This is official from Samsung?
WTF,

Sorry, is a question. I heard some people are starting to get this ROM through Kies so I think it is official... (last Froyo for our SGS...)
If is a question, please, delete the "[rom]" part in the title of the thread

So what's the final word on this, is JPZ in fact a newer, separate firmware than JPY or just a naming error by Samsung?
Could some body explain to me how can I update the firmware of my mobile to froyo? I bought my mobile in Guatemala on Tigo company... is a Samsung galaxy S GT-i9000t
Connect to Kies Official Firmware update or take it to a service centre .

What product code do you have? If its TTT then there is an update in kies. Just download the latest kies and update. Then you can root by flashing speedmod or with superoneclick. Then please share the modem! If you dont know how then i can explain it is very easy. I have been looking for this modem for quite some time!
If you have any problems updating send me a PM and I can walk you through it.
Cheers
well the model is GT-I9000T
Firmware version 2.1 update1
Baseband version I9000TUBJH1
Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
Build Number Eclair.UBJI1
Could you send me the link of a good tutorial for the update or walkme through it.
I have connect my mobile to the Kies (latest version) but it seems that for my company (Tigo) and my country the Froyo version is not abailable yet...
so what are my options?
product code: GT-I9000HKTTTT
First you need to change your csc. Type *#272*hhmm# where hhmm is current hour and minutes on your phone. Change your salea code to TTT. This will also wipe your phone but its must.
Now.connect with kies. Let me know.

Really?, did you update yet?, to which version?, which region is your phone?
Nothing for india
after 40 minutes updating it installed OK, I booted the phone and got "updating android: optimizing app 2 of 2" then "launching apps"
checked in settings "about phone", nothing changed in versions. I assume "update service" can't do partial updates as OTA do.

Yes! My phone is Poland Generic, after I flashed it by Flashtool, originally got that from TMobile PL.
I downloaded the 9,2MB file and than the update process which you start manually was like 2 minutes lol.
Just rebooted itself, optimized apps and voila.
Version now - .434.
THAN I got some Sony apps and widgets upgrades - weather, new app world clock, top contacts.
