@OP:
I have cleaned up this thread and consolidated all of your posts into the first post ... in the future:
Ensure that you post in the correct forum section
Organize your thread such that most of the topic is communicated in the first (and second) posts
Do not self-bump a thread; folks will find it if they need it
I tried to do this and it did not work, I used the file download in the root you phone as there was nothing listed anywhere else.. What did I do wrong and or where is the correct file?
I'm definitely new and I followed your video with know problem.
If you followed root video exactly it should be fine "I'm no dev" so if error occured ??????.....
1 did you use astro?

No offense, my friend, but spamming the forums everywhere with the same info in all caps is just a bit obnoxious. I mean, do what you want, but expect people to be annoyed.
read my post on RyanZA fix in batch file. tried V1 and V2.3, both have bugs.
This fix was stable for me, but there is a catch too. the limit for app data storage is 130mb, will you ever go over, i dont know. i didnt yet.

I tried RyanZA's 2-3 batch file fix and I'm not having any problems...to which bugs are you referring?
The bug I’m aware of happens with apps that store data (such as texture) on the sd card outside of the new partition. Some games such as Asphalt 5, Homerun Battle 3d, heavy Gunner, maps... This is a problem with all the lags fixes. If you don't use those apps or apps like that it probably won't affect you.
For instance the load times for Homerun Battle were three times longer on start up, if it started up. I had several times where my phone just shut off. If it eventfully did start it would run fine. Chainfire talks about the bug in his thread found here.

Played around with maps, gps on/off, zillow app., switching back and forth and phone froze on Alpha 1 as well as 2.3. Also this is a know issue and I got it too, on 2.3 I was not able to change fonts. And I hate default font
When i use RyanZA lagfix it works but when i reboot the phone everything gets screwed up anyone have this problem itll take ages to boot up and when it does alot of force closes and widgets outta place etc
Use chainfire. I believe it may be the safest, easily the most automatic one.

My vibrant seems to be a bit bogged down and not as awesome as I first got it. There seems to be a little lag on live wall papers, when using a live wallpaper and going to my app window, it slightly lags, etc.
How do I make it run like new besides a factory reset. (ive done 3 already)

After hours of research for a lag fix, I am yet to be decided. Everyone seems contradictory and there seems no sure set way to do it. I do not want anymore problems on my phone.
I did root using that video in literally 5 minutes though.
Is there any EXACT guide on to how to install a root fix.

I used the free tool from the market and it worked very quickly and well....
I had a terrible time getting RyanZA's one click root to work......
the one in the market I used was "one click lag fix" and had several different functions, from rooting, unrooting, lagfix, boot animation stuff, etc....nice tool
Me too but sometimes my screen don't goto sleep now..Ihave to hit power button.
Sent from my Samsung Vibrant using XDA App
Do yo you have to be rooted to get this to work?
Can you please post the market link.
My brother has the Captivate and I have the Vibrant. So I asked him how is lag fix went and he said his scores are great but now the phone seems to go slower after adding apps and using it. I googled around and found the same mixed results. Let us know after a few days of usage how your phone is working for you.

Just search lag fix vibrant and it should be the only one. Go to the web sight in the disruption and read the whole page 3 times then do the lag fix. Hope this helped. My phone runs great iv had the lag fix for 3 days now I'll post agin next saturday and tell you how its going.

Mr.bauer
If your Vibrant really isn't lagging, much like my Vibrant isn't I wouldn't bother.. these things can cause more trouble than they're worth and I don't notice a difference.
Hi guys I thought i would make a video, to show how to SBF your Droid X using the latest SBF file 2.3.340. You may want to familiarize yourself with the process incase you ever send your phone into a bootloop, or ever need to take it back to VZW! Tell me what you think and let me know if youd like to see more video tutorials.

Xda is not a place for rudeness we are here to help each other before you get on your high horse and waste the effort of creating a patronising video of how to use google. This reason for my post is because this is a specific problem with the elk4 leak. If you read the other threads you would have seen others have tried agps and it still does not work. Hence my post.

1. Rudeness citation, please;
2. It is not a video it is a webpage based service created fot peoples who are unable to use search button in XDA forum or at Google, therefore, although I like your way of thinking, there is no high horse on the horizon, sorry. But... my concerns about your ability to use the patch are even bigger now, as you have thought it is a video created especially for you...
3. If you have specific problem, it would be better place for it, namely: Q&A, just below the general section of forum.
Last but not least: I have read ALL cited by me thread. No single comment about non working with your ROM, therefore, if you're giving such statement, provide link to the post, please.
You should have post this in Q&A section. Anyway I think it's kernel related just flash Siah kernel see if it's fix your problem but Siah kernel isn't fully compatible with this ROM yet so it will break your video recording.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Well this would make it one. This particular firmware gps problem is not related to whatever patch does, therefore it is not solved by a patch. Now if someone has idea or solution.... Doubt it anyways, and since I'm depending heavily on navigation for my work, back to lj5 patiently waiting for jkay, till next leak and next round of testing.
Testing JKay alpha on GT-I9300
Just noticed gps problems today, is there a fix? I previously didnt wipe. But flashed again full wipe. Not tested yet.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I can confirm that this worked for me today:
I had just installed Omega 33, and was trying to use GPS to navigate, but was not getting a good on my location (although I seemed to have a certain amount of accuracy to my position). I turned the GPS off and on again, and what little accuracy present went away and I never got the GPS lock.
I used the app known as "Fasterfix" from the play store. It needs root privileges in order for it to modify the "GPS.conf" file.
I live in India. Hence I chose my server as Asia-> India (it sets it to in.pool.ntp.org or something like that). There was no need to reboot. After this, I was successfully able to navigate without any problems.
Try it out and let me know whether it works.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
My problem was never getting a fast lock, it was holding onto it. When I would press navigate i would drive certain distance and would notice my position is few streets behind, then would get prompt gps lost, never to return. Turn off gps toggle, turn on later, aquire lock. Rinse and repeat.

You are saying the aGPS patch works, although from what I have read it's a completely unrelated problem, please show me it worked. If there is already a fix posted you should be straight linking it with a "please use the search next time" that's a helpful post.
And do you even know the problem, have you ever looked in the leaked firmware thread, I barely see you (checking the forums multiple times every day) and when I do see you your posts are rude, with absolutely no intelligence what so ever.
Did someone try to reflash the modem?

Still, your heaven-reaching intelligence is unable to provide link to citation that this patch is not working? Well, ok, you may be busy learning how to distinguish between web page and video...
Finally, I have no time to look on the forum several times per day, as I have plenty other things to do, for example to drive somewhere using SGS3 as SatNav device, which is (comparing crappy chipset as SGS 1 with brilliant chip at SGS3) - just a pleasure.
Therefore, sorry but I will disappoint you in the future as well.
