Hi,
on 2,1 i used wunderradio. I really like this app. It shows you a lot of radio stations to listen to. TuneWiki is also great, but now on Froyo both don't seem to work.
I can't stream anything anymore.
Is this a known issue ?
i have same problem!
will try opendesire 1.5 and see if its the same
i oinly use tunewiki though
I have the same problem with a streaming radio.
It seems to mix the cache in some way and play two different songs.
Bandit Rock app btw
hey, i use the official 2.2 rom and the app radiotime and wunderradio and have no problems ;-)

Hi same here no problems
here it is:
http://techfrom10.com/2011/04/the-android-test-market/
works like a charm on Cyanogenmod 7 RC4, even lockscreen commands, replaced old music.apk with new one in system/app (s-off or via adb)
enjoy!
cheers
I agree it works great - a big improvement from the previous leak.
This is also being covered in the general Android Apps and Games forum:

Larger than Winamp (7MB as opposed to 3MB once installed)
How did you get the lockscreen commands working? I had nothing. I'd maybe use it then as it does look nice, but Winamp has a better widget, plus lock screen.
It is force closing on my desire using gingervillian... any ideas?
it is working on my Viewpad 10s not optimal but useble..
Mine keeps saying "application not installed". I'm using oxygen 2.0.3. Any ideas?
I cant get it to install. I says application not installed everytime. I read somewhere that i has to do with the fact that i installed the older leaked version. How do i remove the old version completely?

Maybe someone can make a flashable zip of it?

Yes. That would be nice.
Not good... tried a few things.. looks ok .. uninstalled
buggy on oxygen 2.0.3
I really liked the interface though it is quite minimal so it's a shame that:
interface is slow to load and lags (not just on first load)
scrobbling gets very confused (last.fm doesn't know what to do and flashes scrobbling notification repeatedly).
uninstalled.
edit
downloaded a different version from some forum after reading an article about syncing music with latest music app. seemed to work very smoothly indeed.
I installed the one from here: Official Android Music 3.0 Beta! Get It Now!.
It works fine with the MIUI 1.4.8. But I'm missing some features like sleep timer, editing ID3-Tags. But I like the interface.
Is there a way of making this the default music app and having it work with the HTC Lockscreen? I Like it other than that.
I don't like it at all. It looks quite cheap compared to the older version... and compared to other players, including the stock HTC music player. Also, why so laggy?
thanks for this...
gooooooooood

First, we need to stop the phone reboot to see what's causing it and so you can send me debug logs:
- Remove the app and re-install it so we can start fresh.
- Start the app. You should see an SU request. Select "Allow". If you get to the introduction screen, press the Back key so the app doesn't try to start. If the app crashes before the Intro screen, re-install the app and try again using "Deny" for SU.
- Now, select Menu->Settings->Debug. Set FM Chip to "Emulator (Test)". Set FM API to "Low Level". Set BC 4330/20780 to Enable.
- Hit Back and go into the Audio config. Set Method to "None" at the bottom. Hit Back twice to return to the App. Now press the Power button to start the FM.
- Hopefully there will be no crash at this point and you will see RSSI 44 at upper left. Select Menu->Settings->Debug and set FM Chip to "Broadcom". Restart/power cycle the app and hopefully we will see something good with no crash. The app will likely need SU to work.
Now set Audio->Method to "qdsp5v2 Analog" near the bottom of the list and restart the app.
Hopefully sound will happen. It's set so that Mute is actually speaker, but this is just for testing. Try the Mute/Unmute and Headset/Speaker buttons a few times.
Wow, thanks a lot for sharing
Works perfect also with miui 1.12.16 (default and new kernel)
Now we can play fm radio with headset inside MIUI.
Now we have only to found a way (without reboot the mobile, at this moment the only way I found) for restore standard audio after closing spirit fm, because no more sound (fm spirit works the same).
Great

Hi, I tested 2.3.9 miui rom (also adding italian and greek language), but about spirit fm, after stopping, no more audio, just the same of 1.12.16 (need reboot for fix).
Can you confirm you have not this audio problem, making some try?
Thanks

xaaxxaax!!!gkalen esy eisai?as we said he will fix it!!
I'll fix anything I CAN fix in a reasonable amount of time, relative to the number of people who have a given phone etc.
In other words, I can't spend weeks of work on an unpopular phone. I've pretty much given up on the u8800 (not pro) due to the unusual FM chip and the audio problems we're seeing on this device also. (Maybe related ?)
March 18th release is on the Market/Play. I modified the qdsp5v2 Analog audio method so hopefully it gives you audio without phone crashing.
But as before, and as is common on some phones, I can't guarantee no audio problems, including on phone calls, so please test that yourself.
I tried contacting Huawei to see if they could send me a phone or 2, but no luck. Only HTC responded positively with a device, unlike Huawei, Samsung and Motorola.

With the new version from the market the qdsp5v2 Analog audio method works!
The reboot after is still necessary but its not the biggest problem!
Me too, working fine without starting bluetooth, only need a reboot for restore the audio. Because Mikers maked an incredible works (olso for unpopular mobile like u8800pro, my mobile) now I upgraded to unlocked version, and I'm happy for this. Thank you Michael and f..k huawei

New version added new audio plugin...if someone can test it see details on first post!!thanks!!
Hmmm.
Right now the u8800pro is the only Huawei device on my "works list".
I just added the u8800pro now, for next release, to the list of devices for which "BC 4330/20780" is automatically set. This will need ro.product.device set to "hwu8800Pro" to work.
I made some SU changes recently that make the app more stable on some devices. Some would reboot.
I also added a new method "qdsp5v2 Plus/ICS" and it's possible I could make a "qsdp5v2 Analog" variant of it.
But I don't recall if the u8800pro has a /dev/codec_aic3254 device that would benefit from this change.
I cann´t download Spirit FM from Google Play. Anyone have a direct download link?

The Free version was removed. April 9 Free is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?h3q3rsuj5so7t9d
I am having a hard time finding any other FM radio tuner apps for my joying HU. I want something that shows the station info in a larger font and otherwise looks better on the screen.
Tips? Thanks
See if it works for your unit.

Have somebody try this? Im looking forward to change the standard one.
Thanks

I'm also very interested in a replacement for my stock fm radio app because it's quite lame and ugly. I haven't tried MTCFlatRadio as you suggested because it's not compatible with my head unit (as far as I can tell, because it's a thongai, and doesn't use the same processor).
Anybody has another suggestion ? I can't believe the playstore offers none, it's all about streaming radio (internet required)...
I saw some awesome free UI on the net, with very sleek designs, but it's well above my skills to modify my stock app to look better...
I tried the MTCD version on my Joying headunit UL128N2 the app runs but there is no sound on the frequencies.

Was this easy to do?
I'd be very interested in a tutorial if you have the time.
Hi,
is there any webradio app for the android headunits ? im using malaysk on my HU, there is "PCRADIO" installed. But i dont need any station-database with 1000s of presaved stations, and the app looks for me a little bit overkill... I know tune-in and xiaalive from my smartphone but this is not realy usefull...ads, abos, etc..
My dream is an app like "NavRadio" (https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...t/dev-navradio-ported-to-mtc-devices-t4048899) or the other one "Custom MTCD Radio App" (https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...evelopment/app-custom-mtcd-radio-app-t4040505)... but even for webradio....
Anyone knows an app like this ?
Thanks
