Hi,
it'll been nice to have the option to wake the phone with the optical trackpad. Anyone knows how to do this....

Anyone know if the X1 has vibration feedback (in particular, for the dial pad, when making a call)? Omnia has, but Touch Pro doesn't.
vibration feedback? What exactly are you talking about. Like does it vibrate when you are getting a call?
As in the phone vibrates on each number you press when you're making a call.
Doubt it. Why would you want it to do that?
It kinda helps to 'feel' that you've dialled a number since it ain't a physical keypad.
I know what you mean, I have it on my LG Viewty.
Its a kind of simulated tactile feedback for a touch screen as (obviously) touch screens have no physical buttons .
I m pretty certain that the Diamond has a hidden registery setting that enables "vibrating" feedback.
If thats the case then maybe its possible to enable for xperia.
Someone should do a search in the Diamond section.
Well, someone built an app for this. If there's a registry setting for this then people wouldn't have to use it already.
otherwise it would not be too much work to make an app which detected "keypresses" and vibrated when they happent but vibrations cost battery power
hey guys,
I have a problem. Often when i press (or in pants) the hd-case near the insert stylus, my hd wakes up and the screen glows.
Gyrator tells me, that the sylus-in-out-sensor gives (wrong) informations. The sensor says "stylus out" but the stylus is IN!
How can i disable the wakeup on stylus in/out (registry?)
thanks for your help guys!
nick
you must be pressing so much, i just tried to press mine and pull the stylus a little from the case, and my displays does not turn on.

Hi Nick,
did you check the following registry key (e.g using PHM Registry editor):
HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\StylusOutStatus
0 means Stylus IN
1 means Stylus OUT
It is possible that the sensor has shifted from place. I know that others had this too with a Touch Diamond. Probably it is best to remove the back plate, remove the battery and look if you can find something wrong where the Stylus is inserted.
Looks like a hardware problem
Rick.
Hello,
is there a way to disable vibration when I press back or search button? It's quite annoying.
Yes...i wonder too...and might save some battery...
Theres no 'official' way.
Is there any way to disable to touch sensitivity on the touch pad? I'd like to keep using it as a button to wake up the phone, but it's annoying when it starts scrolling through things when I accidentally touch the pad.
nope i dont think it's possible you could remove the Driver for the Touch Pad itself but then the button wouldst work at all
is it possible to disable the screen on function when the keyboard slides out? i only want the display to turn on when i hit the power button...
PLEASE HELP!!
I hope someone responds to this as it's the only thing on the internet I've found regarding this issue. My phone always slides just the tiniest bit while in my pocket and next thing you know, I'm making emergency calls to 99999999***999. Thank god my pocket hasn't figured out the number to 911 yet.
