Problems with wifi, while running both bluetooth and wifi simultaneously. - Droid X General

When I run my bluetooth and wifi at the same time, my wifi will buffer youtube or pandora for 45 sec to a minute, then stop transmitting for about the same time frame. Really strange... noticed mostly because I can't watch a full youtube video with my bluetooth Headset on. Anyone else having this problem?

Epic 4g Any one having sound glitches while streaming Music through Bluetooth
If any one know about a solution for this Please let me know
Epic 4g
Rom Viper DK28 4.0.1 - Froyo 2.2.1
Modem S700.55.DK28
Kernel 2.6.32.9
I'm not sure if it's the same as your issue, but mine seems to cut out every once and a while when streming. Seems to only happen when another process is being accesed. It's like BT is on the bottom priority for CPU and Mem.
I have 1 1/2 hour comute to work and before I start the Pandora stream, I stop all other programs from running. Even when 'Sync', well Syncs, it will cause he BT to cut out for a moment.
Good Luck

I have no stuttering, if that's what you mean.
Only bug I've noticed with BT (and I don't even know if this the manufacturer's fault, or the rom I'm running), but sometimes after I turn off bluetooth, sounds that normally go to the rear speaker (like music, the alarm clock, etc), will instead be piped to the ear speaker.
But a simple reset, or going into and out of bluetooth mode usually fixes that.
Make sure that WiFi is off too, that will also make the stream skip.
I have noticed that if wifi is turned on, but not connected to any networks, then the bluetooth audio will cut out every 30 seconds or so for half a second (when the epic scans for wifi networks). If wifi is off, or if it is connected to a network, I never have this problem.
This was bothering me when I used my phone to listen to music in my car. So, I used Locale to disable the wifi whenever it connected to my car stereo. Problem fixed!
Hope this helps
How did you guys get the music to stream over bluetooth?

I have this same issue. It's only on the Froyo beta ROMs.
I have all of the problems above described. The music player issue does not get better when i turn off every running process, including wifi, gps, etc. Same thing with bluetooth or playing from the earpiece. I was hoping that the OTA 2.2 release would fix this because of "enhanced bluetooth support", but i didnt realize it was happening with just the music player alone (at first i thought it was only bluetooth that I was having the problem with).
Does anyone know if this problem goes away if you download a third party music player such as Winamp or one of the others?
I am running 2.1 DI18, rooted FWIW.
Only with Last.fm does it skip. Sirius, Pandora and slacker all play fine. However remote controls don't work with Viper version c.

+1 heavy like Flash Player. I noticed that if I have my BT headphones going, the flash video will stutter like a sumb!tch and it slows the vid to less than half speed. I've noticed this on any and all dk28 roms I've tested. I wish this could be easily fixed.

Ford Sync with Nexus S 4g

I get constant disconnects when streaming media from the phone to ford sync through bluetooth. Very annoying. Anybody experiences the same problem? Any solutions? ( turning off wifi does not help)
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Disconnects as in the phone is literally not connected via bluetooth anymore or just skips in the audio?
I have an '08 Fusion and my Nexus S 4G works perfectly. I had an Epic 4G prior and it was terrible. Audio skips all the time, it would forget it was paired to the car frequently, and sometimes the bluetooth wouldn't turn off or on and I'd have to reboot the phone.
Anymore info you can provide?
Same here w/ me/mine&my Sync/navi in my 2010 GT500!

[Q] Bluetooth Audio Dropping in Car

Happens a few times during my morning commute. I'll be listening to a podcast and using Waze, and the audio from both drops.
Bluetooth is still connected. At this point I can wait it out (usually a minute or two) ... or turn BT off/on again ... both usually resolve the issue.
It's happened since day one - and my previous phone (HTC Inspire 4G, running stock and CM7) never had this problem with my radio.
Anybody else having this problem? Any suggestions on a fix? I know Goog changed the BT stack in 4.2 to improve "reliability" ... but this is driving me crazy.
I've been using my bluetooth regularly in my car (09 TSX) and not once has it dropped/stopped playing music. Whether I'm streaming from Tune-In or just from the Play Music app it always works. In fact it worked for my 3 hours road trip this past weekend without a single issue!
No issues with phone calls either.

I just set up bluetooth in my car yesterday. The audio and call quality is great, but I did have it drop out once. When it dropped out the phone locked up and I had to reboot in recovery. I'm running completely stock and have not rooted.
Try turning off WiFi , mine was cutting out whenever a wireless network became available. I turn off WiFi when I get in my car and have had no issues since

WiFi not working while on call with Bluetooth headset

Has anyone had this issue? Anytime I'm on a call with my Bluetooth headset I can't use WiFi it won't scan or connect. When I switch to phone speaker or earpiece it connects. Also when I'm listening to music with Bluetooth it connects just not when calling.
Thanks for any reply.

I have a different issue with Bluetooth. Whenever I turn on Bluetooth and am done with it I turn it off. The next time I want to use it I try to turn it on and the on toggle switch toggles to the off position. It won't turn on until I reboot the phone. Then it's on as soon as I reboot. When I'm done with Bluetooth I turn it back off. Rinse, repeat. Any body got any ideas? Hopefully the op doesn't feel I'm highjacking his thread. I just haven't seen any other post relating to Bluetooth troubles on the Nexus 4.

Yup having this issue. WiFi connectivity does when on a call using Bluetooth. Connect to a 5ghz WiFi network so both can work together at the same time or hope Google will fix it.

Having done a small amount of digging around trying to figure out why I can't use my 2.4GHz WiFi at the same time as a Bluetooth headset, it looks like it's most likely due to the change of Bluetooth stack in 4.2.x.
Bluetooth has a feature called Adaptive Frequency Hopping that is supposed to automatically detect which frequencies in the 2.4GHz range are being used by other services, such as WiFi, and then avoid them. My wild and uninformed guess is that this is not working correctly and hence the Bluetooth and WiFi signals are interfering with one another to the point that neither can operate reliably. Fundamentally this is likely to be the same for headsets used for voice calls as well as basic audio playback.
If I switch the N4 to the 5GHz radio on my AP then everything co-exists happily and fluffy bunnies hop around peacefully in flowery fields.
In my case it certainly doesn't just affect streaming audio. If I play a local music track via my Bluetooth headset or speakers, the WiFi connection will usually drop; though even if it doesn't, it's not possible to download any files for example.
I have also tested on a Nexus 7 running 4.2.1 and, whilst it seems this can just manage streaming audio, as soon as I start to download a file the BT audio stutters very badly. That could also be down to the poor I/O bandwidth, though, and I'm not in any hurry to downgrade to 4.1 to prove the point at the moment.
Final test was on an ASUS TF300 with 4.1.1. This happily streamed audio over BT and downloaded a file at the same time. Also no problems playing a local track over BT whilst downloading a large file using WiFi.
There are a few related bugs open on the Android bug-tracker, for what that's worth. There are a massive number of Bluetooth issues overall, but a few WiFi/Bluetooth ones are:

It also happens when using a Bluetooth game controller, the WiFi stops functioning properly!

Bluetooth issue

Hi i use bluetooth in the car I have the phone connected to a 3.5mm bluetooth receiver and the built in hands free in the car.
I only switch bluetooth on in the car.
Noticed today that my battery was going quite quick and checked the wake locks.
Shows bluetooth_timer and I think a couple of others. Even though I had disabled bluetooth from the notification bar.
I then tried playing a video from the Android central app and noticed the audio was defaulting to bluetooth (despite being disabled)
Used YouTube and again audio being sent to bluetooth, YouTube app gave me the option to change to speaker.
Had to reboot my phone for it to stop thinking the bluetooth was an option for the output.
Any one else with experience of this ?
