After some hassles, finally I have a rooted NST, and figured out how to add apps using adb wireless. All works well, but I have two minor problems:
The first is I have much difficulty scrolling through my apps. When I try to scroll, usually the screen blurs and stays with showing the same apps. Sometimes when this happens, a duplicate image of an app on the app page appears on the you tube page.
Why is scrolling through apps so difficult - sometimes it's ok but usually it is not? What is the best method for scrolling right or left on the app page?
The second problem is that of duplicates of apps on my you tube screen after trying to scroll - I'd like to delete them from this screen and leave a pristine you tube page, or at least replace a few with selected apps - right now I have several duplicates of the market app on this page. How to do this?
You have to flick faster to change launcher screens. Flicking slightly only scrolls the screen to the right or the left.
Hold down the app icon and then select remove, or drag to move it to other launcher screens.
tehriddler,
Thanks. I'll use these techniques to work faster with the Nook.
Anyone else having an issue with force closing when using multi-window and the phone goes to full screen. Then I try to peek at the notifications. Boom force close.

No issue bringing up YouTube and Chrome multiwindow, closing YouTube leaving just Chrome full window and can pull down notification bar. When in doubt go back to stock.
This is very very frustrating. The apps page shows apps that would work correctly in full screen, as well as those that don't. I have not changed the system settings. However, let's say on an app like snapchat, i don't see a full screen. Along the bottom of the page are the snap camera circle and news button. Even when I'm reading the news. I can't scroll completely down because of this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the problem is solved for about 5 minutes before it goes back. I've also looked for a setting on snapchat that would change this and there isn't one. Please help!
Maybe some apps Don't support full screen
Is there a way by which apps such as dialer, messenger, YouTube and some other selected apps can open with loading as instantly as they would when they were in recents tabs without being there. That means I want them to stay awake but still not be available in the recents tabs.
Thanks and by this I want to prevent the slow loading of certain apps for example when u open dialer first there would be a white screen then a top search bar and then finally all content, although it's is there for a fraction of second but I still hate it.
Edit: figured it out.
I downloaded a bunch of apps last night that required screen overlay (draw over other apps) permission to operate. I uninstalled all of them, but now when I scroll horizontally on my home screen of Nova launcher, this white transparent overlay pops up on my screen except over the status bar. It’s most apparent when reaching the far edges with infinite scroll turned off, where I can hold it in place. I have a screenshot, but I can’t post it yet. It’s on the Lgv20 subreddit though. It also flashes intermittently when I swipe anywhere horizontally. Swiping vertically to open app drawer doesn’t seem to trigger it. It disappears when I’m not touching the screen.
I had Flynx, Amaze browser, Flyperlink, chromer, Link bubble brave (from apks), Trine browser, Hermit, and swipe for facebook downloaded. I’ve since removed them but it’s still there. I’ve tried restarting a few times and ran the smart cleaning. I’ve also tried redownloading the apps, clearing data, force stopping, then uninstalling, but no dice. I’ve gone to the Special access>Draw over other apps section and disabled all third party apps I’ve ever downloaded, and I’ve also restarted Nova a few times. This hasn’t accomplished anything, either.
Other screen overlay apps I have installed include Simple Pie, Status, Directchat Pro, Lastpass, Airdroid, and Screen Filter, but these haven’t caused problems before.
Help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. The flickering is driving me nuts!!

Go into safe mode and see if it still happens. If not, you missed something.

Thanks for the reply. The effect doesn’t occur on LG’s default launchers, even outside of safe mode. Or at least I couldn’t get it to trigger. This is why I suspect this might have something to do with Nova, but I wasn’t sure. I’ll try reinstalling instead of just restarting. I rebooted into safe mode, and the effect wasn’t present, but I couldn’t test Nova.
figured it out. sometime in the process of installing/uninstalling apps and fiddling with the settings of the apps (some of which added icons to the home screen which was locked), some of my nova settings were altered. One setting I saw was that infinity scroll was turned on even though it supposedly isn’t compatible with the nova google now companion. Probably why it was glitching a ton and caused chromer to crash repeatedly when opening links from there (unsure). Some animations were also changed for some reason. I reloaded a nova backup I had and all was well.
