Unlocked it via unlock universal SIM. Now it's open to other networks.
umm.. ok? inb4thelock
This is why we can't have nice things.
That would be pretty nifty if it wasn't on the other networks anyway. I guess if you prefer the looks...
This has nothing to do with development

A bunch of others have unlocked with piggy back or proxy sims. Do it in software and this thread might belong im the dev section.

Some things are common across the GS3 independent of the carrier but there are some that are dependent on the carrier. General accessories could all be grouped into one but carrier specific ship dates, etc, being jumbled all into one it's hard to find threads you aren't subscribed to. Looks like I need to subscribe to more but somehow mute tapatalk from notifications.

XDA isn't a carrier forum. Go to HowardForums or Sprint.com if you want that.
XDA is about DEVICES. The L710 is the same configuration no matter what carrier you're on. This is how it should be.
Back in my day, under the HTC Vogue, we supported both Verizon and Sprint, and we liked it.
I don't like it. I can understand things where there are overlap like accessories, but having a carrier specific forum for general was nice because we could talk about carrier specific topics.
I get what the admins are trying to do. Save server space from redundant threads....However, AFAIC it still sucks.
I like the way things are, but time will tell how much of an unholy mess it turns out to be...

dont they all have the same hardware? so wont roms made for one, work for all? with separate forums devs will have to make multiple redundant threads?
As long as people aren't ignorant this will be fine.
I'm sure to get a good laugh out of it.

No, they will not work across each carrier, in theory they can. But I'm gonna guess each carrier has diff apps added. And diff framework icons. So the answer is no, they will not (radios get flashed outside of roms these days, no problem there).
Anyways this is related to the general section, development is still split, which is great.

This.
I think it's stupid. Put us in our own forums!

i don't like it simply because the themes section also needs to be separate, i think.
edit: oh wait, it's just non-quad versions grouped together. i think it's fine then lol

And I guess you know what it means to have diff related things that arnt common between carries also right, that's why they split up development. And should have also made diff general sections.

Themes are diff across each carrier also, they should be split.

no good especially since the forum names are the same as the internatrional sgs iii.
so in apps like tapatalk and xda in favorites you now have to forums where the names are exactly the same.
I think it would be better. Better development, better collaboration, pooling of dev resources.
Now it won't be noob friendly because I can see noobs already flashing AT&T Radios for a Sprint phone and bricking their devices.
I like and hate it. I think it was too soon to combine the General forum. These devices are still in a very volatile shipping status and until that clears people will be using the general threads to see if anyone has any updates. Clutters the whole process.
Yes Themes should be split. Were not talking Metamorph here. We are talking actual apk's and framework files. Xml diffs etc...
So, I decided to make this thread for anyone here at XDA with questions concerning giffgaff, who don't want to go to the giffgaff community.
You could live abroad and have questions on giffgaff, or you may just have a question.
I am an avid community member, and I am often updated with information.
Sorry if this isn't allowed, but I don't see why it shouldn't be.
Maybe get it stickied?
Thanks,
Liam
I opened a giffgaff thread myself a while back but it got closed by Archer because this is a development site, not a place to push commercial enterprise. ( His words, not mine)
I'm sure this one will have the same fate.

Ah right. Fair enough then
You on about the noob thread? Cause if so, its always there so the noobs might just click it. Unlikely though

Well they did ban me from the community...
So I think we could be having that!
Why. I see builds for T-mobile, Verizon, and a few others but not ATT. Is it the bootloader? Will the locked bootloader negatively affect developement?
Meant to reply, not thank. Check the original Dev section. @task650 is working AOKP magic for the i337.

I hope we see some development finally because I'm tired of using a lot of different apps to tweak the rom and kernel.
It's like a twrp recovery

This is old news, you should have checked the threads....there at least 2 here mentioning this.
i think it is still in the works, but hopefully they get it working on the att variant.

Dupe thread on dupe topic = thread closed.
Users please use search prior to posting...Always!
I know that this was posted before and moved to the ATT section but there is no one in that forum and this should be helpful for devs for the phone in general. I wish I was a coder/hacker so I could do this myself but I can't. The positive thing is that we have a bunch of folks willing to pay for someone who can. This helps devs regardless of whether they are ATT or other variants as I am sure they would like to get some money. The bounty looks to be over $500+ just by quick estimations.

Yes.

The worst thing is I don't even have ATT. I use T-Mobile but I bought this phone not thinking it would have a locked bootloader so complex that XDA developers couldn't get past it. Kinda mind blowing to me.
