Somehow my FM Radio disappeared...
Have the Original Rom with WM 6.5.3 with panels etc. removed.
Have made the suggestions from this Forum with SK-Tools etc. to speed up phone.
And now the FM Radio has gone to hell??!
Tried Power Radio tool, but it says no FM hardware found. On X1 it should be working.
If you removed SlideView it's gone.
It's not a standalone app.
Thanks god i saved the slideview folder and simply copying it back makes the radio work again.
Poor that i had to use the ****ty slideview again just for using a radio on the x2
Thanks for your reply!!

No prob.
BTW I love SlideView
It is not necessary to use SlideView radio now, there is development of standalone FM radio for our phones:

The program is in beta stage, but working well. You can download and help testing it, If you now Russian language.
Could upload it here?, I have no Russian keyboard to log into the site.

The Problem i have with slideview is that watching pictures is terrible slow and of poor quality. try XnView pocket... this proggy rocks even on slow machines like the x2. And also the video an musik player is not the best tool around. The core player is much better in my opinion

OK, guys. Here is x2fm 1.01: View attachment x2fm.zip

Hi,
This is seems to be the last version of our magic tool - Screen Rotation Service (or SRS). It includes Second Edition's Today Theme (menu & today scrollers support in landscape) and feature to automatically resize your today screen for Landscape Theme!
(Download it here: setup.armv4.exe)
During installation you will need to answer "Yes" to this message:
Code:
The file"\Windows\ace_ddi.dll" is hidden, read-only, or a system file. Would you like to replace the existing file?
After installation you need to go to: [Start menu] - [Settings] - [Today] and select "WMSE" theme from the list
And one more, minimize (X) your programs before switching
Thanx to abc and everyone here!
Re: SRS HE = Halloween Edition
Feel free to post your feedback/questions on this version of SRS to this thread
More recommendations that i remember about SRS:
1) Do not soft-reset your device when in landscape-mode
2) Minimize (X) your programs when switching between different modes
To install SRS-HE:
1] Download SRS-HE to your PC
2] Run it to get "setup.armv4.cab"
3] Copy this file to your PDA
4] Tap on it to install SRS-HE
5] Soft-reset your device
6] Go to [Start Menu] -> [Settings] -> [Today]
7] Select "Wmse" Theme from the list
8] Use [Start Menu]->[Settings]->[SRS] to switch the modes

No it is installable on any Himalaya device with any combinations of ROM, radio and ExtROMs
If it doesn't run at your specific system, you can always uninstall it without any damage. It really worth to try!
Yeah, I have ROM 1.60 (latest O2 UK rom) and it didn't work very well at all. Half the OS had problems, including the camera (even v2.5), the Today screen and many of the Control Panel applets.
I've seen reports on this site of people having fewer problems with ROM 1.66, but I don't think anybody has claimed that they've got it working with ROM 1.60 without problems.
Still, I'm hoping O2 UK are going to release 1.72 tomorrow!

Where did you get such ROM version? And why you are not moving to 1.72? It doesn't really matter who the supplier of the ExtRom is (imate, qtec, tmob...) it is a matter of OS rom content. So, just update your device and receive a set of 1.72 advantages (faster BT binding, greater performance, no good CT and so on)

Everything seems to work fine...
But now it's very important to have phone app, calc app, WMP and cam app setted to run in landscape mode.

I got the update from my service provider: O2 in the UK. It's the latest version available, at the moment. I don't need all the hassle of messing about with ROMs from other countries and providers. I'll wait until the next ROM is released by O2 for me. (Tomorrow.)

I have a sugestion for all of ya, I have SRS instaled on my mda II, and I like it, but don't ever set an alarm in landscape mode, my MDA was playing the stupid melody for quite a long before it stoped.
The reason is that there were no snoose an dismiss button.

I have played with the trinity 1 day(also have a jamin) and a few thoughts
No fingerprint problem in the white version at least(think how hard it is to keep a black car looking good--but easier with a white)
Boot up speed very fast--45 sec or better
Bluetooth music--you will need all the tweaks of the prophet/hermes but if done it sounds good. No skipping with iplay/ R35
3G works even with my old ATT sim card(very fast download speeds- 5 x edge). Able to stream Sirius on the high bitrate setting! Can receive voice call while getting data!
Not unstable--put pocketweather, weatherpanel, ip dashboard, pocket plus, chronos--no probs
Camera-better with low light conditions
Speed-overall better
Speaker/ringtone--louder
Downside-None yet
I still cant believe it....
Got my Trinity one week now and its really the best Gadget I ever had. There is simply nothing wrong with it. Everything works. Fantastic.

Dude! Do you have the same sluggishness with the dutch P3600 (maybe WWE has it also)... i really think it's horribly slow sometimes; slow menu popups, unbearable scrolling-speed, etc. It seems to consume lots of RAM compared to WM2003SE on Jam when running.
Nice review btw !
Do you have any good tips in the field of registry-hacks 'n stuff ? Like making it possible to map more buttons ?
I've read somewhere here that there's a lot of tweaks for Bluetooth stereo on the TyTN and the S200...what would those be, and can someone explain some more about that ? (i'm having trouble connecting it for the first time, and some dropouts sometimes... will resume music after phonecall though )

When a lot of programs are open it slow down a bit, but not that much. The reaction time of menus is slower then mine Qtek s100. I don't know if it is a WM5 issue or the device. Emulators like Scumm and Dosbox feel definitely faster.
I also made some registry and Windows Mobiles hacks.
I mapped the speech recognition button to the CommManager and the voice recorder is the speech recognition button.
I added the US/WWE softkeyboard to the device. The Dutch keyboard is missing the question-mark and exclamation-mark when showing large keys.
I now have the WWE keyboard which is definitely better.
Maybe I try to create a new thread with some registry hacks next week.
At this moment I try to buy a Nokia HS-12W headset, I hope it is compatible with the HTC P3600.
Just curious, how did you add the US/WWE keyboard?

I extracted a HTC Wizard (WWE) rom to my PC.
I copied the following files to my device:
msim.96.dll
msim.dll
After placing the files you need to add the next registry key:
Code:

"ShiftLock"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSIPInputMethod]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\DefaultIcon]

There is only a problem with setting it as default input methode.

This the radio cab from the Touch Diamond/Pro. It works perfectly fine with the only exception it doesn't fill the very bottom part of the screen... which to be honest looks ok anyway.
Thanks - alredy tried that, but I thought the Touch HD radio cab was out there somewhere? Would be nice to make use of that remaining space on the screen.

The cab seems to be gone from that post. Can someone point me to where it is? Thanks!
If you guys want a radio app, wouldn't you be better using Pubba's Panel Installer? IMO the X1 app is much better than the CAB kindly posted at the start of this thread.
Good point. I will try both. The touch HD app looks better, but you are right, the panel is probably more functional.
eh? the HD can store 20 stations while the original X1's can only store 6, how can the original be more functional then?
and the app has scrolling rds and can run in the background apparently
Hi, this is the famous Samsung Midomi music identification application for the Windows Mobile devices! You're probably wondering why I've re?!? posted this. Then again, those of you who know me know I don't just repackage and repost things. And you're right, I didn't.
I loved the one I found posted by Ikkari but it had two problems. The first was the fact that the default internet connection was via WAP, for which Ikkari posted a registry solution to and shiranmotha repackaged and posted. So credit to both of these people for providing the packages they did.
Unfortunately that left one annoying (and ultimately grating) issue for someone like myself. The menu didn't work. In fact if you accidentally clicked it, the whole program froze. Well, not anymore. As a sidenote, I also made this install under program files (either on the device or the storage card as you so choose) because I personally don't think something like this belongs in the \Windows directory And even though the menu is fully functional and you can choose ANY connection you desire I did default it to use the device's Internet (GSM/CDMA) connection.
Enjoy!
Don't forget, if you enjoy my work, please

P.S. Please be aware that at the time of this posting this has only been tested on an HTC Rhodium based device (WVGA). It likely works on many others, if you find it works on yours please be kind enough to mention it so others will know.
P.P.S. Please feel free to propagate this file to other free download sites and post the URL in this thread. Cheers!
does it works using a Wifi connection?
And on a VGA screen?
EDIT:
Tested!!
It works perfect!

You are a legend, looking forward to checking out the menu of this. I though the development of this was forgotten once it was made to work.
The app itself is golden on a TP2, i tested a previous version with a success rate of 10 out of 11 (not bad!).
I have tried it in several stores to id a song playing and it worked every time - awesome and real handy...!
Be mindfull of the additional lyric look-up as this can kick your data use in the pants real fast. I ran a test on lyrics for a Bowie song and checked my provider's stats, i was surprised to see a use of over 3mb....
But for pure song ID it is a star!
Now all we need ported is Samsungs 3d audio processor app, this is apparently better than SRS WOW HD (which is great, but sadly does not work on a TP2 - makes your phone go into fatal standby....)
Cheers

Thank you
using diamond (CDMA) on sprint. So far so good. Thanks much. (that non-functional menu button drove me nuts to no end). thank you
Great!! Downloading now to test ASAP!!!
Works great so far... Thanks & Great job!
After trying Midomi and comparing it with MusicID, Midomi definitely feels more accurate and faster. I haven't tried the sing search feature yet, but it looks very nifty.
Please, please, please!!!
Is there a QVGA version of this...????
Thank you very much for this corrected version... works perfectly on ma german X1 (WVGA)...
Chris
Edit: Why didn't you post this under "Development and Hacking"? I think that topic would fit better =)
Anyone try this out on a Titan yet? I know a couple Titan users having issues with this app.
P.S. Works GREAT on my i910 Omnia!!!!!
Thanks your the best
Perfect!
Thanks!
For WM6.5 users, here some PNG for StartMenu icons:
I've successfully installed it but haven't yet played around with it much on my Wizard (QVGA). Visually its working perfectly. Have to test it with a couple songs to see how it compares to MusicID.
Thank you very much =)

Sprint Vogue
NFSFAN V16 ROM
Good: Visually, everything fits and looks great.
Bad: Does not recognize anything. Set to internet connection, I can see the data arrows (showing that it is connecting) but the end result is no songs found. Why? Beats me...
I would like to know if there is a registry edit that can make it open the default htc youtube application on the phone also? That would be perfect instead of going through internet explorer.
