xxJP2 Memory Issue? - Galaxy S I9000 General

Is the memory mixed up on this firmware?
It seems that the dominant save place the the internal 2gb ROM storage :S
Anyways to the problem... I am trying to install gameloft games and it needs to download files but won't automatically save them to my SD card and internal SD card (6gb-ish)
EDIT: The files are already on my phone but the game doesn't seem to use them?

storage confusion(memory)

im just a bit confused about the sd card in general,,my phone of astro file manager has like,,,phone>sdcard>externalsd...which is weird and i never know if im searching my phone or my sd card...
when i try and load things i have dragged on my pc desktop onto sdcard they ussualy then go into phone>sdcard>external sd and never just .... sd card
i was trying to load images into sketchbook mobile and i could only do so from the phones camera pictures where i now have to drag everything omn the desktop....why cant i make use of my 32gb external sd card in this regard?
where are the applications for augmenting tehe sd card memory or whatever not for just having aplication sent to sd card memory,
does the sd card just work like say,,an external usb hard drive for a computer except you can put some inatalled application on it,,,,,but nothing like media,,photos videos etc?
or is it just me?
cheers
Your phone aka tab is divided into parts
System arnd 2 gigs
SDCARD arnd 14 gigs
System works as space for system
Sd as your sd card - Flashing doesn't destroy data on this
And if you place another SD card then it is termed as external_sd
So primary storage for you phone is SD Which is its own space
PS : there is usb storage folder (in sd card directory) also which is for your pendrives, etc

there are a lot more partitions than the 2 you mentioned!
efs
system (~1GB)
data (~2GB)
hidden
...
as far as i remember the note has 8 or 9 partitions (all of them have to be
subtracted from the initial 16gig (unformated!! formated it will be significantly less) storage!
so from your 16gigs you should see around 11GB as free mem on '"sdcard"!
i can't tell exactly because i have the 32gb internal version. with it a little more than 25,5GB are shown as "total" available (not free) storage!
as mentioned above
the rom has 1gb partition
data/system has 2gb
rest is used for sd card purposes around about 11.8gb
the device sees the internal memory as sd memory, the external sd card is seen under /external_sd
the file mangers will automatically go directly to the internal storage when browsing
i understand that I get about 12 GB left from 16 internally but.....
what can I actually do with the external_sd?
I cant load jpeggs onto sketchbook mobile at the moment. Reaally annoying
Any reason as to why it wouldn't recognize files in the external_sd?
Also we were saying about partitins and other random folder in the phone SD and external sd? anyone got a referrl to which ones can be deleted and generally how to make the phone and external sd card more navigation friendly?
please this would be really helpful
external_sd is your physical micro sd card, you can do what you want with it, i personally have all my music and movies on there
what files are you putting on the card?

Question about moving apps

Need help I puchased the dark knight game and its about 2gb in size. I did a search on how to move apps and found an app called FolderMount which worked in moving the game to my external sd. But now I have a copy on my ext sd and my internal memory. I tried deleting it from the internal but its telling it cant cause its read only. Does anyone know a way around this. I found that if I copy all folder to my computer and format the internal it would solve my issue but would this cause an issue with the phone?

App To SD

The new update gives functionality of transferring apps to sd card but when I transfer an app to SD it remains in internal memory and there is no change to my external memory card. Can anyone tell me where does it exactly go and what actually happens when i move my app to sd??

Well app to sd card option moves the apk u installed in the SD card but it keeps the data in internal memory only.. so incase u take the memory card out u cannot run the application and its done this way so that u can free up some space in ur internal memory for other use etc
What is bigger, the APK or data?
u can use terminal or folder mount to link that data in external sdcard to phones memory! so phone thinks its on phones but its on sd! btw u may experiance lag or slow loading and stuff! havent tryed my self i got no space problem on 8gb version i just bought it im currently downloading more games! like rapid gt and others
also try to save some space whit moving everything to sd expect game data!

Most of the time its data that is big
example Need for speed is abt 13 mb app size and the data we need to download is abt 600 mb and after its extracted its abt 1.6 gb
I already use pro version of Folder mount but i just had a doubt that samsung is providing the old method of moving apps to sd again but still i see no diff in my internal storage as i have already moved many internal apps to sd using the new function but still i see my ext sd is empty and the apk remains in int memory only ......

Yes data of the app remains in the internal memory card only just to verify u just take the memory card and see those app will ask for car to be inserted
and ya since only the apps are mvng and it may be small in size u dont see may not notice the change in internal memory available

S4 SD Card is on internal memory WTF!

I just installed NFS Most Wanted on my S4 and it is 1.88Gb
It tells me SD card data 1.85gb but that is on the actual internal memory.
If I actually move the data folder from the Android folder in main memory to the Android folder on the sd card the games can't find the files and downloads them again.
WTH does it think internal memory is SD card and not my actual 64gb sd card?
Really starting to get annoyed at these retarded limitations google are putting on android.
Folder Mount is what you need from the play store. Check it out.

Perfect. That does the trick. Have tried DirectoryBind but that didn't work.
