Swype blocks the text box in Talk sometimes. - Vibrant General

Has anyone else ever seen this? Start writing a lengthy message in Talk, then go do something else without sending the message. (I was playing a game of Wordfeud.) Then come back to Talk and try to resume your message.
The attached photo is what I get. The only way I can get it to start typing at the end of my message is to open the hidden Swype editing keyboard (swipe from the Swype key to the SYM key) and press the down arrow until I'm at the bottom of the text box.
I can work around the issue, but it's kind of annoying. Just thought I'd share the issue and the work-around. Maybe you guys have a better solution.

I mostly get it in larger edit boxes, most annoyingly when it came up and covered the xda app's password box, I touch the keyboard, instead I submit an empty password... Still registered behind the keyboard.
Must have missed the swipe from swype key to SYM key, most excellent, thanks!
Sent from my Vibrant.

if that's the same issue I've experienced with a misaligned swype box I've found the easiest fix is to tap the back button, which usually just exits swype on the first tap. then you can click into the text field and get realigned

Soft Keyboard problem: very nagging

Hi,
I have noticed that in the normal mode when you activate the keyboard to enter a string in a textbox of a program, it works okay, but there is no way to collapse the keyboard back.
The result is that very often, the "OK" or "CANCEL" buttons in the program are at the bottom (not the soft key options) are overlapped by this soft keyboard. I have tried clicking in some blank space to get rid of the keyboard but it stays there.
The only way is to tap to another tab which collapses the keyboard.
Has someone found any solution to this ? (Qtek 9100, original rom)
One more problem: Even when I set the clock to 12hr format, it doesnt know the AM, PM on the title bar. Is there any registry hack to do this. I know the one for modifying the short date format.
Short Date Format to show "Mon/2" (example):
HKLM\nls\overrides\SSDte = "ddd/d "
Can somebody help me with these issues
Thanks
Anup

move to next word in T9 Mode

Hi folks,
On my HD, when I'm in T9 mode, I have arrows keys that I can use to get to the next word on the screen when there is a list of possible words (a bit like the * key used to be on Nokias to scroll through the list of possible words).
So, in the screen shot below I've type PURPOSE...but the same keys are used to type SUPPOSE. To get to the word SUPPOSE, I just press the right arrow key and I can scroll through the list of words

The keyboard on my girlfriends Jade doesn't have any arrow keys, so how does she move to the next word?
thanks

Disable xt9 toggle on keyboard?

is there a way to disable only the toggle button on the default keyboard?
coz i see when i enter to fields like in a search box, the xt9 button is grayed out. like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
but when i enter into sms editor it turns on again like this:
i want it to be like in the 1st one when i use the keyboard. i dont have very much use of xt9 here in my country and it only gets in my way when im speed typing by accidentally pressing it when im pressing the 'a' key
is there a reg tweak to make the layout or mode of the keyboard to be all the same wherever?
i too am looking for such a tweak.can anyone shed some light on this query?
i want the same thing. can anybody give us some tips. pls
+ 1. Im sure this can be realised by some registry modification. Any one can help with this?
Ok i looking arround and i found a way to fix this. XT9 switch key on keyboard looks the same, but if will be swithed to XT9 possition XT9 not working, but unfortunely letters don't appear. Only in ABC possition writing is possible.
Only what need to do is run Registry Editor (i use this dedicated to Resco File Manager) and search "Tegic". If you find it delete it. After that restart is needed.

HTC messaging typing space

I posted about this forever ago in the Rhodium forum. Never got an answer or any replies, no +1's, nothing.....
Now we have a couple hd2's and so i bring it to leo forum attention:
is a way to cut down the space in the typing area. See screen shot. Any ideas how to edit this?

Looking at your screen pic, you are pressing return/enter key after you type each word. (key near bottom right).
Yeah no kidding. That was to show my point. Take out all those words and the typing space remains as big as it is there in that screen shot. Its like they set the typing space to 5 or 6 lines before it expands, when it should be set to 1 typing line and expand as needed.
If I remember right, the tilt2 or the fuze this was a reverse problem, meaning there werent enough lines, and someone found that I think it was in the .css file there was a setting to change to make the box bigger, maybe its the same setting. I dont have the time right now, but I'll look later, but do a search in google for htc sms box enlarge setting, if you have trouble finding it, I'll see later and post a link.

Edit Search History Entries - Feature missing form Android OS

I have found a little unconvenient thing on Android. Do you like to use virtual keyboard? I hate it. I'm blind writer on my laptop qwerty keyboard but the flat screen kb is minus 10 years.
The situation worst when you have to type words twice or more. Especially when you are searching something but you mess up one caracter.

In the search history you can see your previous (messed up) word but there is no possibility to edit them because when you click on it, your browser start to search it again.
On a desktop browser you can modify anithing in the borwser (or search) history list. Android should have this feature as well.
My theory solution is:
When you press and hold your tap on the search history item, the string moves to the search bar and you are able to modify it. And a simple click just search it just before.
Am I the only one who miss this?
I agree, I have this problem on market. Even if there is what you want on the search history with a small mistake or 2 words with no space, you cant edit it. Its realy annoing.
