I want to buy Bluetooth receiver for my car that I will plug into the the AUX input to listen to music, something like Jabra A120s, google it.
Thing is the car already has bluetooth handsfree setup which I actively use (but it doesn't support AD2P).
Would this setup work for me?
It should work. My Toyota is a hands free profile device and I also have a Samsung headset that operates in A2DP mode. The only thing I have to be careful with is to disable hands free mode from the Samsung configuration in Android. If I don't the car and the headset constantly knock each other off and it can be a real pain to stop the tug of war short of turning something off.

I have a car bluetooth device and a bluetooth headset. Both of them register as Hands Free device on my 8525. When I get in the car, I need to use Setting/Connection/Bluetooth to set the car device as hands free and when getting off the car, set the headset as the hands free device. Is there any way such that it knows when the car device is connected, it automatically uses that one and when the car device is not connected, switch to BT headset without manual intervention?
Thx.
I would want/need an application w/c has a profile capability that will allow audios(call, microphone, mp3) to be redirected to both the wired earphone and at the same time spearphone or the phone itself, while the wired earphone is still plugged in. The audio needs to come out or the sound should come out on both the wired earphone and phone or speakerphone. I need this while driving and my wife needs to hear the message from the party being called or called upon. Or if I'm listening to a good music on my wired headset only, but later on would like to share it to everybody while driving again. I need to be able to toggle it easily. I've seen phoneweaver and phonealarm but these two does not fit the need describe above. If there is none existing, can somebody create this very simple app for my need? I'm willing to donate if ever. Btw, my unit is an O2 Xda Atom and I got this idea from the build in FM radio build in application that has this button w/c allows audio on both wired headset and phone. It does not work on calls and turning the radio always on drains the battery. And the wired headset acts as the antenna. Thanks in advance.
I paired the head set both as a wireless stereo and as hand free and it works good except 1 thing:
while I press the button on the headset to make a voice call with voice tag (which works perfectly for me with others simple headsets) ,I can't hear the beep telling me to say the tag and also i can't hear the confirmation of the tag I said.
The system IS working and the phone dials what I said, but i can't confirm while the pda is not in front of me
If I disable the "wireless stereo", I can hear the beep and the confirmation.
Does anyone know someting ?
Besides this the sound of the headset is amazing
Voicecall
Yes, I experienced the same thing with my WE-COM (cheap ) stereo bluetooth headset. If i want to make the headset activate the voicecall i have to first turn off the wireless stereo in the bluetooth connection screen. So, i leave the wireless stereo turned off most of the time. Only when i want to sit back and enjoy wireless stereo music or watch a movie using bluetooth, i turn on the wireless stereo.
I wish it can be automatic but i can't find any other ways other than manually turning the wireless stereo off and on acording to my needs.
Since my bluetooth is inexpensive, I am happy that both the wireless function and the phone function works. The shop person who sold me the bluetooth didn't know how to get the phone function of the headset to work with my u1000 at first. I had to fiddle with the pairing and setting up for quite a while at his shop. Suddenly it hit me that the pda was confused about the headset having 2 different functions and it doesn't know how to automatically switch between the 2 functions by itself. So i just have to use the bluetooth setup screen to command the pda to respond to just one of the function at a time. And it worked! So i bought the headset. And the shop was happy to make his sale.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but i had a look and couldn't find what i'm after.
Basically, my HD2 connects automatically to my car's bluetooth handsfree kit. My handsfree kit doesn't support A2DP so I still need to use the headphone socket to listen to music from the phone through the stereo. However, if the phone has paired with the car, the headphone socket doesn't work and the stereo thinks I'm getting a call when i try and play music.
Is there any way I can enable music through the headphone socket while the phone is paired to the handsfree kit?
Thanks!
anyone? it's really annoying!
This may not be the answer your looking for but have you tried cutting out the middle man i.e. the BT handsfree kit. Just use your phone and it'll patch a call thru the headphones and cancel the music.
Saves removing the headphones each time you get a call.
In BT manager, when you select your car device, what services do you have? If there's a stereo one, untick it.
Nope, just the headset profile. I've also tried turning on/off the option to send system sounds over bluetooth, but no joy. It just seems that as soon as it connects to the car, the headphone socket is disabled.....
OK, so I think the problem was either the tape adapter I was trying to use was playing up or during my messing about with settings I changed something.... either way it appears to be ok with headphones so should be fine with a line in
Hi guys!
So, the Xperia support A2DP just fine, also in combination with my car stereo (a Pioneer Avic D3BT set). However, I find that when I start playing audio (doesn't matter if this is music or satnav guidance) before I start the car (and hence the stereo set), not only will the audio not be re-routed to the stereo, but the phone also fails to connect with the A2DP part. Phone audio (headset profile) is connected OK, though.
Is this normal behaviour/has anyone seen the same behaviour?
Oh, and if anyone has a way of transferring contact to the phonebook of the car, I'd be delighted to hear about it. For me, it will immediately disconnect if I even attempt to transfer a phonebook item.
Hey Stampot. I have a Pioneer BROWSE system(BTB200) and I have the same problem. I find if I activate the phone bt after the car is on, A2DP connects fine. But if I do it the other way around,I only get phone audio. To fix I either have to disable/enable the phone bt or (the faster way) toggle the a2dp option. I'm hoping a de/firmware upgrades fixes the prob.

Its works better when u start the car first and that should not be a problem, shouldn't????
Its the same with every Bluetooth Headset. U can do it with the other way, but u must choose the Audioconnection in the Bluetoothsettings manually.
