boston,MA. I stream it in Streaming Media.
Nevermind.. already answered.
I saved the .m3u shortcuts as above, installed GSPlayer, associated the m3u files with GSPlayer, created a shortcut and it works great as a single click option without using an Internet Browser.

Slingplayer officially in market!!!

Slinglplayer for Android is in the market people!! Just downloaded it!!!
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
ok finally got this loaded up. i have to say i am extremely disappointed with this software. compared to the ipod/iphone and even windows mobile this software ****ing blows. how the hell can you not have a favorites option anymore? that is probably the most important option to have in my opinion and its gone. no more channel logos to click on and go immediately to that channel who in their right mind would get rid of this feature. if its there, i can't find it anywhere and i've read the entire help file. the software is just so much worse i can't believe they call this an improvement. soooooo disappointed and yes i had to pay these ****suckers another $30 license.
anyone find out if the HDMI output works with this? it better...
from JAPAN
I can not find in market,
anyway I can search it from JAPAN?
You can just get a refund in the marketplace for it

I set up my main slingplayer from my laptop. From there I set up my favorites. Once you log into your account and select your Slingbox, all your favorites transfer over. Mine did when I went from WinMo to iPhone, and now iPhone to Android.
Just ordered me a Slingbox from Amazon, this is gonna be awesome! Goodbye Sprint TV LOL
The video quality on this thing beats the iPhone version by FAR.

Do you actually have favorites on android cause this makes no sense.
From what I'm reading everywhere is u have to set up your favs on your laptop or pc and they will transfer over to the android app. I'm at work so I haven't even hooked up my slingplayer yet. How does that work? I already bought the app, I know in Windows u had to put in a key but how does it work with android will it automatically connect to my slingbox since I already have an acct set up?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Thats what i mean they transferred over from winmo to my ipod. But i got nothing in android. Minimally you should see a favorites button or something and nothing is there and its not mentioned in the help file.
furthermore, i just setup and saved favorites on my laptop for the PC slingplayer. saved the favorites to my account, logged out....still have nothing in android.
does anyone actually have FAVORITES in android slingplayer?

It probably will, they just don't officially support it. I bought a Slingbox AV on Woot for around $50-$60 many years ago and it just keeps finding new ways to be useful.
My Slingbox AV works perfectly with this app, huzzah for cable on the go!
Does anyone have the Pro-HD model? Are you able to get HD to your evo over just the 3g network? Theres no 4g in AZ right now so I'm contemplating on which slingbox to get.

When I loaded this up for the first time, I signed into my account and picked my Slingbox. Soon as the video loaded up, I tapped the screen, which brought up a huge grid view with various buttons, one is labeled Favorites. Upon clicked said button, it changes my channels to the favorites I have picked out and have had picked out back on my iPhone.
It will not bring up a seperate window listing them. If I want to add more favorites, I have to load up my desktop version, and choose them there. My desktop version (2.0.4.521) had a dropdown box with the guide. Its got a catagory labeled Mobile Favorites. The ones I chose there, are the channels that my Slingplayer for Android changes channels to when I press the favorites button on my phone..
I dont know how else to explain it lol
Any way around the $ 30 charge? I have 3 winmo licenses and would irritate me to purchase this again. Anyone have the apk?
Anyone knows whats the best Slingbox to purchase? I'm looking at the prices and I don't think 150 for Slingbox Solo + 30 for the App is a good deal for watching tv in my phone. :/
I don't see it in the market. I'm rooted and i'm running the stock rooted rom. I can download signed apps like google goggles and everything else but slingplayer is not showing. Also i just found out you have to have sling box so i may pass on this.

Let's discuss Addons

So with the FireTV becoming quite popular and everyone modding & customizing them left and right.
Curious to see what some of you guys have done in regards to Addons for Videos etc.. I've had a Apple TV before but kept the XBMC install quite basic and basically just used 1channel and sometimes IceFilms if I was encountering errors.
Over the last couple of weeks I've setup 2 FireTVs and gone a bit further into customizing it. I've loaded on the usual IceFilms,1channel, SportsDevil, NaviX, XBMC Addon Installer. Also, loaded up XBMC Tweaks for FTV that gives me keyMap3, sleep mode on XBMC, installed time changer to reflect the right time on XBMC as FTV is not officially out yet where I am. Also, using Xposed and rbox module to auto launch XBMC.
So, what are some other addons you guys recommend? Just looking for some unique ideas!
In addition to the ones you mentioned I use mashup, xbmctorrent and p2pstreams.
Droidmote is my favorite thing that I've installed recently. For the rare times that I need a mouse to tick a checkbox or click a button, I can just use my phone as a touchpad.

I have to check that out. I found an old wireless mouse I plugged into my Fire TV for now. I want to get something similar to the Flymote I use for the MX2 android box.
So I loaded on FTV Guide and I'm quite impressed with this addons it actually has tons of channels and most of them work.. however.
I am seeing that some channels I click on I can only choose the 'Remind' option and it doesn't actually load the channel.
Whats up with this? Can anyone let me know? Anything like SkyMoviesHD, Sky Sports, TBS etc.. just don't seem to actually do anything
I had the incompatible problem with almost EVERY addon when I recently did a fresh install of xbmc. I fixed it by doing a force refresh of the repository (use context menu on the enabled addon page and click refresh/update) . I waited about 10 mins, played some Quell and came back and then about 90% of the skins/addons are compatible now.
I tried mashup but most of the channels that loaded were SD and didn't work well. 1channel is great for movies/shows. Had almost everything I looked for it.
Anyone try Pluto.TV on the regular fire launcher? It is pretty awesome. It has about 50 channels of its own content. The guide looks very similar to something a cable company would put out and they have a good range of different genres
