Screen switching/choosing on 2.1 - Streak 5 General

Don't know if this already posted but a lot of people moaned that pressing the home button would not let you quick choose a home screen..if you just click the little dots that show you what screen your on at the bottom corners it comes up with all available screens and you just click the one you want...

Are you on 1.6? Currently on 2.1 and tapping the little buttons just moves To the next screen.
Good find though.

Yup! Try adw launcher, a million times better than the dell front end. I wish dell would leave the os stock

Agreed. ADW is excellent. A few small adjustments to show 6 or 7 rows of icons and you are rocking. ......

no i meant launch-x pro not launcher pro , i dont know how to use it lol and there is no youtube videos to learn. cuz some1 commented on the review saying adw launcher can do the same thing. so i dont know which to use or buy.
Maybe he meand i can do shortcuts for directcall also with adw.

Actually Launcher-X Pro is an app which helps to build multiple custom widgets and eep them in stoc for use on your Home Screen as standalone widgets as and when required according to your taste. Again each widget can be of single icon to 49 icons (7 icons in 7 pages). By icons I mean shortcuts to app contacts etc.
This is a versatile piece of software and really unique. There are lot op options available. Really good app. There is a trial version in maret which you can try before buying.
Thans
Partha
i prefer the ADW
Is this a real thread???
It would help if you could compare Widgets to a Launcher!!!
like Go Launcher Ex vs ADW Ex

Launch X Pro isn't a launcher/homescreen replacement, so you can't compare it to ADW launcher.
That's what the others are talking about. So no this isn't a thread that makes any sense.

There is a home launcher named launcher pro x or something like this I know what he's talking about I tried both and like adw better.

Default homescreen?

Hi, I recieved my streak yesterday, and I have a question:
Is there any way to choose which screen is the default homescreen?
Tried to search the forum but no result..
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Why don't you just move all the icons/wallpaper around where you want them
I hoped there was an easier way to do it, but I'll just have to do it the hard way..

That's a big negative ghostrider. You have use either ADW or launcher pro.
Thought so but sometimes people pull stuff out of their arses

The cyan dragon theme has a Rosie that gives the illusion of a five button rosie. But like other said having five buttons on sense not possible ...yet.

Yup, using ADW or LauncherPro (my personal choice).
Not not in the launcher but the browser, market, settings etc

overscroll glow is for gingerbread, not froyo. I would like this too, as well as CRT power off animation.
