has anyone found a fix to the usb debugging with aftermarket chargers issue?
Phone thinks it's plugged in to a PC and won't mount the SD card properly when using a third party charger.
My phone had been acting very weird with the car charger for the last couple days. I even got a different charger. Charges on and off all day. Not sure what causing it. The home charger works fine.

All my chargers charge just fine, it when plugged into any charger other than the HTC wall charger USB debugging turns on and the SD card un-mounts.
Sucks when using custom alarm sounds or trying to bring up files on the SD when charging.
I think this is recent, like 2.2 upgrade. I think mine isn't mounting the card, but it goes into usb debugging.

that's just it when you have debugging enabled it will do that. Pain in the ass though and I would think some third party charger makers would have some issues with this too.

Sorry if this is on the wrong section but today I realized that my usb connecting to the wall plug started to have this weird burning smell.. but it charges fine so far should I be worrying about the usb being fried and will end up not charging or syncing anymore?
Edit: while I relooked into my topic again I thought of a new way to say instead of saying usb connecting. As I ment the end of the usb cord that mounts into the wall plug and computer

You should start by trying another charger. That's something you may want to fix before burning your house down.

I plug in on my laptop, and a green light appear on the phone....but phone don't turn on
If the battery is dead it wont turn on. Let it be for a while.

Make sure your laptop is plugged in & charging as well, otherwise I don't think it will work.
Make sure you have the drivers installed as well. I read in the motorola site somewhere that the computer won't charge unless the drivers are installed. Also it charges much slower than the wall outlet does.

Usr USB 3.0 port if your laptop has one so it supplies more power. USB 3.0 will charge almost as fast as AC.

Just let it be. it won't turn on if the battery is below a certain level. Let it sit and charge and it will eventually turn on.
Here we go again.. Only the 1,500th time this has come up..
yes.. Have you been flashing ?
And if it stucked on bootloader you will need factory cable...
Or ..
You can buy a charge only cable just like me, from ebay.. Very cheap.. The phone can boot without even battery! That's why it can be charged if you stucked o bootloader!

You returned it because of battery life?. What do you mean?.
I tought you returned the phone because of the locked bootloader and because its a bit easy to brick it.

I respect your work but don't give absurd reasons for returning your phone.

I have read a post about factory cable,it seems that it will be powered on forcibly when plugged via this cable even without a battery
How to make it? short the +5v and ID pin?i dont know, just search this board
I connect the charger it says its charging for like 2 seconds then stops charging has anybody experienced this, do I need a new battery? New charger? New phone?
Ok it does charge I just gotta play with the charger a bit is this a charger problem or a phone problem?
For me it will be the charger

Happened to my charger because it would always be seating on it and stuff. Just been using the usb charger instead.
Just test with the usb one to see if it is the wall charger's problem.
My girlfriends nook wont charge with any cable including the original after puting honeycomb on the sd card and idk what I did to it... could it be the connectore were using im using a griffon usb wall charger and her nook says discharging then when we plug it in it says not charging and I feel horrible cause I broke it it does go up in percentage but it says not charging... Is there any way to fix this its brand new and I dont have money to replace it plus It was a gift from her mom

Only the official Nook cable and charger will work for charging.
But the percentage goes up, and also it never came with a wall charger only the cable....

If it was new it came with a charger. If used, someone stiffed you. You can buy a charger and cable from B&N for $24.95. The charger and cable have additional charging pins from normal cables which is why other chargers will barely if at all charge it.
It was brand new but only has the cable she still has the box which only has a slot for the cable

Both brand new and Barnes and Noble refurbished come complete with charger and cable. The charger is a small wall adapter with a USB socket that the cable plugs into. It can supply about 2A and over extra wires / pins which are in the official cable.
Check the box and if you didn't get the adapter then you should contact Barnes and Noble.
You can charge your nook with a compatible cell phone charger, but you have to plug in the nook, then turn it off and leave it alone for 8 hours or so to get a full charge.
Do check for the part the cord should plug into, to plug into the wall. Call 1-800-thebook if the cord breaks (which it will!) for a free replacement. The cords are cheaply made. I am on my 5th cord - all replaced for free.

I got my Nexus 7 now after a long experience with Android devices, mostly phones, and I think N7 is a pain to charge.
Sometimes when I'm using it plugged in charge, it seams like the force is just enought to avoid discharging, no to charge. Anyone with this kind of experience?

Not enough details.
Don't expect it to charge plugged into your PC.
it is normal that charges slow when connected to the PC via USB, in fact most of 10.1 tablets does not charge at all turned on, there is not enough power, if it's connected to the wall charger then may be something wrong.
I'm using the stock wall charger. I'll observe better and than be back here with more data about charging times. Thanks.

Make sure you use the original charger and USB cable that came with it. My experience is that it charges relatively quick and consistent across multiple units.
