When the phone goes into sleep mode is there a way to make it so other buttons can start the phone other then the power button?
Any apps, hacks, or anything? Thanks in advance.
Edit: btw I did search the forum before I posted but could not find anything.

When I lockmy phone, either with slide2unlock or the actual lock button on today screen, it locks all buttons except the power button. Then I am working listening to mp3's and I accidentally hit power button, it turns off screen, not phone entirely. When it does that that kills my music, then I have to hit power real quick to turn back on, anyway to disable power button? Also even with keys locked, it still wil go in airplane mode if end buttone held down, but this only happens when using slide2unlock, got any ideas?
So to recaqp, want to disable power button.

for plane mode you can use this reg key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/PhoneExtendFunction/CDMA/
set FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0
it will prevent the phone from entering plane mode by holding the end call button
cant help with the power button, on mine sometimes it will go to sleep and keep playing, other times it will stop, i havent noticed a pattern yet
wow, thanks. been looking for this forever. it appears a soft reset is required after the reistry change, at least for me.
The problem I have when I am using the phone, but by mistake I have press the power button which the phone will directly go to sleep mode.
Do anyone know how to increase the respone time for sleep mode (For example, when press power button time over 3sec, it will go to sleep mode)

I'm looking for a solution to stop the phone from turning on the screen when the home button is pressed?
Many time I take it in my pocket I'm hitting that button and the screen is turning on.
I'd prefer that it only turn on when I click the power button.
I think I have to go in : "/system/usr/keylayout", but after I don't know what to do.
Any help or suggestions?

I'm having a problem with my s8. It fell down and now the vol down button is stuck. Wasn't a problem before my battery went to 0% and the phone shut down :laugh:. Now when i turn it on, it always goes into this "safe mode" and I can't start any 3rd party apps.
Now I was thinking about a thing, but before I try that I thought I ask here first. What happens when I factory reset the phone over the settings menu? Since I will have to "install" it new will the "safe mode" still turn on then?

Yes safe mode will turn on after factory reset. The reason its turning on safe mode is because the button combo for safe mode is vol down + home together. Now as your down button is stuck.... when you press power to turn on its actually going to safe mode as down + home are pressed together.
You need to find a way to get the vol down button un stuck.

Damn, was hoping that after that after the Factory reset it won't go into safe mode because of the let's call it software reset :laugh:. Well the phone has an insurance so I have to call them. Thank you anyway

sorry if this not correct place to post, please admins if possible to move my thread to correct section.
I have galaxy j1 2016 and all button works fine and power button works when turn on / off, but the problem is when my phone is turned on, if i want to sleep the phone the power button works, but if i want to wake up phone with power button is not responding like a dead screen, when someone calling me i can answer but i don't see anything in my screen until i plugin the phone again in charger for few minutes..
if the power button is broken, why i can still shutdown my phone with it, i think it's software and not hardware related.
Can someone please help me ?? I spend days searching..
