Pb accessing an IP camera with IE

I use the DLINK 5300G IP Camera at home. It has an ambarked Web server which I can access from my LAN or from Internet.
But I does not work with the IE version on my Tytn (on the LAN). I see the web page but the image itself uses an add-on (MPEG4 video activeX I think).
Where can I find it for the Tytn ?
Thanks
Your best bet is to download View Commander mobile from ivimg.com. There's a 14 day trial. It works very well with most IP cameras.
I tried for months and months trying to get my dlink ip cam to work with IE for mobile without any success. I think the mpeg4 codec is an applet thingy that doesn't work in wm5.
Thanks ! It works perfectly and worth the 50$ !

Cannot access live.com domain from IE or Opera (Samsund i780 WM6.1)

I can't access any site on the live.com domain from either Pocket IE or Opera. I have tried with all connection types. All other Internet apps work fine and I can access all other Internet sites without a problem from either IE or Opera.
I can access the sites via Opera Mini, but I don't want to use Opera Mini.
I have no problem accessing Windows Live Messenger/Hotmail via the Windows Live stand alone app and can sync over all connection types (WiFi, GPRS, USB).
I just get regular 'network problem' type message as if I've typed in an invalid address. I have tried all variants of the addresses, e.g. m.calendar.live.com, home.live.com, mobile.live.com, etc. I can't access the regular .live.com or the mobile-specific addresses.
Any ideas?
solved...i suppose
I solved this problem by flashing the newer PMSHL1 ROM. Now everything seems to be working perfectly...though I can't test GPS until I'm out of the city centre at work.
Even Windows Live works without using a hacked version, and Windows Live Search app works as well.

Explorer tries to connect to the device on port 80. If there is no service running you can't connect I wonder what page is viewed connecting to localhost when running wm5
I'am developing a mobile application based on OpenMobileIS open source framwork, this techno use the internet explorer web browser for application interface : webserver includes in the framework. So for that I have to access my application throught the localhost on internet explorer or another mobile web browser.
im having a similar problem on a wm6.5 device.
I want to dynamically forward ports back to my device from a remote ssh server, and im having problems...
I think its to do with wm6.5 not having a concept of a localhost...
localhost 127.0.0.1 connect
hi,
im trying to get a webserver running on my WindowsPhone!!!
i wanna exchange data with my home server later if WLAN access exist.
i used WindowsPocketPC 2003 and all worked well... now i have 6.5 and nothing works...
ok i have find out:
You need to change the registry because there is no hosts File like WindowsXP has. Or you can use a tool for this "Pockethosts"!
(or try 127.0.0.1:80/index.php - 80 is port of your server and give full name of file)
and you need to have Internet access. (I tested it with WLAN internet over my Router)
---------
but im still dont get it to work without internet access
can some one help with this?
(Internet access to connect localhost LoL)

I know it's been a year but I had previously tested on a device with Windows Mobile 6.1 and worked locally without connection, but now I have a just got a Handheld Device with 6.5 and if there is not a connection. The local web server is not accesible and says: Cannot Connect: Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings.
I am using PocketHPH (Web server and simplified PHP engine with SQLite)
There is no place like 127.0.0.1 (home sweet home) !!
What happens if you install the Network Folder plug-in and NbstatCE ?
Nbtstat for the Pocket PC. Written in Embedded Visual C++. All versions of Windows CE have a file explorer which can not view windows shares easily. Nbtstat allows the user to view netbios shares on all IP addresses in a subnet.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/nbtstatce/
Though I'm not running WM 6.5.x I'm curious if these both links help you out...
and
Did you forward a port on your router? Thus trying http://127.0.0.1 : portNumber (no spaces here, I typed it this way otherwise appears)
..
There are 65,536 ports which can be used, though every port below the 56,000 is for the industry; thus use a port above 56,000
The web server was on default port 9000, then changed it to port 80. Like I mentioned before, works fine if there IS a WiFi Connection, but once it is lost I can't connect to the local web server.
Don't worry try one of this browser skyfire or uzardwebp and let me know

Can't download Skyfire, cause it's not available in my area. Tried uzardwebp, but just won't connect to anything. Installed Opera 10 Mini and similar results with IE. If there is a Wifi Connection present the internal web server works great. Once there is no WiFi connection I get Network Problem message in opera.

Can't view D-Link IP cam using Opera or IE Mobile

My D-Link IP cam works perfectly, I can view it remotely using any computer, I don't know why I can't see the video, it has a JAVA setting and our phone has JAVA in it, what gives?

[Q] Cannot access webpage with port address 3g- WebAddress.com:PortNo

Hi All,
I've look but cannot find an answer anywhere.
The problem is, how do you access a web address with a port no. with 3g etc (wifi works ok)
I would like to see my CCTV DVR when i'm out and i can access it through the default browser with WiFi on and using the 192.168.... address but cannot access it through say 3g etc. while using my 'outside' address of e.g. xxxxxxx.dyndns.org:1234.
Port forwarding is setup and working and can access the DVR with a pc at work.
Normal browsing works, it's only when a port no. is added that i have problems.
Using a HTC Wildfire.
Any help much appreciated, thanks.
Did you try connecting to other services/sites that use a nonstandard port?
Did you try setting it up on port 80?
Thanks for the reply.
I tried this at work and still the same problem, wireless works great but the 3g doesn't, using exactly same address.
It seems as though the operator doesn't let you do this sort of thing.
This goes with using the default browser, Opera mini browser and the app (IP Camera) that i was trying out.
All work through a wireless network but not through 3g etc.
This isn't confined with just trying to access my CCTV from home or work but with any address that is followed with port numbers.

Then you should contact your 3g operator and shout at them until they fix it
