Hey guys, appears that Android is aware of the Market issues an are working on a fix. So far I can now view paid for apps without seeing the error message. Be patient, we should know issues like his can happen, especially with a new OS
Yeah, Looks like the scrolling bar is back
i thought there was something wrong with my Xoom. cuz i saw notice this in the morning and i even did a reboot to see if it was gonna be fix. but sadly nothing happen. then out of the ble i got updates on other paid apps, that i could not find in the market. so i get updates on previoud paid apps, but can;t buy new once. but i now know it's a bug. hopefully it can be fix sooner then later.
Youtube app
I just bought a brand new Wi-fi Motorola Xoom. I went straight to Marketplace to download all the apps i wanted and for some reason I am not able to download the Youtube app. It goes into start downloading and then it just disappears and goes under "Not installed". Am I the only one or is the something I can do? I didn't want to factory reset yet until I know if I am the only one or not.
The youtube app in Market is for phones.
If you don't have Youtube on your Xoom, go to settings > Applications > Manage aplications > All and find Google Partner Setup, click Clear data and restart your Xoom.
Hi,
I'm running stock 4.3 on my Nexus 4 (unrooted). Recently I've been getting this "No Client" notification popup at the bottom of my screen, it's independent of the app or window I'm on. It's driving me mad, I really don't know what it is.
Can anyone help?
Anybody with any clues? Ideas about suspect Apps or settings?
its one of your apps, 100%.
How do I find out which app?
you can uninstall your apps, then install them one by one until you find the guilty app. or you can go through all your apps settings until you find it.

I'm thinking I should look for an app running in the background? Or can the popup/alert show up from any app? Oh boy, I have a lot of apps, it's gonna take a while!
This is driving me nuts..ive uninstalled/reinstalled most of my apps..and i still get this nagging popup!!
Do you use "Android Widget Pro" ?
Happens on my stock Nexus 5 as well.
Happening on my stock Nexus 7 2013 more and more frequently. Hopefully someone can identify the guilt app so I don't have to rebuild.
And no I don't use Android Widget Pro.
This has been bothering me for months. It has to be an app but I have no idea which one. I have over 200 apps installed so although the uninstall/reinstall idea would be effective, it is not practical for me. If the message was consistent maybe, but its not. Anyone with less apps installed want to try?
Same for me on my Nexus 4. Getting insane!!!

how about a screen shot of what you are seeing? I'm not getting the popup on my N4 or N7.

I am getting this with my Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. I wonder what causes this. It makes Android feel unpolished.
I have this on my XDA 1. As i don't have many apps I'll list them below and see if you notice any the same. hope this helps/works.

I unlocked my bootloader, rooted and installed CM. Installing my apps day by day and the stupid toast started appearing last night. I'll try to narrow down the app based on the time of install.
Right now I'm suspecting Pocket Casts.

Got the issue on my 2013 Nexus 7, unrooted. I'm not using Pocket Casts, using BeyondPod as a podcast client.
How about greader pro? I've been reading on another thread that turning location options off then on again in Google Settings sorts the problem.

No not using that app either. Mine is becoming more frequent, its annoying but not annoying enough to do a factory wipe. Hopefully someone will narrow down the issue to an app or setting soon!
Hi everybody, since I am on lollipop, there is this annoying lag when opening recent apps. I think everybody has this. In my case it takes between 3 to 5 secs until it opens. I can't stand that.
I already have chainfire s recent app installed but that doesn't work in my case.
My question is, if somebody has a fix or can give me a link to another Rom where the recent apps opens fast?
Help would be appreciated!
Regards
Latest Lollipop stock ROM and all before it, recent apps list opens instantly for me

So you say that you never had a lag on lollipop, when opening recent apps?
That's strange!
Am I the only person with this problem?

Never, I tested it last night by opening about 15 apps, then hitting the home button after opening each one, so they all ended up as recent apps - then once back on the home screen, I hit the recent apps button and in under half a second it opened fine, nice smooth scrolling between them
The only thing that takes a bit longer to open for me, is the gallery, which is about 1-2 seconds opening time instead of instant, probably because I have hundreds of images saved
I'm using NOVA Launcher Prime if that makes any difference, TouchWiz is a laggy POS anyway, first thing I disable
Thanks for the info, perhaps nova is the cause, I will try that
@"detection"
Can you tell me if the Samsung widgets work on nova? Especially weather and splanner widget?
I have most of the Samsung bloat disabled / frozen so can't test
But I would imagine so, give it a try, NOVA is free, but you can buy the Prime version if you want extras, but for general use, the free version does everything and more than stock TouchWiz, and is 10x faster
Hi all, I've just recently upgraded to the Nexus 6P from a Nexus 5.
I love the new phone, even though the larger size is still something I'm getting used to haha. Recently I've started noticing AdChoices everywhere I go in Chrome. While it's annoying having to scroll to get past them, i didn't really notice anything until I started getting hit by these full screen ads that sit on top of the page and block the content I'm trying to see. I also can't find a minimize or close button, the closest thing is the expand AdChoices arrow but it doesn't remove the ad.
I went back to my Nexus 5 and accessing the same page from Recent Tabs or History in Chrome does NOT show the AdChoices at all, not even the embedded ads that I need to scroll through. The Nexus 5 is still on Lollipop and rooted though, whereas the 6P is unrooted and up to date on updates.
So my question then is can I remove AdChoices from Android Chrome? Is this something that is native to Marshmallow? Is this perhaps because of an app that I installed? Also curious to know what other user's experiences are and how they combat this issue. Would rooting and AdAway solve this issue? I may reconsider rooting if that's the case.
Thanks all!

You can try Adguard. It doesn't require root and filters mostly all of the ads out.
Root and Adaway is what what I use and works great. Using January version now and although I don't use Chrome it pretty much squashes the ad problems on my device. Also if you root you can install busybox to system/xbin and use themes via layers manager and they work great on stock. No problems at all.

Thanks for the answers, I was so excited at the new phone that I started setting it up before I remembered that unlocking the bootloader wipes the phone, so I've been putting it off lol.
On a side note, does anyone know if this is just Google's path moving forward? Again I can live with the ads, but not when they block the page and I can't read the article even on reloading. That's just not okay...
I recently upgraded my phone (Verizon S10+ 128GB) to Android 10 with the OTA update. Since then it appears that i can't keep any apps running in the background. Before i could have a Pokemon go running, go to something else for at least an hour, and when I switched back to it was still running and i didn't need to reload it. Now I will open Pokemon Go, go to a different app and within 15 seconds i go back to Pokemon Go and it has to reload. I have even added Pokemon Go to run in the background and to the exception list under memory. Is anyone else noticing this very aggressive app killing since they have updated to Android 10? I have also noticed that while using Nova Launcher there will be times when the home screen has to completely reload. The icons will take a second to appear and another second for the widget to pop up as if Nova Launcher was reloaded. Does this have to do with the the phone killing all the apps in the background?
I am not rooted or anything. This is a completely stock phone.
That's odd, I am on AT&T and haven't noticed it. Of course I use the 3rd party app greenify as well. Maybe try a data factory reset or reflashing the Verizon firmware with Odin?

Don't think so. I am experiencing this issue as well and the "Don't Keep Activities" option is turned off, so it's not the developer options.
I believe it is directly tied to the OTA update to Android 10 Q. I didn't experience all this force closing of apps before the update on Android 9.
I am curious if I changed the battery mode from "Optimized" in the Phone Settings (Settings > Device care > battery > Power mode) to maybe High performance would it fix the issue? If so, then we have a problem as selecting anything from High performance would kill apps such as Nova Launcher, or if you're editing a document and need to copy and paste from another app it would kill the other app before you can go back to it. This puts your phone back to iPhone 3GS era, and we don't want that
Hope someone finds a solution.
I did a recovery Data Cache erase and that seems to have fixed it. Something must have happened during the OTA. I haven't had any complaints now.

I have a UK, EE locked 10+ and this used to happen to me when i was running a high RAM app (games basically).
I also believe it has been reduced (eliminated?) from the last large fw update my phone went through a week ago (the samsung UI update, sorry thats a bit vague - as opposed to a more recent 128MB security update).
So i'd guess this is not carrier specific and relates to the samsung fw?
Hope this helps.
I'm experiencing this, and I've been on 10 since beta2, but it just started happening today. Even apps that I "lock" are closing almost immediately.....
