Don't know about you guys, but I'm still getting lots of force closes when posting with the xda app on my vibrant.
Creating seems to work fine, but replying will almost always force close

This just started happening. Randomly force closes on sites that it never had a problem with before. I tried restarting and it didn't correct the issue. Any ideas? I'd really like to avoid doing a hard reset. Also my phone is not rooted.

I tried to search this but since "xda app" is in so many sigs I can't find information.
When I post anything the xda app will force close and I have to sign in again. Is there a fix for this?
(I will now post this and kill the app.)

This happens to me as well. Replying to a thread force closes the app on the Vibrant, but the post gets posted anyway.
I am also seeing this happen. I also noticed when I sign back in the swype keyboard is locked. Pressing any button will cause the app to try and sign back in. I will have to pull up another input method and then revert back to be able to type.

The fix for that is to turn it to landscape and enter the password. Not sure why, but it works.
So... We have concluded that the XDA App has a problem. Who fixes these kinds of things?

Mine worked fine for a while, now does the Force CLose with every post. Nothing changed in between working OK and FC state.
EDIT - I have a captivate.

pretty sure its an issue with the app itself, not the phone.
It's not just galaxyS. I'm back on my MT3G and while I don't get fc, I am forced to the login screen after (almost) every post. On the vibrant, it would fc but it seems to be the same bug. I would comment in the market so the app devs know about it.

Consider buying the full tapatalk app, that's what the XDA app is based on. Some recent updates have made it a LOT more stable. Not perfect, but I don't get kicked out to the login prompt and such anymore.
Lol def a widespread issue, always happened to me but at least the post goes through do I've never thought to bring it up...kinda smart tip do do given this iiiiis a dev board, lol

Mine is a clean install and the latest version. Guess its just a bit crap then... much like the official UK ebay app as well then.
Oh to top it off my phone decided it had enough and went to sleep again.

Posted here earlier that my problems were gone, but I just had another FC after posting elsewhere...
Also, when trying to edit a previous message I seem unable to type anything; the keyboard appears on my screen, but touching it gives a feedback that is the same as touching in a textbox (I can move cursor and select text etc.instead of typing with the virtual keyboard that is displayed).

i don't know if anyone else was having this problem but if you leave swype up while you submit your reply it fcs but if you back out of swype then submit it won't fc thought I would throw this out there didn't see anything bout it

I had the captivate and the vibrant (friends phone ) and all the samsungs seem to do that. Have no idea why my fascinate does that too.

I use Better Keyboard, and xda sometimes force closes on me while replying as well, with no rhyme or reason as far as I can tell. The reply always goes through before it actually crashes though, so I've never had to redo a post.

Constant force-closes on the XDA app for me - though lately it's been better. Also, it constantly gets stuck while loading - I have to hit the "back" button and tap again, and it'll work.
I find that I get fewer force-closes if I have WiFi on.
I get it in the XDA app also although i doubt this may be it but I've replied to a few posts and when I reply with softkeyboard it seems to send with no issue. If i use the hardwarekeyboard even if i close it then hit submit i seem to still get the FC. Im not sure if thats something to look into cuz it may be the length of the post also. When i have something short and simple i use the softkeyboard and when its long i use the hardware one so maybe happening on longer posts/replies???
