Why did you created 2 threads for asking some basic instruction already posted all over the forum?
Go to your device forum and READ this 2 threads:

Yes you are a noob...please do not open threads that are non development in this section. There are a lot of info on how to root. All you need to do is read and search.

Did you read the beginners guide? First post in the general section? (before this was moved) before this new thread? It is in there. I recommend you start reading there and then ask questions.

You have already broken many of them including posting a question (Q) in the General section and not using the search function.
Go to the Original Android Development section, search for LOKI, and read as much as you can.
Good luck.

Loki is the brother of Thor and the adopted son of Odin. He's really an Ice Giant, though, so be careful.

I was doing some searching and found the thread posted below. I was wondering if it would also apply to our device. I'm using a rooted phone with MF3, so I can't preform a nandroid backup and obviously don't want to brick my phone. Thanks in advance!

Probably, but you should freeze them first, not delete them. That way if something doesn't work you can just unfreeze it.
