what version of android?
its a problem with the startup.txt. check the first page of whichever android build or zimage you are using.

@rock4mayo -> change the sd-card... like "buy a new one!?!"
@thesweeney -> its a package called shubCRAFT v1.2b. i think its android 2.2 but I´m not sure witch version it is exactly..
the startup txt says this:
"set mtype 2524
#set ramaddr 0x18000000
#set ramsize 0x17c00000
set ramaddr 0x18000000
set ramsize 0x0fc00000
set initrd_offset 0x00a00000
set initrd initrd.gz
set kernel zImage
set cmdline "rel_path=Android"
#pwf log/ramconsole.txt 0x2FFC0000 0x40000
#log log/haret0.txt
boot"
thank for quick reply...

yea i did, i spend hours to fix that without result,so i changed my sd card, and it works without modifying startup.tx

ok.... i´ll spend this 30 euros tomorrow... i need more space in one way or the other.
@thesweeney: i found this a minute ago... u think thats it?!?:
If you get "unable to mount sdcard" plz replace "set cmdline "rel_path=Android"" with "set cmdline "rel_path=Android loop_partition=mmcblk0"" in startup.txt

btw: any sd card you recommend??

i used micro sd 16gb class 6

Maybe you must use this file:
View attachment startup.txt
Please try it again.Good luck!

you must Move this files from Root of sd card to Android Folder
and run it from /SD Card/Android

Good morning everyone.
@jerrylzy: thx for the file, but it doesnt change anything...
@Vahidmoby: also tried your advice, but didnt work too..
can someone maybe explain to me, why first this was working, and the second time i try to start it, its not loading/working anymore... this is reeeeeaally costing me nervs and it would be great to just understand why?!?
Have a nice day and a great premier league start!!

Lol guys relax.. u dont have to buy a new SD card. I was having same problem and i posted a lot abt this in threads but no reply.
So wat i did was. Take the android folder u download, make a folder on SD card named Android or AndroidRC or something.
Copy all the android files in that folder.
After u do that open the startup.txt
and change Android to watever name ur using. like Android or AndroidRC
set cmdline "rel_path=Android"
Save it and it should work.
I am using 4-5 different builds on same SD card and after i did this i did not have any issue booting.
Let me know if u need more help.
Thanks

Multiple boots Android/Linux on one SDcard? Possible?!!

Dear all developers, cookers, testers and all Leo-Andro guys here. Thank you very much for all of your efforts to make HD2 so fun.
My idea is we have a lot of Builds here that I love them much namely:
[BUILD] [26.07.2010] [darkstone HD2Froyo v1] now with GPS work via new sys.ext2 perfect for me with cool battery, low drain and high quality call and so smoothly.
[BUILD] [30.07.2010][mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense RC1.3a] with SENSE very brilliant build.
The problem is it possible to have triple boot or more with out change new SD card.
That means we may put some difference builds in differ Android folders in SD card and a good boot loader may scan those folder and asking you to select your favorite build.
The other thing is we may seen some files in the root of SD card and difference build can confuse when access them. Is possible to put all file of each Build in their own folders ONLY?
Thank you all Leo-Andro guys again.

Good idea!
The easiest solution would be to MANUALLY assign specific folders from out WinMo, which then links to a program to select on these folders to boot.
/storage/android1
/storage/android2
/storage/android3
Then from a boot-select screen you just select one of the folders to boot. Shouldn't be that hard to do.
Maybe Partition SD card??? that might work won't it?

treats each folder as a partition
triple boot is a fantastic idea
for example JMZ Android triple-boot
WinMo - android - ubuntu
I'm already Quad Booting... for the last 2 weeks
Just use Exceller's Android Loader
so if im reading right, we can just do the folder hierarchy and we can run different android builds off the same sd card????

Yes... that's what I've been doing... just make sure to edit your startup.txt in each folder where your build resides.

Exceller's dual boot has been doing this already. You can choose whatever build you have on your sdcard and even boot ubuntu.

but
set cmdline "lpj=638976" in mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense RC1.4

Just add the rel_path=foldername to cmd in between the "" don't remove the lpj thingy
It will look like this:
cmd "rel_path=foldername lpj... "
Sent from my HD2 Froyo

If you use a Froyo version, then you need to put all files inside the folder called "Android" in the SD card.
Cheers!
Android work but if I want to reboot my Phone it comes sometimes to this problem
than I have to format my sd card and kopie android on the card angan
Same problem here. I use the mattc Froyo RC 1.5 (all files are in the root of the sd-card). If i delete the Andriod folder the problem doesn't occur anymore. But i have to delete this folder erverytime i want to start Android! Found this possible solution in another thread!

[Q] Having more than one android build

Hi everyone, this is something I know it's possible because I read someone already did, but I can't find where I read it.
They said it was done by renaming the android folder to android2 or whatever and adding a line to startup.txt
Any clues? Thank you

It is possible.
1.. First copy of Android on SDcard with whatever name ( Name your Android Folder). Then edit the startup.txt with the same Android folder name in set cmdline "rel_path=YOURANDROIDFOLDER"
2. Second copy your second Android on SDcard with whatever name......Then exit the startup.txt with the '''''''''' cmdline "rel_path=YOURANDROIDFOLDER"
3. If want more android..... repeat step 1...2...3
Then use an Android Loader by [APP] Exceller Multiple Build Loader for AndroidUbuntu Updated August 18 to load your choice of Android.

I always have 2 sd cards dedicated for my HD2. When I am ready to try out a new build, I throw it on the 2nd sd card. If the new build works well I stick with it and if not I fall back to the previous build. It makes a lot of sense for me because well I have 2 sd cards and only one phone.

[Q] Assistance with error on startup.txt?

Peace all,
Currently try to place the Andriod OS on my girlfreind's HD2. I had placed the file on her SD card before and it worked w/o any problems. Recently she started having problems so I decided to place a real "dual boot" ROM (OzDroid) onto her phone. that went well---but when i placed Meejay's Revolution 2.3 on the root of her SD card---for some reason OzDroid doesn't detect the Android build and when i try to do the fix that comes on OzDroid to repair Android it says "error on startup.txt". Can anyone help me with this or point me to the right direction?
thanks in advance

but what is the text inside startup.txt?
Perhaps it's because it's looking natively in the "Android" folder, which I know guess is not pressent on the other SD card.
Open your startup.txt on your android phone, and look for this line:
set cmd "rel_path=Android" or simmilar. If so, remove the entire cmd line, if there is nothing else in that line. Otherwise, just remove the rel_path=Android part inside the "" signs.
Hope this helps you

[Q] best android release + tutorial.

Hi, can anyone tell me whats the best andriod rom relese for daily use and games? BTW i need full guide how install android os on htc touch hd step by step. Thanks.
There isnt one as yet that I think your after.
Most android builds are still just alpha in the sense that the HD will not work 100%, the GPS or camera will not function, or other missing key parts as such.
I don't believe you will find a complete 100% working build just yet, but I do think they are getting closer.
i know that there arent any 100% working but whitch release are best?
have a look over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921687
if you choose xdandroid
there are several xdandroid verisions that work on HD,but xdandroid version that is quickest on our devices can be found here, together with instructionshttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732362
if you want to try froyo x
froyo x that can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=904918
version 1.12 is in the first post
version 1.21 is in the second post
i didn't get wifi to work on either of these on my phone, but there are guys that say it works on HD
i suggest you to try 1.12 first
just download it,extract to sdcard
if you want to use a folder on sdcard so these files don't mess with others make a folder called andboot.froyox
extract everything there
open the folder go to "startup" folder in which there is "blackstone" folder, open it and copy startup.txt to folder in which you extracted the zip (overwrite the old startup.txt if you get prompted)
open the startup.txt file delete everythin, and paste this instead
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2030
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77 msmvkeyb_toggle=off msm_blackstone_pad.vibrate=1 pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=-2,-1,3 rel_path=andboot.froyox"
boot
save the startup.txt
and run HARET.exe
give the phone a bit time to compile the image (can take 10 minutes)
and that's pretty much that
post any additional questions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627749
and please read forum rules and do not open new threads asking things because that is what FAQ threads are for
ah yes and always search before posting (that's how i learned to do this)
disclaimer:
i,or anyone else over here isn't responsible for any possible damage caused to your phone
(although no one ever complained...the worst case is that you will have to hard reset the device, but that is very rare)
