Hi, is there any tweak to change battery indication steps from 10% to 1%? Thanx
Guess not.
Read something about the battery driver is not able to....
Maybe we try a different driver? (don't know how by the way)
Have a look over here

Thanks all guys so much !!!
have a nice day!!!
I have the same issue. Read this topic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432337
You can't fix it. I think it's a battery issue. If you have warranty go to the HP service center and insist they replace the whole unit or the battery. Does it happen all the time? Tell them to try with different battery charget at 15% and
with bluetooth and wi-fi on try to make a call - if it doesn't switch off it's the battery.
yep
yep, thats your battery dying. mine was in the same condition and i've bought a new battery. everything is o.k now.
Have you tried this update ?

Here comes the long answer
The updates fix the signal strenght but there won't be much improvement in battery life. Install them anyway as they might fix some other problems and some users report that they worked for them on the battery issue. For me they just fixed the signal strength. It's better to instal the patch for power source monitoring (1mb), then the whole firmware upgrade (53mb) and after that some of the custom wm 6.1 roms posted on this site. I get the shutdown issue very rarely because i keep the phone on a charger most of the time. It's good to have Xcpu scalar installed and when you want to save battery just put the cpu at 204 Mhz or even 100 Mhz. You'll be surprised that the device is still fast enough and this somehow prevents it from shutting down during phonecall. My guess is that the main cpu+bluetooth+Wifi consume too much energy per second (Wats/S) so the battery can't supply the power needed and turns off the PDA module. I think there is a separate qualcomm chipset that deals with the phone features so that;s why you still talk after the shutdown. So the problem must be the high power consumption. The solution is either new battery that would hopefully works better or "underclocking" the device when not watching video/playing games/browsing the web. That's it. Or you may try to get your device replaced at a HP service center in case you have a warranty.
Hello
I have a wired issue here after been using HTC D810, TytN 2 and now touch HD.
I flash the latest dutys R7 ROM and all work fine at first. Then this happening:
1. Heating up more then normal
2. Batteries drain so fast full charge last about 2-3 hours idling
3. Hard to charge ( i mean to see charging is taking place)
What i have done:
1. Suspected maybe this latest Rom R7 giving me problem, i down grade to R5 which i used without any problem. Same problem happen.
2. Buy a new batteries and now charging but seems it is stuck at 99%
Now I'm suspecting something when wrong at my hardware...
Any idea?
Anyone has come through this problem?
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Are you using a custom taskbar? If so, with a registry editor, go to HKLM/Security/Resover/Bitmaps and change "BatteryIconLevels" from 101 to 102. You should get to 100%.

to be real with u when htc made the device with the rom on it it was to be at a good speed everything standard with a cooked rom the device has been modied to run at peak performance in some areas, bottom line ur not going to find the perfect device ... now to help slow the burn process there are a few programs and things u can do
1 change ur rom to a lighter rom.
2 change ur radio.
3 advance config to mode wat u use
4 slow ur memory for less consuption
5 in advance config setup device that when use like data then when in not use it will suspend .
6 hd tweak has a mod so when ur talkin on ur device the screen goes blk so less power is being used ... back lite change to 10seconds when not using a program close it these things that ive listed will help slow batt drain
Hi there M8s,
I've just acquired a used G1 lately and i was shocked with the battery life on this little fella and my guess was, it's used and the original user was one of these charger freaks who always plug their phones in charger all the time and so the battery is all messed up "4~6 Hours Max".
anyway, i googled around a bit and looked here and there and found out that it's actually an issue when it comes to the G1 battery with estimated 8 to 10 hours battery cycle "more or less".
finally i set out to try out an old trick that really helped me with my old trusty HTC touch "Elfin" and it's as follows...
1 - Fully drain the battery
2 - Take out the battery and the sim card and hold the power "End" button for 10 or more seconds "i have no idea why ?????"
3 - Put back the battery and the sim card and power your G1 back on and you'll find some more juice " "
4 - Wait till it cut off again.
5 - plug in the charger and power your G1 back on.
6 - as soon as the system loads and the home screen is there activate the wireless, Bluetooth & set screen brightness to full "if you use APNdroid to cut off your 3g connection, disable it"
7 - wait till it's fully charged and make sure from (Settings>About>Status) that it's 100% and not ninety something.
8 - if you got some more time leave it there for another hour or so.
9 - Disable wireless, Bluetooth and set the screen brightness to whatever you do.
10 - Take the G1 off the plug and start using it as you usually do
with me doing this trick with the G1 i got my battery to sustain a cycle of exactly 13~14 Hours from original 6 Hours when i first got it and i only did it 2 times so far and still to go...
i don't know if this will make any difference to anyone or not, but i hope it helps in anyway...
so try it out and tell how does it work out for you.
p.s. sorry for any English mistakes "not my main language"
p.s.2 this trick is also applicable to HTC Touch "Elfin"
Good Luck
"Hope it comes sticky "
Re: Possible method to enhance G1 Battery life "In Details"
I'm gonna try this and let you know my results
Thanks

Sent from my HTC Desire
sounds interessting, gonna try that too (3g connection stuff isn't necessary i guess, you only have to drain the battery somehow?)
might wiping the battery stats at some point help too?
Or just do this:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Troubleshooting#Battery_recalibration
About wiping the battery status, it did help a little.
and for r3s-rt suggestion "Thank you" is also regrading wiping battery status which as i just said it does help a little "but might not help some"
You don't just wipe battery stats. You recalibrate the battery which in turn will usually provide the desired effect that you also get by using your method. It just seems easier to recalibrate than all of what you said. Not trying to compete with you, just pointing out a simpler step.
Also, just wiping battery stats without actually recalibrating does nothing. It's just a waste of time.
I remember this guide when I still had my Touch too...
did you got this from saurabh???
nope i didn't get this from saurabh or any one else, it's just than i'm a developer and at some point i was testing something and through a power output graph i found that when charging "any" device while powering some major function such as wireless or Bluetooth it does push the battery beyond it's current charge capacity "if and only if the capacity was not matching stock condition"...
Im not sure but i think it help me enhance Battery life on MT3G.For 9h still 45% and withot this "hack" was battery out in 10-12h
How do you calibrate your NookColor's battery effectively using the Battery Calibration app by NeMa? I've done it a couple of times and I'm quite unsure whether it did anything good on my battery... On my personal opinion, it just made it worse. Or maybe I did something wrong. It says there that it's recommended to wait for 100% before you calibrate. I did that. It also says that it's recommended to have the battery drain after calibrating, then charge to full without stop. I did that. But after all of I've done, I did not notice any difference, in fact I think it just got worse.
Did I do it right? Can anyone post a tutorial/link that can teach me how to do it right?
You did it right, but I doubt it made anything worse. Let it go through a couple of charge cycles before you pronounce it bad.
All it does is wipe the battery stats and then the OS starts "learning" how the battery works again. It doesn't really change how well your battery works, it just helps the OS understand how the battery works so it can properly report it to you.
try battery left.
From what I have heard, in order to make a successful re-calibration you have to let the Mv charge up to at least 4200 before you begin the recalibration process. I'm not sure what the max Mv is, but another check would be to let the light on the cord turn fully green first I think.
Disclaimer: This method has a chance of messing up your phone, burning your livestock, pillaging your land & starting a war with North Korea. Use with caution
First off let me explain what my Note 3 was doing.
The battery would drain in less than 2 hours & WiFi would drain it even more quickly. I figured it was a TouchWiz problem so I switched to an AOSP base ROM. That did not fix it either.
So after many many fixes I tried something different.
I'm unsure if this will work for everyone, the models I performed this on are the SM-N900T & SM-N900A
Step 1: Charge to 100%
Step 2: Turn on NFC, WiFi, Data, Bluetooth, Flashlight & set brightness to 100%. Now wait for it to die.
Step 3: Reboot it into the OS(it may say 2% even though it died earlier when it said 1%), then let it die again.
Step 4: Repeat Step 3 until it automatically reboots upon starting. Once this happens proceed to step 5.
Step 5: Boot into TWRP, it may show no battery indicator(it didn't for me) or it may.
Step 6: In TWRP tap reboot into recovery
Step 7: Repeat Step 6 until it doesn't even boot into recovery.
Step 7: Charge it & You're done.
Now my Note lasts 6 hours with WiFi on!
I can't promise this will work for everyone, but if it helps even 1 person it's worth it.
Let me know if it helps!
Playing with fire totally draining a battery .
This by the way is not the forum for your phone model .

You should always calibrate your battery when flashing to a new ROM. There are plenty of apps that do this which is I believe what this method accomplished.

This is the Note 3 forum, says so right on the top. This method works the AT&T model aswell. Why create 2 separate posts in two different forums when this method plausibly works on more than the two models it has been tested on?

Wasn't my intention to blame him or anything. Just wanted him to know that there are a few methods out there in case he would have wanted to try that instead or for future reference.
I think I learned something today too, that calibrators don't work if the battery is completely damaged, which is to be expected

No they cannot calibrate the battery .
The battery calibrates itself .
See Battery stats Google engineers post .
Holy crap, i've been draining the battery completely for the past 3 hours and the recovery still says 0%!

Get a new battery, i bought 2 samsung batteries on ebay for 16$ and also you might test the charger, my wall charger (not the usb cable, the one square) was draining out the battery instead of charging it and it messed it up, had to buy nee charger and a new battery. Also found a deal 12$ for samsung wall charger and car charger with 2 usb 2.1 amp
Hello!
Guys, something is draining my battery while phone is powered off. Phone is slightly hot (around camera) also while turned off.
Thx for help.
can you help me?
Sorry you do not know how I do this if my phone says it has 40% battery charge and after it turns off, I do not know how to download everything if it only reaches 40% and it goes off when I put it in the charger says it has 0% Do you know how to do the precess? What is that or should I buy another battery?
First down load a battery calibration app from play store .
(This will not calibrate battery .)
Run the calibrator it will delete battery stats .bin
Use phone recharge if still a problem buy new battery .
Well you may notice that battery calibrator ,like the AccuBattery wont work on N3 so there's probably no way to calibrate it because of unsupported hardware
You cannot use any app to calibrate .
Calibration is a function of the battery and using it .
See multiple posts on the subject .
Not much changed , i see your method was once reccomended for users to do once a month . Btw is it neccessary to force it boot up to recovery manually after selecting "reboot to recovery " from TWRP without success ? Below is the time when my battery decrease from 20 to 10%
That was to be used as a one off to eliminate one very slight possible fault.
Calibration posts abounded on xda until Google engineer Dianne Hackborn put the correct information in a blog .
Delete battery stats bin ( that all a calibration app does)
Does not and cannot calibrate a battery .
