Is there an onscreen volume control hidden somewhere? I would rather use it than the rocker button.
In the music player there is.

I want to use this theme
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=685928
and I was trying to use S2P 1.4 as my music player but I cannot use the hardware volume keys when the phone is locked and the screen is off. I have to press the power button and then use the volume buttons (no need to unlock). Is there a way to overide this? I cannot find any kind of setting for this reason. I also tried imulator and has the same problem. if you have any other similar music player in your mind just suggest it to me, I need it to be fingerfriendly, like s2p and imulator, and be able to use hardware keys when screen is off and phone is locked, like sense music player. and to support suffle.
Or, is there a way to use the sense music player as a standalone application? If I have sense running in the background while I am using the above mentioned theme, and create a link to the sense music player, when I press the link, the music player comes up but when I want to go back to home screen I have to click on start button find the theme icon and then return to it... if there is no way to use the sense music player as a standalone application, is there anyway to overcome this? to go directly from the sense music player to the theme?
the best sollution for me is to use sense music player as standalone application....
thank you.
hey guys, no one has any ideas?? I saw that there a standalone sence music player, but it is for android, anything similar for WM6.5? any other ideas?
also, is there a way to have a more sensitive (I lack of another word) of handling the volume? something more accurate than the actual volume control of WM6.5?
thank you
why is it most music players on android have no volume control on the screen for easy access? can anyone recommend me one? the only one i've found that has it is cloud skipper, but the audio quality from that music player is very poor. poweramp has great audio quality, but it don't have the volume control on screen like cloud skipper does. anyone knows a good one?

Maybe BSPlayer. It doesn't show the volume level on screen all the time, but you can adjust the volume level on screen by swiping
up and down on the right side of the display (and the volume level is displayed on screen during adjustment of the volume).
hey guys, I use to use an app that allowed me to use the volume rocker buttons to control my music playback. Basically, the way it works is you quickly double click the volume up rocker to skip a song and double click the down volume rocker to replay/go back. You can use this functionality with the screen off and if you press the volume rocker at "normal" speed, it would control volume as usual. I used to use the app but since I switched to my N4, I somehow lost it and can't remember the name of the app in the play store. Any ideas?
Thanks!!
I was looking for one also and came across one called "Pocket Skip Track" on the play store.
Works great on stock 4.3 aosp. Hope that's what you were looking for!

If you are rooted, you can try any rom, all the roms here have that feature to change the song by long pressing the volume up button and play the previous song by pressing the volume down button.. I am on Slimbean and it has this feature so no need to waste the valuable space of our phones when you can get the feature in the rom itself.
Paranoid Android says hi. link: click on my signature.

One app that I'm missing on the 6T that I was using on the Note 9 was BxActions where I was not only able to remap the stupid Bixby button, but also the volume buttons. I want to be able to skip tracks, play/pause tracks using the volume buttons on the 6T. Does anyone have any tips?
P.S. I'm using MidnightCore module right now to change my boot animation but it only changes the intro boot, not the animation when the phone shuts down/restarts. It's still the T-Mobile logo. Any way to change that as well?

Try Button Mapper Pro
or do it in your music player
GoneMAD, Player Pro, and Rocket music players all support some kind of button overrides, probably other players too.

Thanks for the tip but I'm not trying to use another player besides PowerAmp (beta).

This is looking promising. I bought the pro version but I'm running into issues with the skip tracks options while the display is off. Which is a key feature that I need. I'm rooted and granted all the permissions that I need to give. Currently waiting for the dev to email me back to see what help I can get. Thanks for the tip.
And it's working perfectly! Thanks again, @kantjer! This app was the answer to my dreams!
