I got this problem and was able to solve it
my (unrooted) xperiax10 started to frequently indicate that android.process.acore was crashing
Cause: After reading other posts, I think it has to do with the way phone was reading the file system on the micro sdhc card .. in retrospect it occurred after I went about renaming the music folders in ascending order.
Solution: I reopened the music apk and it seems to have updated the play list and voila, thing were all good again

I was getting this error for a while now. So here is the whole thing.
I was using JF1.5 along with Lucid's script. And I started getting errors such as...
"The application Messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly."
along with, what seemed like, every other application I tried to use. I noticed that it was right about the time that JF1.51 came out, so I thought that maybe the programs I was using got updated without the system being updated or whatever.
I bricked my phone about 1000 times but, with a ton of help from Lucid, I was able to repair the error on the SD card and was problem free... for about a week.
Working fine this morning, I rebooted my phone and am now having the error again every time I try to open a messaging program. I was using ChompSMS the first time and am now using Handcent SMS. I have uninstalled both of them and cannot even open the stock messaging program without getting the error and need to force close.
I did the same steps as last time (as far as I can remember) which were:
- Factory wipe
- Apply JF1.51 update
- Download and run Lucid's script to get e2fsck
- Running e2fsck to make sure no errors
- Run Lucid REM for apps, data and dalvik
When I restart my phone I also get the same error from PF Voicemail+ but the option to wait is also there.
I am driving myself crazy trying to fix it. Everything I have searched for seems to only be problems with images, but mine is even opening the SMS program. BAHHHHHH!!!!!!
JF1.51 w/ Lucid REM
8GB SanDisk MicroSD HC
any news on that?
I also have an com.android.mms error.
I wanted to back up my nook using rom manager today, it said it needed to downloaded something in order to backup, did the download and proceeded to backup. Now when I go to read my book I get "process com.mantano.reader.android has stopped unexpectedly". I have repeatedly tried to open books and keep getting that message. I did a restore from the backup I just did, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, also tried something in rom manager that said it could help with force closes (I get an error near the end with that).
Also will not show all my pictures in the image viewer, but I can view them when I go into "my files"
Ok, this is gonna sound stupid now, but think I figured out the problem. I forget where I saw it but something said my SD card was full. I deleted my two backups that I had in rom manager and guess what? Everything works fine.....
Hello, I'm having a problem I could not solve even after searching in many forums and video tutorials.
My situation is as follows. Due to technical problems in my Galaxy Y GTS-5310 (it suffered some sort of electric pane that disabled the camera and the input of the headset), I decided to buy a GTS-5360.
The GTS-5310 device was ok to run all applications I used normally, with 4.1.2 Jellyfish. Whenever any updated version of any app was not available on Google Play for some reason (with some exceptions here and there), I've always been able to install it directly through the SD Card.
As I imagined, this new device (with old 2.6.1 Gingerbread) did not recognize the installation of most apps I used (such as Whatsapp, Waze or Instagram). I have managed to install only few of them, like Facebook Lite or Root Browser, and only through the SD Card.
On this new phone, the Google Play Store always shows me a message of incompatible versions (either with Error 492 or simply not making the download button available). Whenever I try to install any of these through SD Card (by downloading the .apk file directly to my computer, be it in Google Chrome or Firefox), then Parse Error appears ("There is a problem parsing this package").
So my first attempt was to use Google Market Helper to change the ROM record as it is viewed by Google Play. However, even changing the version registration of the device to a more upgraded one, this did not work.
The next step was to actually install a new ROM. I have since tried Hyperion 9.0 (2.6), then I try upgrading to Lollipop (4.4), which runs ok, except for installing these apps. As far as I know, the latter should accept the download and installation of most of the apps mentioned above. But whatever I tried, I kept getting the same error messages (Error 492 via Google Market, Parse Error via SD Card).
Since then, some of the suggestions I've followed have not worked either. These include deleting the .android_secure folder from the SD Card, then clearing the cache of processes such as the Google Play Store and Google Framework, as well as clearing the dalvik cache through CWM and rebooting. I did this more than once, but the problem persisted.
I wonder now whether even upgrading the Galaxy Y GTS-5360 to a compatible ROM such as Lollipop is enough for being able to run these applications due to hardware issues.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi, galaxy y s5360 just support gingerbread is the reason of pars error when you install higher android apps.
About 492, any notification( log in error or gtalk...)?
Did you tried:
- Turn off device, Delete that folder on computer, then flash the rom again
- log in new gg acc
Hi,
This is related to a previous thread where internal memory gets full, which was solved temporarily.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/rr5-8-4-athene-internal-memory-filled-t3678840
I am using
[ROM][OFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix v5.8.5 [7.1.2_r29][XT16xx][athene] + Magisk + ElementalX on Moto G4 Plus with 128 GB SD card as adopted storage.
The internal memory was getting full within a week, and with the help of suggestions received, I located that /data/power_supply_logger had .csv log files which were 20GB+ in size. So I deleted them and solved the problem at the time.
Then it repeated in a week I had the same issue. the log files grow about 2 MB every minute. I removed write permissions to the folder and deleted the file.
I noticed that since I removed the permissions to write, the battery life really got longer and the phone also charges much quickly now. Some users pointed out that battery was charging slowly in RR - I faced that problem too and it looks like has gone away. I would like to make it a bit cleaner - a process making an attempt to write every minute and failing is got a good work around.
Using AppsSD I found that /system/bin/batt_health running as mot_pwric user is attempting to write every minute and now that the permission is removed the attempt is failing.
Is there a way I can disable this process - it is not listed in Apps or System apps.
Or if anyone knows how to disable logging by batt_health, that would be better.
Thanks
Sreekumar
Maybe some of your apps are logging there?! I have this folder too, but empty.
/system/bin/batt_health running as mot_pwric user is the process logging it. How to disable this process - or if it is spawned by an app, how to locate the parent app.

My suggestion: Just install the rom and gapps mini/pico or beans mini and see if it logs again. If not: install ONE of your 3rd party apps, see if it happens again. If not, install the next one and so on.
Maybe you have switched something on in Rom settings?

I too have this folder and is showing 1.01mb in size.
I cut out read acces to batt_health and it seems nothing has changed.
Also i search folders for battery stats and all are nrml to me.
All of them combined also im not getting more than 10+mbs.
Idk what u have been using or any particular reason for you
I'll suggest clean flash your rom. Use verified gapps and restore backup of apps only and not data. If and if only you need that data restore it.
Use device for 3 to 4 days and see if problem exist.
OK. I will try these suggestions and see if goes away.
After having enough with PE10, due to non working camera and stream apps I returned to original room 8.1
After reinstalling all looks like it is working fine, except the Google Play Store -> it is Completing Setup for the past 3 day's.
It says that will install 0 from 4 application, but it is not going forward. Has any one faced such issue?
ROM I have downloaded latest one from Google directly.
BTW, I have tried to installed it twice and the same issue, also I am typing from this Nexus, so in general all works but I cannot update anything....
Has anyone faced similar issue? I am not able to install any thing due to "freeze" Google Play Store....
I have inserted SIM card if that would help, but still the same issue...
It can be closed: I have clear cache and data. Force stop application. Then reopened and it started to work correctly.
